Taqueria Chelos

Do I like the food… meh.
It’s basically your standard lunch time taqueria type stuffs. Nothing really stands out on their new menu. So that being said don’t expect to be blown away.
They serve actual sugar cane coca-​cola from Mexico and my teeth are still tingling as a result… AWESOME! I can remember drinking entire two liters of that shit in a matter of minuets when I was a kid. Looking back it makes sense now why I was so hyper and weird. It also makes sense why most of my friends were spastic geeks and outcasts. Man, this review is getting me down. I guess I have Coca-​cola to thank for making me an untouchable-​to-​the-​opisite-​sex-​freaky-​gangly-​nerd for most of my young adulthood.
Besides all that, Chelo’s is QUIET. There’s usually nobody there but Morry Povich. They sell your typical Mexican beer and they also carry Jagermiester.
OOO! OOO! I almost forgot to tell you that they do Karoke on Friday nights and I saw a guy pee in his pants passed out sleeping on a table once. (Actually that was the only time I was ever there for karoke and I walked over there already drunk from going out for drinks after work with some of my employees and I had to cab it home.)

Really good little taco place, I cut back 2 stars cause the steak was a little fatty but still really good! They bring out chips before which is nice… Plus they are very friendly!

I guess an order two chicken tacos and a burrito with no tomato ended up with four beef tacos and a veggie burrito.
Came in here during the lunch rush and got seated in this EMPTY place. Service was quick… guess it’s quick if they get your order wrong. I complained and got my order right, though no knock down on price. My lime jarritos was quite cold and very refreshing.
Word of warning: if you order a beer in the evening, it may be skunky. They place their beers in a metal dish and ice the mutha outta it, but there’s no a/​c and on hot days, it’s not a good combo. When I was in there, there was a puddle of ice water with no ice on it and condensation on the beer.
Would I come back? Yea, but I’m a sucker for free chips and cheap prices.
