OH Quik Trip you know how I love you! You are my favorite gas station in all the land! This one is a great last stop before flying out of the airport, or heck your first stop once you land to fill up on the things you need. Like gas, coffee, brews, snacks, heck they even have made to order food here now!
The staff is nice and always greets you when you enter and says thanks for coming in before you leave!

As far as customer service, this QuikTrip is one of my favorites. The guy at the counter with the New Zealand accent is super friendly and easy to chat with. As soon as you walk in, he always greets you with a smile (which all QT’s do, but I noticed he’s just as chummy with other regular customers!). The kids at the QT Kitchen counter are really nice, as well.
This location definitely gets a lot of traffic, and customers come from all different demographics.
So, in regard to fueling up, grabbing some snacks, and checking paired with friendly chatter — pretty good in my book!
Also, if you’re craving a McFlurry from mcDonalds — come here instead. You get a larger serving for less price! Score!
Midwest gas stations are the absolute best!!!

This Quik Trip is where I end up buying gas for rental car return to DSM or to fill up my Parent’s car as they take me to the airport. It’s quick, convenient, and with clean restrooms.

This QT worked out great for me as I returned my rental car to the Des Moines airport. Easy in, wide pump area and easy out. The pump worked well and the receipt printer worked. Always a good thing.

QT and Caseys are my go to gas stations and convenient stores in the state of Iowa. The QTs I’ve been to in the state have all been clean, safe, and easy. They have hot food ready or ready to microwave. Their drink prices are very good. This location is no different than the other ones I’ve been to and I’ve been to many in town. Their staff are all friendly at all locations, they have a good hiring or training process I guess

Quiktrip, you are awful. Well, maybe not every Quicktrip, but definitely this one. And maybe not the people working here, but pump #13, you are the worst damn pump in the entire state.
I curse you!

So upon rolling up here to gas up my rental, I put the nozzle into the gas tank, and after a short period of time, pump stops. I look down and it has only put in about a gallon. Mind you, I put a good 80+ miles on a Nissan Altima. It doesn’t get that good gas mileage! So, of course, I try again.
And gas proceeds to spew out. On me, on the ground, on the car, ON ME.
Mind you, I’m dressed in my business attire, ready to head home after a long week, and I just got a bunch of gasoline on my hands and shirt sleeve. I need to pass through TSA. And I smell like the Unabomber.
I rushed into the bathroom and proceeded to scrub, scrub, scrub for a good 10 minutes. Still smelled like gas. I spent about 40 minutes trying to get the smell out of my clothes and off of me. Luckily things worked out in the end, but I swear, I will never visit this Quiktrip again.
All because of that damn pump number 13.
