The service in this restaurant is the worst. I stay at a lot of HGI because at the end of the day on a business trip you want to eat and crash. Don’t waste your time here.

Breakfast has good food but buffet only. Service is painful. Tough to get a glass of water. Good hotel, bad restaurant:

It’s exactly what you would expect from a hotel lobby. The fish tacos tasted like runny, lemon flavored cabbage, but the staff was very nice and attentive.

I only had their breakfast(no room service, so can’t comment there), but it was REALLY good. They have a buffet style as you see most places, but you can ALSO get cooked to order eggs, omelettes, hash browns and waffles. The fresh fruit was fresh, and this was a really fantastic way to start the day. The staff was very friendly, and this hotel overall is really terrific.

The Hilton Garden Inn — Chicago O’Hare Airport features The Great American Grill which provides a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner selections. My husband and I ate breakfast here every morning since we are honors members and it was free. They offer a great breakfast buffet with so many options! We also ate dinner here twice. Both times I had the Asian Chicken Salad(Shredded Lettuce, Chicken and Crispy Noodles Tossed with Julienne Carrots, Green Onions and Cashews. Served with Sesame Dressing) and one time my husband had a personal pizza and the other time he had a spicy pasta dish. The prices are very reasonable for a hotel restaurant and their complimentary hot herb bread is to die for!
