Jekyll – A Private Chef, LLC

Chef Jekyll cooked an amazing dinner for four of us last night. We can’t say enough about the flavor and perfection of the food itself. Our kitchen is designed so we could sit and watch much of the prep and presentation of the food. That in itself added a wonderful touch. Finally Chef Jekyll himself made the dinner special. His genuine passion and attention to detail for what he brings to your table is flawless.
We will be doing this again soon. Can’t say enough good about the whole experience.

Outstanding, delicious, relaxing, worth every dime! Chef Jekyll and his team provided my family and friends with a meal that was the highlight of our dining experiences while in Destin. We had a group of 15 in our rented beach house – from kids to seniors and 3 of us are gluten free. He accommodated all of our requests. He brought all of the food, prepared everything, brought most of the cooking tools, served us through every course and left the house spotless. He was entertaining and easy to be around. It was a pleasure from beginning to end. I simply can’t pick a favorite course. From the Cevichetinis to the WFHR Tiramisu our taste buds were dazzled. Chef will be our first call on our next trip to the Destin area. I would do it again in a heartbeat. BTW we all went out to a restaurant later in the week – 2 hour wait for a table for 15, and 2 hours to complete the meal. It was exhausting for everyone. Stay home call Chef Jekyll and chill…

What an amazing experience it was having Chef Jekyll and his wife Rhonda prepare dinner for us! The oyster appetizers were phenomenal, the fresh caught grouper was seasoned and cooked to perfection and there are no words that justly describe the tiramisu!!! To complete the experience was the Chefs’ charismatic personality. We cannot wait to enjoy future engagements with Chef Jekyll and Rhonda.

A great group of friends were in Destin celebrating one’s big 5 – 0! Being the foodie that she is, I knew that this would be one surprise that she would love. Chef and I spoke on the phone and through several emails to get the menu just right. Chef Jekyll did not disappoint. The food was expertly prepared and just delicious. The cooking demonstration was so great. Lots of great info to take home with us. We had the Roasted Red Peppers and Olives, Ravioli w Mushroom Pesto Sauce and Blue Cheese Stuffed Dates with Bacon as apps. Oh my! How delish! Next came the Compass Salad. Beautiful Presentation. And we still had two courses to go. Our main course was the Herb Crusted Tenderloin with Wild Mushroom Stuffing. Cooked perfectly. Yum! And the grand finale was Chef’s presentation of his «WFHR» Tiramisu! I’ve run out of adjectives! I would definitely recommend Chef Jekyll for your next special event.

Magical! The best word to describe the dinner Chef Jekyll provided for our family while visiting the Pensacola area. From booking the dinner to final clean-​up after it was complete, every detail was attended to with professionalism and class. Can’t wait to visit the area again and have him work his magic for us!

I had Chef Jekyll prepare a romantic dinner for two overlooking the ocean and I was not disappointed. First, the salad was fresh and delicious with the most amazing presentation I have ever seen. It had very unique flavorings including vinegar and sugar soaked cucumbers layered with strawberries and kiwi along with yellow peppers. The main course of shrimp and grits was awesome. Fresh shrimp is a given around here but the shrimp themselves were flavorful and cooked just right without being raw or rubbery. The sauce overlying the entire dish was rich and delicious without being overwhelmed by butter, which can occur in southern styles of shrimp and grits. Finally, the ice cream dessert with fresh fruit had a complex and flavorful reduction sauce which was truly unique. He was very friendly and professional and I will not hesitate to hire him again.

How do you keep over a dozen people happy each night for dinner, on your family beach getaway?! Answer: Hire Chef Jekyll, Rhonda, and Anne to cook your meals. Wow wow! Chef Jekyll rocks! My wife and I recently celebrated our 17^th wedding anniversary. I wanted to do something special, so I booked Chef Jekyll for the evening. We had the Shrimp Ceviche appetizer, and it left me hungry for more. Next was the Shrimp & Grits. Very tasty. And I’m not normally a grits eater. Then came the Grouper Piccata. Phenomenal! We also had the asparagus as a side and the salad with champagne vinaigrette. Finally, the tiramisu dessert to top it off. Everything was absolutely delicious. Chef Jekyll also brought a white table cloth with pink and red rose petals and champagne to highlight the occasion. It was everything I had hoped for. He and his wife Rhonda know how to do things right. And they will wash your dishes and leave your kitchen spotless at the end of the night. You can’t go wrong!

Chef Jekyll came to our home for a visit, looked in our refrigerator, and in 30 minutes he made us a fabulous brunch! Blackened sea scallops with grilled bell pepper and onion, caprese salad, melon and mimosas! There’s nothing like dining with good friends on our porch overlooking the Chesapeake Bay!
