L George’s Coney Island

This spot is really great for late night eats. The Drive Thru and the walk up window are both open 24 hours, 6 days a week. The neighborhood is probably not the safest as I’m sitting in the parking lot waiting for my food and watching a young couple’s vehicle get searched at the gas station across the street. But I don’t stay far and the food is good. They don’t have squeeze cheese, which is a big minus at a Coney Island in my book, but the chili is full and flavorful. It’s standard priced Coney Island fare, $ 4.50 for a coney and chili fries, extra for cheese. During day hours, the inside is spacious and clean and the employees are friendly enough, a bit more with the regulars. After nightfall, the best way to get food is to call it in and pick up at the window, otherwise expect to spend the upside of 30 minutes waiting in the drive thru.
