Mexican food for the most part is run of the mill, but the food here is much better than that. The shredded chicken they serve is very good quality, chips and salsa is very tasty. pricing is very fair, and help is friendly and efficient. Only problem is parking which is limited so get there early.

The parking lot was full so we pulled in. I had camarone chipotle and he Carne Asada. Both so tasty we couldn’t wait for the next bite. Great selection of Mexican beers. Service on top of it. Thanks for a great time

Food taste like a TV dinner. They have been stealing credit cards for the past 5 years. No idea how they haven’t been shut down.

Service not good. Burritos are extremely small and extremely expensive for the size. I won’t come again.

I looove this place! Every time I go to Destin this place is my first stop. Delicious margaritas and their white queso will leave you disappointed with anyone’s else’s queso for the rest of your life. Trust me, I know.

Great place! My 9 year old nephew wanted tacos. We love Mexican, but myself and the rest of the family wanted to get as much seafood as we could while at the beach and did not really look forward to going. Soooo glad we did! The food was awesome and the service was great! My husband even kept the receipt with the name of his dish to get our local Mexican restaurant to duplicate. We will definitely make this a tradition each year when we come back!

Great place for Mexican food! Love the veggie options! Everyone at our table loved the food! It’s hard to find good Mexican in the south, but this place knows what real Mexican food tastes like. I’m from California, so I have higher expectations when it comes to good authentic Mexican food, and this place hit the spot! We ordered the queso dip and guacamole for appetizer and both tasted great! The guacamole had a nice lime flavor to it with fresh bright red tomatoes. Chips and salsa were good. Came out with warm tortilla chips and the salsa comes in a bottle that you pour on your own. Love that they have a vegetarian section with 4 options on the menu. I got the 1 enchilada plate with rice and tostada. The enchilada filling of grilled onions and bell peppers and the sauce were all delicious! The rice was authentic Mexican rice — yum! Others at the table got the 3 enchilada veggie plate and they really liked it. Their sauce was different from the 1 enchilada plate. I personally liked mine better. But they loved theirs too. Even though our own server was always in a rush and distracted with something else, the food was great! Hope we get a better server next time around!

We thoroughly enjoyed our food here. Every last bit of it. The salsa is awesome, including the hot salsa that you have to ask for to get. The margarita was delicious as well. The only downside is the dated décor. They could use a renovation.

I was pleasantly surprised by Pepito’s. Salsa is always the first test for me and this salsa passed with flying colors. Very good. They have all the normal Mexican restaurant fare, but also have a taqueria section of the menu that has lots of great options — tacos, tortas, etc. with all the traditional meat options(pastor, carnitas, lengua, asada, and even birria). I got the ceviche tostada and the pastor taco. The ceviche was excellent; the pastor was okay but a little lacking in the flavor department. My husband got the chilaquiles and absolutely loved it. Beware though — he said it was one of the hottest dishes he’s ever eaten(which is why I didn’t try a bite!). The atmosphere is a little chainy but still fine. A great option if you don’t want to blow a bunch of money at an overpriced, touristy beach restaurant while in Destin.

On my last day in Destin my friend and I wanted Mexican food. We headed down the street to see what we could find. We stumbled upon Pepito’s. And I do mean stumbled because it is tucked in a shopping center off the main road. The packed parking lot was a good sign. We were promptly seated. We did a happy dance when we saw the white queso dip in the menu and ordered that with our drinks. The salsa was yummy along with the warm tortilla chips. I let our friendly waitress Shannon know it was our first time and she gave us ample time to look over the menu. It was a hard decision– everything sounded good. My friend chose the burro with ground beef and I chose the smothered burrito with grilled chicken. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I was full but not gross miserable full. We will definitely return the next time we vacation down here!

Dining here was an interesting experience. First, let me say that this was the first Mexican restaurant that I have ever been to that is entirely run by eastern europeans. The service is INSANELY slow – from the time we were seated to the time we were served was 12 minutes. It was 6pm on a Monday and the place was dead. The food itself is mediocre at BEST. At worst it’s a poor attempt at somewhat-good mexican food cooked by an unsupervised tween-ager. There’s also something illegal/fishy going on here. Table full of adults, clearly in their 30s, and when one person didn’t have their drivers’ license but had other proof of age the waitress said«Well, that’s too bad for you.» Ok, interesting. She sent the manager over who said«I could go to prison for serving you a drink. I don’t want to go to prison for serving you.» Funny, telling this to a table of all attorneys makes her argument non-compelling. Her paranoia of being arrested definitely makes one think that there is something extremely suspicious going on here. All in all, mediocreish food, slow service, not pleased.

The experience at this restaurant was absolutely horrible. Food was mediocre at best and the service was HORRIBLE. Not sure why the ratings for this place are so high. Please BEWARNED

Very weak for Mexican door. U get it that it’s not authentic, and I really don’t even like authentic Mexican. I like Tex-Mex. I’ve been having a taste for fajitas, I ordered the chicken, shrimp & steak fajitas, guess what, I still have a taste for fajitas because this was definitely not it. We also ordered the corn meal things with cheese and meat inside, that tasted like nothing. We should have gone to Taco Bell…

After frolicking in the ocean we wanted some Mexican food and set out. I mean it’s actually tex men but you get the drift. Anyhow: We found this spot courtesy of Unilocal and found it. After calling to find it *Sitting behind a empty building* we were seated and served by our waiter. Food was not bad and fresh but the waiter?! He was somewhat preoccupied with a larger group and before long a brother had to get his attention. Just Ok!

First of all, the lunch specials at this place are very cheap and come with a dinner-sized portion of food. They were all under ten dollars and featured many of the classic dinner options. Each lunch special also came with a full serving of rice, beans, and chips & salsa. It was more than enough food for lunch, and more than enough food for the price paid. The restaurant itself was like any traditional strip mall restaurant. It was a little hard to find because it was behind the first row of businesses off of the main highway in Destin. The staff were decent and were attentive enough. They did try to get my group to order as fast as possible. As for the food, it was average at best. I had the chimichanga and it wasn’t hot when it came out. The rice was good and the beans were decent. It was nothing to write home about. Overall, the food was good enough for the area and for a quick lunch with friends. I wouldn’t want to spend any more than the lunch special prices though.

It was ok, but not great. Decent service. The food was ok, but defintely not close to «wow.» The margaritas were weak and 98% margarita mix. The salsa was fresh but very bland(missing garlic and salt). The interior is somewhat dated and dark with old carpets and no lively music. This was not the fresh and inviting Mexican experience that I was hoping for. I guess I am very spoiled in Atlanta. If this is a top spot in Destin, then the Mexican food scene in the area must really suck.

Great place for the Destin area. It’s by no means authentic, but it was good, reasonably priced, & hot the spot!
