No visit to the Eastern Market is complete without a stop at Wigley’s. If you have been shopping all day, or just waiting for the golden hour, your time will be well spent.
At the far end of the market is a small brick building with a number of tables and smells of heavenly corned beef wafting through the air. The sandwiches aren;t as big as the ones from the Bread Basket or Carnegie Deli, but they are just as good, and for a mere 6 dollars, you get a good meal.
No frills, no credit cards, cash only. They include a nice pickle, and decent respectable brown mustard.
