Awesome awesome awesome!!! Everything about this establishment was great! The customer service was great the food was great all that. I will say they do need a better menu when it comes to simplicity just because sometimes we just want regular fish and chips or something. But other than that, I have no complaints at all. DanieLLe was our server and she was the best in the buisness. The«I can’t remember Destin» and the southern porch punch… the sake all that was awesome. The head manager was there and introduced himself. Put it this way. I spent 4 days in Destin, and 2 of those back to back… were spent at jackacudas.

If you are from Louisiana… Please don’t come here! I had to send the clam chowder and the Captains Margarita drink back! And the fish tacos… No!!!

We ate here twice on our honeymoon. Had sushi both times and loved it both times. Also had the shrimp rangoon and seaweed salad. The first night we had the sweetest waitress named Chandra. The last night we had a nice guy named Ray. I can only speak about the sushi but would highly recommend it!

It is in a very touristy location, so was nervous at first, but it was pretty great! The food is a bit pricey, but very good! There are many different and diverse options!

Southwestern Fries truly rocked. My drink didn’t turn out so great but staff relaced it without blinking an eye. Will definitely go back.

We love Jackacudas. The menu is large and we’ve yet to have anything that disappointed. The sushi is so tasty, the appetizers are all great, and the entrees are yummy. We got a couple of roles and the chef’s special last time and that special was ridiculous. The fish in the dish was cooked perfectly and everything from the seasoning to the risotto went together so nicely. It’s casual, good service, food’s great… can’t go wrong.

Some specialty sushi rolls were smaller than others. The burgers were ok. Great servers

First things first– the food was fantastic. We had the deviled eggs for an appetizer(there are only two eggs, four halves), clam chowder, and a couple sushi rolls. Kiddo had the popcorn shrimp. Flavor of everything was great! Now, my they lost two stars– the timing of our food was horrible. We got our appetizer in a timely manner, but then they brought the soup and kid’s shrimp and no sushi. So my husband was done eating his soup before I ever got my food. The kid’s shrimp was way too hot so she had to sit there and wait for it to cool off. Also the kid’s menu said popcorn shrimp but these were large shrimp and had to be cut.(My child is only two) When my sushi came, I had no chop sticks, no soy sauce, just a plate of sushi. Our waitress was way too busy and seemed to forget about us just about every time we needed something. Our child had a diaper emergency at the end of the meal and I had no extra clothes for her so I ran to change her and brought her back in nothing but a diaper and was ready to go and we sat and waited and waited for the waitress to come back and run our card. To sum it up– excellent food, crappy service. A little more attention to detail and timing would have made this a 5-star place for us. And maybe bring all the necessary things(chop sticks, soy sauce, extra napkins especially when there is a child, etc) ahead of time.

We went out for our anniversary tonight. We were greeted warmly and seated outside at a table with an umbrella. The chairs are rather uncomfortable and if you are short your legs will dangle. We waited a while for a server, but when we did come our drinks were brought out promptly. My mojito was a little stronger than a like, but drinkable. Our appetizers of half-order of lemon garlic oysters and crab bruschetta arrived quickly and were the highlight of the meal. My husband ordered fish tacos for his entrée and enjoyed them. I ordered the fish sandwich grilled and it was awful. It was very chewy and overcooked. I gave it 2 stars for the atmosphere and appetizers, and my husband’s tacos. Won’t be returning.

Hands down on my top list of favorite places to eat. Totally glad we got a sushi craving and went stop by. We ended up eating outside at the bar after being invited for a drink by the two bartenders. They gave us some great food and drink suggestions, to which were very pleasing. The bartenders were fun and talkative which made the time more enjoyable! We had Vegas bombs, and the lemonade drinks. For appetizers we had the curry mussels, and shrimp ragoons. DELICIOUS, and none went to waste. Followed by a roll that I can’t remember the name of and the gulf coast oysters. Both equally delicious. The menu was so great that choosing was difficult. Can’t wait to come back to try more!

3rd time to Jackacudas. The NOLA roll and fried avacado were awesome! Service was the best we have had in Destin this trip.

The only reason this place gets 3 stars is the view. First we ordered the fried avocado which was tasty, but highly over priced for the amount of food you get and honestly it really didn’t seem like much effort was put into the whole thing. Next we tried to order the lobster bisque, but we were told no it’s clam chowder. We said okay we will try that and 15 minutes later we had to remind the waiter we had ordered it. Mind you we were there on a Tuesday and there were only three other tables with people at them around us. The staff was not busy by any means. For our main meal we both ordered the fried fish and shrimp having read on the menu it was gulf shrimp and a mixture of grouper and snapper. What arrived at our table was popcorn shrimp and mystery fish. I think I tasted at least one piece of grouper in there, but that was all. I am not sure what the rest of it was. The manager was helpful and did discount our meals, but some notice from either the server or the manager would have been appreciated that our meal was not as it was going to be expected. The cocktail sauce was extremely chunky and almost like a relish instead of a sauce. The fires served with the meal were less than stellar also. I guess you can say I will not be returning. I am a local and I know what fresh fish tastes like and I also know there are other places in town where I can spend less money and get better service with a much nicer view. To sum it up I would not choose this place over any of the other delightful local places.

I’m going to keep this simple and straight to the point. The food was great, service was awesome, the restaurant is clean, but it is a little pricey for the amount of food you get. However, you are paying for the quality. You could go to a sushi buffet and eat all you want without the great quality instead but I’d say this was pretty dang worth it especially if you’re from out of town!

I will give this place a 4 star for the friendliness of the staff! We came too late for service, but they were not rude about it. I like their interior. I will have to update my review about their food the next time I’m in the area

A big place — and plenty of harbor side outdoor seating, right one the water! I requested a spot in the sunshine outside, and was promptly taken to just such a spot by a pleasant hostess. Walking past the rather large Sushi and drinking bars, I was met by a knowledgeable server who knew just what I wanted — a Caribbean drink with rum in it. YUM. After that, I hit the fish tacos,(as I always do almost everywhere I go.) The tacos were quite good, though I must say that I missed salsa or guacamole. The black bean salsa-esque substitute was decent, though not enough for the chips and not as good as true salsa. Should I go back, I’ll be sure to bring some, along with my super-hot ghost peppers to kick up the heat about 10 notches… Not bad Jack, not bad — maybe Sushi next time too…

Like people have said its a tourist trap. We got the fried avocado because people on Unilocal raved about them, but for 12.95? Seriously, I can get the one avocado at the store for under $ 2 and fry them myself and add the slaw. It was good but not amazing. I think it would been better priced at 7.95. The keys roll was good but 15.95. It’s the only roll with no rice in it. You get 6 pieces and they are tiny. Yeah it has some lobster in it butt still overpriced. I liked the shrimp and corn chowder soup. It had a lot of substance in it. The Carribean cooler drink is really good if you like rum and something similar to a piña colada. Our waitress was very friendly! We had seen many people talk about the bacon jalapeño grilled oysters so we got 6 of those. It was way more cheese and bacon than the oysters which were btw tiny. Most likely would never go back to this place again.

We had New Year’s Eve dinner here. The service was awesome and food great. The are a sister restaurant to another restaurant in that complex. Our server worked at both. Server was very knowledgeable about the food, ingredients, and cooking methods.

The food was decent but over priced. It is a tourist trap after all. Got some rolls to try out(the local and spicy tuna). The local was really really good but the spicy tuna was not spicy or even just decent. Also got the ahi poke. It came in the form of a dip and with avocado. It was ok, but nothing like real poke. Got some bread pudding for desert and it was really delicious. Our waitress was friendly and no issues with service, but the restaurant was completely empty so that’s expected. Huge negatives for cleanliness though. They left the doors open and there were tons of flies inside the restaurant and a few birds flying over head. Also, the bathroom smelled like piss and there was no hand soap or paper towels. Thankfully the handicap stall had both. Probably won’t be back again.

Starters for the table: seaweed salad and cucumber were perfect. I had the fried avocado and it was fantastic! It came with crab and even though it was fried and rich it was not greasy. I ordered the fish tacos with the gluten free option to switch the shells. I declided the chips and the waitress immediately asked what I could have/want and made some suggestions — PLUSONE is what I call that, great customer service +1. Our entire dining experience was like that. Incredibly friendly and attentive, but not obnoxious or annoying. We went at lunch in the off season, it wasn’t busy, so that might be different. The food, view and staff were all fabulous. THANKYOU!
