The Cathedral Church of St.Paul

No matter where you stand on religion, you can’t deny that churches and places of worship got it going on when it comes to architecture and history. Dozens of walks past the historically registered ivy-​covered building that is the Cathedral Church of St. Paul had me eager to step inside. Much to my dismay, every time I would try the door it was locked.
Finally, one very, very snowy Sunday morning, my partner-​in-​crime and I decided to check it out and attend a service. Not being Episcopalian I had no idea what to expect. (a quick Wiki search gave me a mini idea). Interestingly enough, it was so snowy out that most other churches had cancelled service that day — we were one of three couples in attendance and ended up sitting with the choir in the front of the church.
Many thanks to the church leaders for making us feel very, very welcome. In the end, I decided my focus should be on our common ground rather than the parts of the service/​words that I was not so keen on. As for the architecture, I would have to say the exterior of the building is more lovely than the interior. FYI, I’m a sucker for anything covered in ivy.
