Don’t expect anything fancy, just good food and friendly service. This place seems sketchy, and was tricky to find as there wasn’t a sign. We parked in a gated area and went in through the back door(we were just debating on how to get in and saw someone coming out, thankfully!). I’d recommend this place to my more adventurous friends who aren’t intimidated easily. :) Also, BRINGCASH.

Hands down the best taqueria in Detroit. Limited menu but excellent. Your order is chopped, cooked and thrown on a freshly grilled taco. Served with some pickled carrots, limes and radishes. Also, super clean. Super friendly staff.

The place is hard to find. It’s a dilapidated scary building without any signs of a restaurant. We parked in the back but still no signs of a restaurant. Skeptically(and courageously) we opened the door. And there it is – we see actually a sitting area. Lots of chairs and tables and inside there is actually a sign which says«Taqueria Valente». And then a huge relief — we are at the right place. Anyways, food is awesome. Looks like it is a family start up. I think the taco truck ‘El Primo’ is the best in tacos but I thinks this one is on par with that. Small tacos $ 1 each and full of flavor. BUT on one thing this blows any place away is the quesedillas. Amazing! Things I tried: Chicken and Al Pastor Tacos. They were awesome. But Al Pastor Quesedilla is in whole another territory. Very very good.
