Dr Robertson looked after my teeth in my childhood. He was always warm and reassuring, explaining what he was doing and why. I wasn’t afraid to go to the dentist, and there is still evidence of the great work he did then in my smile now!
When I moved away from the area and went to other dentists over the years, as an adult I became a very nervous dental patient, particularly about painful shots. I would start crying in the waiting room about the ordeal that lay ahead of me – even if it was just a routine check-​up!
I was back in Detroit one year and went back to see Dr. Robertson for a filling. I had forgotten just how wonderful a dentist he is. Where other dentists had routinely given me 5+ painful shots and still failed to numb my mouth, I never felt the 1 shot Dr. Robertson gave me, which completely numbed by mouth and made the visit quick and painless.
