Try it out. Best steak tacos mexican style and home made lychee and mango ice cream can’t ask for more! Halal heaven.

Best Halal Mexican food I have had in the Chicago-land area. Burritos are amazing and so are the tacos. Try the chips and salsa. The salsa is the best I have had.

Went here for lunch with the SO. He had a burrito(gyro) and i had 2 tacos(one Mexican BBQ beef and one gyro). The burrito was good, very filling. But the meat to lettuce/rice ratio is skewed — there’s a paltry amount of meat. It’s delicious so i wish they would add more. Their tacos on the other hand are AMAZING. Authentic warm corn tortillas with slow-cooked Mexican BBQ style beef… the beef was shredded and juicy, perfectly cooked and spiced. It was fantastic! A much better experience than last time. I think the menu is hit or miss. Stick to the basics/authentic Mexican. They do it well. Love that they serve complimentary chips and salsa as well. The salsa was so good on the tacos.

I liked this place it was pretty good. We just drove down to Chicago for the day to pick up someone from the airport and needed some where that was halal to eat. We got some tacos and they were pretty good. I liked the ground beef more than the chicken. It was fun to find a Mexican halal place. I would come back. The only thing I didn’t like was there no was no fountain machine. Only soda cans.

Been here a couple times already. Most of the things on the menu are pretty good. All the food is halal to my knowledge including the tongue tacos, which I suggest you try. The setup inside is simple but since its a small joint, I’d rather have it that way because that food is authentic. Definitely recommend.

Its a small hole in the wall place. With great food, authentic mexican not americanized tacos. Their service is relatively quick, you can expect consistent flavor and thats always a plus. The rice and beans are good but come on everyone goes there for their tacos! Nice place :)

Could this be the best chicken burrito of my life? I don’t know, but they don’t get much better than this. The salsas were terrific, the marinated chicken was amazing, and the only question I have is why there weren’t any other customers at lunch time? This place is a keeper!

The first time I came here was because my big bro wanted Mexican food and it was zabiha halal. This was probably in September or so. Upon walking in, I didn’t think much of it aside from the fact that it’s a very simple dining place. So we ordered our food and sat down. While we were waiting, we were brought an order of complimentary salsa and chips. I really enjoyed that because the salsa was freshly made and it makes the wait time go by faster. My chicken tostada and my bro’s steak burrito was ready and served in about ten minutes. It was time. I took one bite into the chicken tostada and boom. It was one of the best marinades that I’ve ever eaten. I believe it’s a tomato marinade they use for their chicken — so juicy, savory, and delicious! I took a bite of my bro’s steak burrito and that steak seasoning was amazing as well. In addition to the meats, I am very appreciative of their flour tortillas. It’s not super thick where you get that overdose of tortilla flavor but still durable enough to keep your meal clean(sort of lol). The service is good as well! The same lady always serves us. She’s very attentive to our needs and checks up on us several times. I’ve been here about five times after that first time in September. The service and food continues to be outstanding. I am a big fan and I highly recommend it to everyone!

I’m in Park Ridge twice a week and I’ve been coming here once a week or so for a few months now. Both kinds of chicken burritos are delicious, and I’ll usually get one of those. The marinated chicken is my favorite. I usually take at least a few bites without any sauce because it’s so flavorful. I also tried the grande quesadilla because it was cheaper. It was great, but too small for me to have as a meal.

I wanted something new and found it. The staff were very hospitable and made me feel comfortable. The food was very well they have pizza, fried chicken and wings now. As well as traditional mexican food. Some of the drinks were from mexico they didnt have high fructose corn syrup in them just pure cane sugar. They also had a small place for prayer in tbe back(fits about 2 people) at a time.

A halal Mexican place was long overdue in Chicago. Ate here a bunch of times when staying at a hotel in the area. Food ranges from above average to sub par depending on the item. Tacos are pretty good but the chicken fajitas were disappointing. Prices are reasonable and the lady at the counter is friendly.

Place is halal. Owner is always at the front and staff has not changed for many years. The tacos are Good and Tortas as good as well. This is a must eat for the halal era because it’s the only true Mexican spot; if you are bored of bean burritos at Taco Bell give this place a shot. I would recommend this place for the halal eater.

Keep your expectations low and your fingers crossed! Halal rating– 8 Non-halal rating– 5 Considering the lack of zabiha halal Mexican restaurants, Los Sombreros(a hole in the wall restaurant) is a front runner by default. The steak is pretty tender and they offer authentic Mexican options. My Dad loves the steak burritos and I like the steak tacos. The salsa is pretty generic. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, but it’s nice to have a halal option. For the zabiha only eaters it’s definitely worth a shot!

This place is the amazing combination of Halal and authentic Mexican. My wife is Mexican and we both love this place. I think majority of the people are not used to eating authentic Mexican they like the American style Mexican food and judge it based on that. I agree with the other reviewer that this place is a bore. The food here is good and I enjoy every last morsel every time. I gave 2 of my thumps and 2 of toes up as well.

this is the most boring, least lively place on earth. I get an overwhelming sensation of sadness every time I walk into this place. the only reason I have to go in this place is because the meat is halal and the foods kinda authentic. I rather go to the Mexican spot on Milwaukee and church st. better bang for your buck.

This place is so good. I have had amazing Mexican food in California but ever since I moved to Chicago I can’t find one Mexican place I like that reminds me of the California style Mexican. This place is amazing the steak burrito with fries inside is so good it is exactly like a California burrito. Go try it !!

Heard people raving about this place. Only running because it’s halal. Worst food I’ve ever had(no exaggeration). Ate my napkin instead.
