Long line. Quick service. I’m new to working Downtown. So I headed here with a co-worker. When we arrived o my word was the line long. Holy smokes. I thought it would take forever to get service. I was wrong. The time that I spent in line, ordering my meal and paying was probably a total of ten minutes. Which I was very happy with. There was limited contact with the staff. What interaction I did have with them was lovely. All were quick workers and got you what you wanted in a short time. None of them were rude by any means. I ordered a Turkey Rueben with no cheese. The sand which was so thick! Sadly, when I unwrapped my sandwich the bread was soggy due to the amount of thousand island dressing. I also couldn’t really taste the coleslaw, but I knew it was there. Overall it was a good sandwich. I’ll probably explore the menu more though next time I come in.

I’ve been a customer for years, never really had much to complain about. The past two times I’ve been to LTG, my sandwiches took a ridiculously long time to make, which was a little annoying. But then yesterday, I stood there waiting for my order for about 7 minutes even after my friends had already got and paid for their orders. I got back to my office and opened the sandwich, and it was so poorly wrapped and slimy and disgusting that I am still nauseous thinking about it. The whole experience completely ruined my day.

Food: Very tasty soup. Lots to choose from. Price: Good! A medium soup was about $ 5. Also had crackers, spoons, and napkins to go. Décor: It’s pretty busy during lunch but there is space to sit. Service: Friendly. A bit of a line during the lunch hour. Overall: One of my go-to places for a tasty soup lunch!

I’m so happy I found time global. Working downtown it can be hard to find something that is both reasonably priced and reasonably healthy. Lunchtime global soup is fantastic, inexpensive, and very very fast. My teammates tell me the sandwiches are very good as well. So if you’re in downtown Detroit and looking for something reasonably priced, quick, and delicious to eat I definitely recommend LTG.

Bad vibes! So, my husband and I went to get lunch there yesterday 12÷08÷15 at 1:30 pm. The food was good, but the staff was so rude it ruined the mood for us. The guy kept asking questions on how we wanted our sandwich to be done like he was doing us a favor. We asked what kind of soup they had, the other guy pointed to the wall rolling eyes and everything. We’re not picky, we were just lost as it was our first time there and we didn’t know the menu. I don’t spend my money to put up with attitude, that was our the first and last time there.

I love LTG! They have over 15 different soups. All of which are delicious. They have fresh baked buns for their amazing sandwiches. I love the blazin bird sandwich with a cup of jalapeño tater tot cheese soup! Or the atomic turkey with the Philly cheesesteak soup. They also have a cold counter full of homemade salads with house made dressing. One of the best lunches in the city.

Yum! Just had a cup of Chicken Tikki Masala soup! Lots of chicken, rice, lite cream broth, and curry. Not spicy, just yummy! Paired with mixed green salad with fresh, fresh, fresh tomatoes and ginger dressing. Soup and dressing were hand made, and very tasty! This is the place for lunch!

Great Soups, great sandwiches, great salads, fresh ingredients, clean. The only downside is that the line is often out the door, but they still beat most of the competition’s speed. I avoided them a couple years ago after a change in management/ownership; but they are back on track.

Best Caprese salad I’ve ever had! Mainly because the balsamic dressing is made in house, and the pesto they add is also made in house, both of which make a big difference in the taste. It’s perfect with their soup!

I’ve given it many chances but all I can say is yuck. For being a «global» inspired restaurant your global food isn’t even close to the authentic counterpart. The soup is always super salty. Pasta salad has a weird chemical taste. Salads are expensive and bla. The staff is kind which I appreciate but the food isn’t worth my money.

They always have EXCELLENT soup and their sandwiches are not too shabby either. Good bread and good ingredients. It’s cafeteria style, so perfect for a quick work lunch, and everyone is always very friendly. I really love the chicken pot pie soup, the eggplant bisque is STUPID good, and the jalapeño cheddar potato is delish. As for the sandwiches, I really like the jerk chicken club thing. Yummy sauce and fresh veg.

Went back to this place — still don’t like it that much. Today I ordered the chicken noodle soup. It was too salty for my taste, and the noodles didn’t really taste fresh at all. I gave the chicken cesaer salad a second try but was still not impressed; the lettuce is somewhat fresh but the chicken is a tasteless sponge.

1. My first review goes to the BEST soup in Detroit(that I have had, and I eat quite a bit)…drum roll… ta da… Lunchtime Global 2. Chicken Pot Pie in a soup form might be better than chicken pot pie not in a soup form. 3. I don’t know where to begin in describing the texture, wait no the velvet, rich and creamy chicken pot pie soup. 4. Maybe the chunks(mammouth.no not shredded fake chicken cubes, but hand cut(different sizes) morsels of the most tender chicken breast! 5. Veggies: this has them and they don’t play. Peas-check. Carrots– check. Potatoe– check. I don’t remember much besides the taste that will never leave my mouth. 6. What do we cover our pot pies with? Yes I asked you that question. oh you don’t know. Don’t worry because at LunchTime Global in their soup are the most delicious, buttery, melt on your tongue heavenly spheres of flaky pie dough. I can NOT stress they are the star of the show! 7. Okay before I forget this is available only on Wednesday and don’t forget to try the Chicken meat loaf. p. s. Free is the man behind the genius that is Lunch Time Global, thank you Free :)

One of the best places for a quick lunch downtown. The Copenhagen salad, jalapeño mac and cheese, and spinach dip snack packs are especially awesome! Great selection of beverages too.

Lunchtime Global offers more unique sandwich and soup options than you can shake a stick at! If you’re a carnivore, go for the Jive Turkey sandwich. It is mouthwateringly delicious with melt-in-your-mouth smoked turkey, romaine, tomato, and mucky duck mustard. Are you a vegetarian? Then go for the Sweet Potato & Red Pepper sandwich. YUM! But if that doesn’t appeal, perhaps falafel will. An eclectic variety of soups are offered, from dill pickle to Tuscan chickpea, to African peanut, they are all tempting. A ½ sandwich and cup of soup only sets you back $ 7.25, which is a great price because the ½ sandwich here equals a full sandwich anywhere else. Oh — and their salads are fresh and good, too. Try it; you’ll like it!

I wish I could comment on all the amazing sandwiches, but since this pregnant lady isn’t eating lunch meat, I sadly haven’t experienced LTG to the fullest yet. However, I did try their daily special of pasta and veggies with chicken, which was really good. They also have a nice breakfast spread in the morning, including pastries, Naked Juice, fruits, yogurt, etc. I look forward to trying it out more thoroughly :)
