Pasta Bowl Restaurant

I went to the Southfield location. The food was decent. I had the shrimp alfredo, but they didnt honor the terms of the Groupon they set.

I gave five stars because I have no complaints. I ordered the Barbs Bolognese (traditional spaghetti), BJs Greens (chicken and spinach pasta) and The Star (Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta). My favorite was BJs Greens, but they all were great. I’ll tell you, my expectations were low based on the reviews. But the moment I opened the boxes I said «It looks too good not to be» and I wasn’t wrong. The presentation was great and the flavor was robust and spot on. My noodles weren’t over cooked and my sauce wasn’t watery, pretty thick actually. Also, they told me 20 minutes and guess what, it was ready in 20 minutes!!! Overall, I have no complaints and I’ll give credit when it’s due. Great place, loved the food and I will be back, just on a weekday, lol. In my opinion, the people who had those negative experiences may have visited on a weekend. You know when places are extremely busy and backed up. I went on a Wednesday and there were people waiting but it wasn’t terribly busy and my order was ready when they said it would be. So I’m a happy customer. Great Job Pasta Bowl!!! Awesome Food! This was my first time trying their food and it was good. I had the shrimp scallop and crab pasta. Th crab was imitation crab but still good. Next time I will try the lasagna. The owner was cool and friendly.

I only gave 4 stars because I’ve only tried one item which was absolutely excellent. The seafood lasagna was very delicious and the portion size made for good leftovers which tastes even better the second day.

Awful!!! Very disappointed. The pasta was overcooked, the sauce was watery and wasnt seasoned. I ordered the seafood pasta and was served imitation crab meat that was doughy and it was $ 13!!! Will not spend another penny in this restaurant.

The Pasta Bowl is the Bomb Diggity!!! You will become Fat and broke going to this place!!! I’ve been 3 days in a row. Each thing is better than the last. I may even go back today. Thank God, they are closed on Monday. Great place in the Nieghborhood!!!

I wanted to like this place, I really did. But it was a great disappointment. I ordered the Trese Favorite (I suppose I spelled it right) I give them a star for portion size, and tenderness of the chicken other than that it was EXTREMELY SALTY with no flavor. I was truly disappointed. Maybe, I should’ve tried something else.

Wanted to try Money Marr’s (turkey spaghetti) and the Big Bob’s (steak and cheese lasagna). When I ordered, I was not informed that the lasagna takes 30 minutes to prepare, which feels like a long time in a takeout joint. However, another guest after me was told about the 30 minute wait. The staff was unprofessional (loud and unprofessional talking in kitchen along with singing). The huge portions make the prices a value. The turkey spaghetti was tasty. The steak and cheese lasagna was over seasoned (salt lick).

It’s a watery, no flavor once you’re past the toppings, overpriced mess. The «sauce» each pasta comes in seems to just be a result of poorly drained noodles and too much seasoning. They don’t have half of their menu before the dinner rush, which is absolutely unbelievable. The portion sizes are uncomfortably large and the wait time is ridiculous. I really wanted to like this place but nah. It just isn’t good.

Very good food great service its Good to not only see a striving black owned Business but too see One that is great at what they do God bless.

Where do I start? We rode by this place at least 3times before stopping and every time it was off the hook! Finally stopped to check it out. We didn’t know what to order so, the owner came out and helped. OMG I got the pasta with lamb chops, shrimp, and lobster meat!!! YES it was AWESOMENESS

The food is damn good. The servings are substantial, what I mean to say is one, order one meal, will serve about three people. The kitchen is visually clean and so is the lobby. Their lemonade is outstanding as well. I hope they are able to maintain the quality and their success in the months and years to come.

We were completely turned off by the environment. Upon arriving we were treated 2 what looked like a local gang hangout. The sign looked like something kindergarteners completed. The food could be amazing, but u would never try it because of the atmosphere.

Heard about the Pasta Bowl from a few people and decided to try it for myself. The photos will make your mouth water with anticipation of what you are about to eat. I couldn’t resist the smells of the dishes we got when taking the photos for this review. As I took my first bite I was in love. I have never had pasta with so much flavor and balance of tasty shrimp and vegetables. The other dish we ordered was the lamb chop dish which instantly made the list of great pasta dishes as well. All I can say is that this is a gem in the city.
