The Beach Portrait Company

The photos that we received from The Beach Portrait Company were the best photos my family has ever received!!! These family photos will be treasured forever!!! We are so glad we will have these photos to treasure forever!! They are just beautiful!!! You can never go back in time!!! They know how to capture that moment in time that will never happen again!!!
We were very pleased with the professionalism of Jay and Sey!!! Everything is explained ahead of time, from what we need to do to prepare and how everything is priced. Our session had to be rescheduled due to the very windy conditions. They were not out to make money, but wanted to make us happy, and knew if it was really windy the pictures would not turn out well. We rescheduled for the next day, when it was not so windy and our hair wouldn’t be blowing everywhere. So glad we did!!!
During our session, you do have to listen to what they are asking you to do. They wanted to make sure we would be happy with our pictures. They are very particular and it shows in the work they produce. These photos are worth the wait and every penny you will ever spend!!!

We had our photos done a few years ago, and for some reason I am just now getting around to writing this review. I wish I would have a lot sooner, because I hope that no one else experienced was I did with Jay. We (my family and I who were getting our photos done on our Destin vacation) actually never met his wife, who I believe was named Say? Jay actually took our photos and we only talked to his wife on the phone, who also apparently takes pictures as well. She always seem extremely nice on the phone and told us she and her husband, Jay would take the photos. Long story short, only Jay showed up. Which was fine. The photo shoot itself wasn’t terrible. There were a few times I could sense that Jay was frustrated or trying to hurry. We had my 1 year old nephew with us, and at times you could tell he didn’t have a ton of patience. But all in all, it wasn’t a terrible experience. It was weeks afterwards that I was horrified by his character and business! It had been several weeks since we heard from or seen any pictures from our session. I called a few times and was reassured they were on their way. Finally, after talking with Say three times about the photos being ready, I called again about a week later and ended up on the phone with Jay. I was BLOWN away by what happened. I asked again when the photos would be ready, at this time it had been about 6 weeks and not one picture, he literally went off on me. I mean called me names, screamed at me, and cussed me out. I was appalled. I could not believe someone I paid to do a service for me was speaking to me like he was. I could hear his wife in the background telling him to calm down and he would tell her how terrible I was right there with me on the phone. Eventually his wife came on and tried to apologize NUMEROUS times and reassured me the photos were coming. I almost felt sorry for her because she was so sweet and her «business partner» husband was a complete jerk. I eventually got the photos the next day. They weren’t necessarily bad photos, but I was a little disappointed. Some photos were off centered, really bright on our faces, or taken from really far away. But overall, the beauty of the beach and sunset still made the photos okay. But, as I looked at the prices of ordering photos and what I had already paid, I could not let myself support a business owner like Jay. My family and I decided not to order any prints or give that company anymore of our money for how I was treated. We ended up with not one single image from that session. I wasn’t even upset though. I would rather use the photos we took ourselves and the memories we made to look back at our trip, than to see those pictures and remember how I was treated by someone I paid for what should have been a fun experience. I would never, ever recommend this company to anyone. I am honestly quite surprised they are even still in business. Choose a different photographer! Make your vacation photos a good experience, not a nightmare!
