A very good place to take children and adults to go shopping for both wants and needs.

Don’t get me wrong I’ve always loved The Commons, it’s a great place to eat, shop, etc… love the new expansion as well, but I’m writing this review and giving only two stars based on an experience that really irritated me a while back. I was there at a restaurant/bar recently, and I ended up having way too much to drink, so of course I had to get a ride home with someone and leave my car there that night. When I came back to get my car the next day, I had a citation on my car about some bull crap about overnight parking… Blah blah. and I was within close time range of being towed off. Like really people!?! So what I left my car there overnight! I had to under the circumstances! Would they rather me try to drive intoxicated!?! It made me really mad. Thought it was completely ridiculous of them to do that. I’m not sure when that even started either, because I used to work there at Bass Pro Shops and there was a couple of occasions I left my car there a day or two because it was broke down once, and another time I went home with a guy I was dating at the time and left my car overnight then and never got cited for it like that. There are gonna be times when people have to leave their cars there overnight for certain reasons and I don’t see what the big deal is, or why they even care. I could understand if a car was parked there for a week or more and how that would be a concern to them, but c’mon people, don’t freak out over a night or even two! I would never attempt to drink and drive, so yes I’m gonna get a ride and leave my car in their parking lot if I have to… so they can take their little white ticket and shove it!

Destin Commons has definitely expanded greatly in the past 2 years — lots of parking, shopping and restaurants. Love the feel and look — just wish there were a few more reasonably priced stores.

My husband had a-school training in pensacola and I was visiting him for the weekend. With Pensacola being a small town we wanted to venture out further and see what else north florida had to offer. This place was about an hour away so we didn’t mind the drive. Destin is such a cute little place especially this mall! I’m from San Diego so this mall defintely reminded me of home. It’s an outdoor mall with several affordable stores! They even have an amazing«underwater» bowling alley! And did I mention they have a world of beer?!? Now your husband can enjoy beers from all over the world while you shop! It’s a win win situation!

Really nice open air mall with tons of stores. Beautifully kept clean and tidy. A large cinema, restaurants and even train for the kids to ride on! While most malls at night I do not like, this mall is nicely lit up and feels very safe.

Beautiful area with tons of great little boutiques & chain stores. Arrived an hour before closing so we only had time for a few stores but selections were great & we plan to go back for a shopping day before we leave! There’s also a movie theater, a bass pro shop and/or sports bar for the men, Starbucks for some added caffeine to make it to all the many, many cute shops! A must see!

By the most part this was your standard American lifestyle center. However, the way it is designed gives a good mix of restaurants with shops. There is also a very nice area for kids with fountains they can run and play in when it is hot. It was definitely more fun here then a regular trip to a mall.

This is one of my go to spots when we’re in Destin for a vacation! Such a good variety of stores to shop from at a great location. We have all the stores we like to shop at in the same outlet mall! This shop didn’t used to be here when we first came to Destin, but it’s a great addition to the area. There’s a nice movie theater to choose from, Kilwin’s ice cream shop, a Starbucks I stop at every morning when I’m in town, etc. It’s a very nice area to take a stroll through! There are lots of unique boutiques! A must visit when in town! It’s a very quiet and great area for a date. Don’t get me wrong, it’s extremely busy at times but the crowd is very quiet & pleasant!

I love this area!!! Waaayyy better than some outdoor malls in Atlanta, GA. This beats them out of the water.(literally!!!). Nice stores, very nice. There are stores that you will see in malls that are usually not in outdoor malls, like Build a Bear, hollister, journeys, H & M, Express, Victoria Secret, etc. They also have a water fountain for kids to play in which is perfect for the weather, and a train for kids. Destin Commons also includes an AMC theater if your in the mood to watch movies whilst on vacation. Recommendation to go here at night because it is very pretty with the lights hanged around.

This walking trip mall is awesome! I’ve never just walked into a store, made my biggest shopping spree(H&M) and then walk a few meters to drink an original milkshake malt and took some sweet photos by the lit-up trees, hanging lights, and amazingly kept flowers and water fountain. Incredible place to walk around and have a great time! A++

I love Destin. In the heart of Destin is the Commons. It’s located between Hwy 98&293. Every time I’ve gone here, the mall expands and adds more stores. I usually come at night so cause I like the night life and the stores open pass 9 pm. The guys enjoy the huge Bass Pro Shop while the girls go to Sephora, H&M, or just walk around chilling. I get an Atlantic Station feel when I’m there mix with Mall of Georgia.

Just your average outdoor mall. Packed and parking was hard to find. A lot of people there on Friday after 5. Try and go during the week at an off time. Always good bargains to find.

As Cordova Mall goes downhill in Pensacola, Destin Commons has became my new shopping spot in the Panhandle. Destin Commons is an outdoor strip mall that offers everything from shopping to dining to movies. Some of my favorite stores in the strip include Loft, Victoria’s Secret, White House Black Market, Express, Aldo and Express. I usually grab a bite to eat at Panera Bread since they have free wi-fi so I can catch up on my emails. The strip mall never feels crowded since everything is outdoors and the area is open to pedestrians to stroll through leisurely. While this strip mall is smaller than most indoor malls the shopping selection is excellent.

I really love this place! I’m new to the area and am in awe of the collection of great stores here. The only thing I don’t like is that they allow vehicles to drive through the area. Nothing more annoying than trying to relax and enjoy your shopping experience and then some asshole honks his horn right next to the stores scaring the shit out of you and possibly having you spill your beverage(I may or may not suffer from PTSD, your experience may differ) The have a fountain area in the center in front of the AMC where kiddies can run through the water and splash while the parents look on. Theres a train and drives around toting kids and bored parents. They have a few places to stop and eat while you shop(Panera! Coldstone!) and theres a Sephora, a tiny tiny Sephora but a Sephora none the less. Theyre apparently doing an addition, so parking while is plenty is a little confusing due to the construction.

Destin Commons is a very nice outdoor shopping mall. But I’m not going to review it because of the stores(which come and go, as all stores must), but because of what the Commons does year-round. It gives the community a place to show it’s stuff. There are BBQ cook-offs, beer festivals and all kinds of expos happening here all the time. It’s a popular location for people with children to spend the day and is always clean and hospitable. I usually come here to go to the movie theater, but occasionally find myself there with a minor shopping agenda, albeit rare. They’re currently expanding and I hear they’re adding restaurants(which they desperately need), so it’s nice to know that business will not get stagnant here.
