I would not give this hotel a 5 star. Their service was excellent the night person helped us when his computer was down and he was really patient with us. The suites are really nice. The staff is really polite. They have a really comfortable hot tub or jacuzzi which no other hotel or motel offers. It is their breakfasts that are lacking in variety and freshness. Also, the hotel has a flyer for room service and should get rid of them because their is none.

We used this hotel for Park, Sleep, Fly. Check in was quick, and the shuttle to the airport was easily arranged and waiting for us — on time — in the morning. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, when we returned to the airport after our trip and called for the shuttle to come get us, we were told that, «It will be a while» because it was on another trip, and that we would have to go to the shuttle pickup building for pickup. We were at O’Hare, and that building is way, way, waaaay far away from the terminals, especially when you have luggage and just got off your flight and you’re tired! We ended up taking a cab back to the hotel to pick up our car instead of waiting for the shuttle. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

We would not recommend this hotel!!! At 3:00 a.m. our hotel room deadbolt was unlocked(with a key card by an uninvited stranger) and the only reason that person was not standing in our room in the middle of the night was because of the safety latch on the top of the door. We also heard two more deadbolts unlocked after ours. Scary!!! Zero stars!!! It didn’t let us post without having at least one star although for safety the Best Western in Des Plaines deserves a zero stars!!! We were also over charged so be aware of what you were quoted as you may not be charged correctly if you don’t pay close enough attention!

Wow! Who knew a hotel stay could be so stressful… The carpets are sprayed with this horrible fake apple cover up spray…(I had a head ache from the smell about 10 minutes of entering. And one night the front desk was knocking on our door(about 10:30 at night!) to tell us it smelled like smoke and«we’re we smoking?» I guess this wouldn’t bother me so much if I weren’t staying there for my Dads funeral– who died of lung cancer. WEDONOTSMOKE!!! And if it weren’t so late… My husband invited, Neil, the front desk guy who was knocking on our door if he would like to come in to see we were indeed NOT smoking. He did– told us we were fine– sorry for bothering us. Next thing!!! 3 cops pounding on the doors across the hall. What a fucking nightmare! So we checked out– I was SO happy to get out of there! About a week later I was over drawn in my bank account. After all of that, the hotel had charged me $ 255.00 for smoking! My husband went back and forth on the phone with the Manager who said«oooo sorry sorry! Ill reverse the charge.» It’s been a week. Still haven’t seen the money. Is this legal? I believe this best western is trying to charge people after they have left hoping they don’t notice! So now I had an awful hotel stay while dealing with my dads death, a $ 250 extra charge, OH and my bank charges me $ 40 for over draft. Thanks smelly, dirty best western… For reminding me that things can always get worse. Also I just have to add that the pillows were the worst pillows I have ever experienced. The breakfast was terrifying, and it smells EVERYWHERE!

Disappointing service. Horrible pillows. Breakfast was aerosol waffle mix, cereal, yogurt, muffins, fruit, coffee, juice. Dirty Carpets and shaky grumbling elevator. Would not recommend.
