Love my scoots & been to every location in DSM. Missed scoots from my hometown in Nebraska and I have to say this location is hands down my favorite, great atmosphere. :) :)

Fun little place with good coffee. I liked the finishing touch of the smiley sticker on the cup!

This has become my quick go to spot downtown. Living just a few blocks away it is quick solution to needing coffee. All the typical drinks with no deal curveballs but with the addition of some pretty delicious smoothies. The service is great and having the staff remember me after only a few visits makes it really easy. So if you’re in the area or downtown at the farmers market it’s a good solution to the long dreadful lines of the java joes stands and the drinks are a little bit better.

Scooter’s appropriately fills in the space left behind by Starbucks. A college campus is supposed to have study spaces and coffee shops for students. I had a large coffee of the day and asked about refills; $ 0.75 seems a little high versus other places. It’s not a mom and pop type shop, it definitely has the chain vibe to it with printed signs for promos and logo stamped stuff for purchase. I went around 9 am on a Sunday and there was only one other person there. Parking was easy, right in front. The internet wasn’t working when for me when I used the credentials that were posted on signs around the counter. Hopefully I don’t get anyone in trouble saying this but I was given the management’s login info to get online and get to work. As other people filtered in and filled up tables they didn’t seem to have any issues(or already knew the secret?)… Let’s see… clean café area, there are some tables outside but the cement handicap ramp above makes it kind of an awkward space. The male barista was more awake than the girl one(I don’t blame her, it was very slow.)

Solid coffee with friendly staff to back it up. If your expecting a frozen yogurt stand this isn’t it. What they do have is solid tasty coffee backed up by decent baked goods. I have been here several times and have not been disappointed.

SHUCKS! I thought they were opening a scooter shop and scooters were back in style. It’s actually just a coffee shop. You’re lucky i’m a fan of a piping hot good ‘ol cup o joe! Scooter’s is in place of the previously opened Starbucks. Honestly, when Starbucks was there, I only went once. They brew Starbucks on campus already, plus, I’m not too much of a fan of the coffee I’ve had at Starbucks. I was looking forward to this change. The service is not too shabby, the staff is friendly, and the coffee is not bad. Better than Starbucks at least. Another thing I appreciate is that they brew fresh coffee every 4 hours. I got the chance to chat with the manager and the owner for a bit. Apparently, their fruit smoothies are made of real fruit & creamer… probably dairy :( Although they are just starting up, I’ve noticed a few improvements that could be made. First of all, the menu isn’t complete. They offer a lot of different types of neat teas, but that’s not even on the menu(I would recommend mango something tea btw!). Next, all their pastries don’t have names or prices. I would appreciate some allergy information which I believe is extremely important. Another comment I would make is, although this is my problem with all the coffee shops in DSM i’ve been to, they don’t offer almond milk for those who are lactose intolerant and don’t drink soy. Unfortunately, I can’t comment on their other drinks because I only got the chance to try their black coffee and 1 type of tea. The prices of their drinks are quite comparable to other coffee shops. I’m looking forward to the growth of this coffee shop and writing a more updated review on that.
