A solid liquor store in southwest detroit. I’ll go here over others in the area because I find it friendlier, safer feeling, and with better selection. Nothing too fancy here — as far as beer and spirit selections go, you’ll find just what you need but don’t expect to come across anything rare or exciting.

Weak on beer, decent spirits selection, open LATE, handy on-the-go. This place is right on the corner of Vernor and Clark. They don’t offer anything surprising in terms of beer(classic lites, canadian beers, mexican beers, maybe heineken and stella artois, and your standard 40s). But they DO have a decent spirits selection, nothing rare or extraordinary, but well stocked with a good spread between high, middle, and low shelf brands of your standard boozes. For their grand opening, maybe a year ago, they put a giant kiddy-pool right in front of the entrance(on the inside), then filled it with ice and 40s. I’m glad they don’t do that any more. You can almost always find a space right in front of the door on Vernor to park, and it’s open until 2:30am every day. Plus the people who run it are super friendly and professional. I consider this my go-to«convenience» seller of spirits when I need to replace a bottle of whatever.
