I had to wait for the hostess to be seated even though three servers walked past in the 3 – 4 minutes I stood at the hostess stand. The table was set that I was seated at but when you touched it you could tell it wasn’t clean. The service was slow I ordered an iced tea and by the time server brought it out I had the chance to review the entire menu and check in on Unilocal.The food came out quickly and was as ordered. The eggs were done correctly, the hash browns were browned but goey, not very appetizing.

Smells like stank feet in here.
Food was okay, but service can be better. He asked if I wanted ketchup for my fries and I said yes, but he didn’t show back up with it til I was more than half way done with my food.
We went on Monday and didn’t know that we get a free slice of pie with an entrée. We saw a sign on the table about a pie and drink special for $ 3.99. So, ordered a pie and he never asked what kind of drink we want… it was hard getting his attention. So, we asked the manager and he told us about the special and got us another slice of pie.
Seriously, as a waiter/​waitress was it that hard to tell us the promo you guys are running.
Definitely been to better Perkins.

After being on the road and having very disappointing meals, we stopped to have breakfast at Perkins and were very pleased! Our waitress was very attending and personable. The service was quick and concise but did not feel rushed. We both ordered the country fried chicken and biscuit breakfast with eggs and breakfast potatoes; both meals were cooked perfectly! The potatoes were very well seasoned and complimented the eggs. The chicken was crispy without being over cooked and were inside of fluffy biscuits with creamy gravy on top. Also, because we had stopped in on a Monday, we both got to take a free slice of pie with us! Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

I can never find anything that sounds good or looks remotely appetizing at Perkins. I did come here per request of a family member and tried the ½ sandwich (I got the tuna melt) and soup (tomato basil) for $ 6.99. It actually pretty good though the soup was lukewarm at best and the sandwich was falling all over the place. I understand it’s a melt so it’s going to be ooey and gooey… but this you could tell was just very poorly assembled.

We got into town late from a long road trip and this was pretty much the only thing open near our friends’ apartment. We were too tired to sit and eat, so we just ordered take out. The cashier was very friendly. He presented us with menus and took our orders promptly. It didn’t take long for our food to be ready, and we were on our way. I had some sort of turkey/​bacon melt (I don’t remember the exact name now), with french fries. The sandwich and fries were both fresh and hot. I have no complaints and would definitely go back when I am in the area again.

Our waitress was great for dealing with our large group on a Sunday afternoon. The food was all good.
But when I went to the cashier to pay for our meal, I gave her some cash and said we’d put the rest on my card. Not a difficult task for most cashiers. But she put the entire bill on my card, and didn’t know how to undo it. So she got someone to come help her, and he wasn’t sure about voiding the sale. After standing annoyed for several minutes, the 2nd cashier assured me my card wouldn’t be charged for more than my portion, and gave me 3 receipts to point out what he’d done to reverse the charge.
What he didn’t give me? was my CREDIT CARD. And I didn’t notice til I went to pay for gas halfway back to Chicago. I immediately called the # from the many receipts he’d given me, and spoke to a mgr. The mgr assured me she’d mail back my card and refund my meal.
Thankfully, a friend lives near Des Moines, and she picked up the card for me and brought it back to me on her next trip to IL. But the meal was never refunded as promised for the inconvenience.
