I’ve stopped in several times for flowers before, and have always been pleased with the quality of the flowers and with how long they last. I recently had them provide table arrangements for my wedding reception. The flowers were beautiful, but the service received wasn’t great. Their rep will email you with a question, but asks that you call her back because she very rarely checks her email. In terms of payment, I had to pay a deposit to reserve the date and then the final amount was due two weeks before the event(standard practice). I was quite surprised to receive and email from the rep a month beforehand, informing me that I needed to be making weekly payments from that point forward — which was not called out in the contract. So I guess for regular flowers, Thrifty Florist is good — and their prices are great — but I’ll not be going to them again for an event.

I like Thrifty Florist. If you’re looking for fresh flowers to bring a little joy to the home or for that someone you believe is special this is the place to stop. The shop certainly won’t wow you with décor but you’ll get the point if you haven’t already just based on the name. They are open all year round and take special orders for weddings and funerals. If you are uncertain of the type of arrangement you are looking for they have a book for you to peruse to help you out. The service is pretty good but when the store gets crowded with customers looking for different things you can easily loose your place in line. They also carry novelty items such as magnets, pins, vases for your arrangements, balloons and bears. Don’t let the name Thrifty fool you. While the flowers may be cheaper than most, don’t get sucked in to buying all the extras. You won’t be thrifty by the time you leave.
