Day 5 and I’ve already had a braid slip and another one not too far behind it… Day 6 and there’s more slippage. I’ve never experienced so much slippage after getting my hair braided. I don’t think I’ll ever be coming back here… I called and let Mimi know about the slippage and asked if she can fix it, and I was told to call in Thursday morning and she’ll see if she can. Ummm, you should be able to re do these braids no problem. I’m so pissed about this. I paid way too much for this crapola! Stay away from this place. It’s a waste of money!

Mimi took a hair style I showed her and made it my own. She is dependable and I love her honesty. Mimi knows braiding and she aims to please, and of course you are her walking advertisement that is why she takes pride in her work. Thank you Mimi for always giving me your best and my cornrows are beautiful! Mimi’s is a little spendy but she is fast, professional, and her work is flawless.

DONOTEVERGOTOTHISSALON! I wish I had seen the other review on here before I spent an entire 13 hours, my money on this horrible place. I went in for a consultation and explained what I was looking for. I said that I had longer natural hair and she said that wouldn’t be an issue at all. I asked for a price to take my braids out and then to re-braid them down. Exactly like what I had. She said $ 165 for braiding and $ 65 for unbraiding. After showing up early for my appointment there were five other women there also. She kept telling me that more people were coming and so I asked if I should start unbraiding to help. Little did I know that I would spend the ENTIRE day unbraiding my own hair to have a young kid come over and try and help and then tell me he is afraid of combing out the hair. She apologized, her daughter apologized but still I have never seen such shoddy work. Then they get to braiding around 4 pm(this is insane since my appt was at 10 am) and the first lady who started braiding my hair had NOIDEA what she was doing and had to keep unbraiding what she had started and start over again. I finally said I would wait for Mimi or her daughter. They had washed my hair but not dried it so it air dried and became very tangled. I have NEVER in my 15 years being braided or having my hair done in any style have I been in that much pain and had such absolute terrible, horrible, disgusting service. I left after 13 hours without even looking at how bad it was. But lets not forget the argument about the money. She had locked the door since they were closed so when it was time for me to leave I asked what I owed. She said $ 270. I said for what! I unbraided my hair! I sat here all day long and you are charging me $ 270!!! After a solid 30 minutes or arguing and negotiating she had the nerve to tell me that she would only charge me $ 250 and that now I know for next time and when I come back she will give me a discount. COMEBACKAGAIN? I wouldn’t come back here again for free and if they paid me. Horrible service! Terrible quality! And the absolute worse experience I have ever had in a salon. As if all of that wasn’t terrible enough it has been over a week and my scalp is still painful and tender. I am terrified to take them out again and see what damage this disgusting place did to my natural hair. After all of these years I have never had such a bad experience. DONOTGOHERE! PLEASESAVEYOURSELFTHETROUBLE!!!

When I first met Mimi a few years back, one of the first questions she asked me was if I was pregnant. I was overweight but not pregnant! Way to win a customer for life. Mimi is extremely rude but it gets worse. She braided my hair earlier this year. I have had my hair braided for years. She braided my box braids so TIGHT that my scalp hurt for 6 weeks after and I lost ALLOT of my own hair because she braided my hair so tight. She also charged me $ 185.00 to braid my hair when a few months earlier, she had told me she would braid it for $ 170.00. Also, everytime(Twice) I go to her she asks if I have cash. SHEDOESNOTTRUSTANYONE!!! Weird for a business owner to treat her customers like that. PLUS, she would always ask as series of personal questions and then when you ask her anything, she will not answer you. SHEISFOULANDRUDE!!! When I went to her to have my braids taken out, originally she said she would charge me $ 40.00 dollars. When I came back she said it would be $ 60.00. Now for those of you who do not know, when you pay someone to take your hair out, it means ALL the hair and the braids. My hair was braided halfway down. ALLMIMIDIDWASTAKEOUTMYFAKEHAIR. SHEDIDNOTTAKEOUTMYBRAIDSAS I HADPAIDHERTODO. About half way though her taking my braids out supposedly, I feel my hair!!! I felt that she had not taken all of my braid out just the part with fake hair. What a witch. I told her that Mimi, you were supposed to take out my hair. ALLOFIT~ Not just the fake hair. Mimi then insists that this is how she takes hair done. I told her I have had my braids taken out for the past 17 years and NEVER has anyone done half the job!!! I told her what she was doing by taking out half, I could have done myself at home. ITTOOKMEEFFING hours to take my braids out at home. I should have left there without PAYING that WITCH a dime! I told her I would NEVEREVER come back to her store and that what she did was wrong and she is a rip off artist. DONOTGIVETHISDECEITFUL, AWFUL woman your business. SHe is rude, will rip you off and has a NASTY attitude. She is the WORST!!! RUN! I have someone else that braids my hair in half the time and half the price. THANKGOD!

I recently went to get my hair braided at this salon within the past 7 days. When I arrived I asked for my hair to be washed only to find out they do not have a hair dryer with attachment to blow dry my hair out. Also after about four braids I was asked to PAY. I felt this was kinda rude seeing that I just sat down to get my hair down. Also I was happy with the braiders job but the pressure of being asked to pay and the credit card machine being down really set a bad tone for me. After all that once she was done brainding my hair, I asked if she could oil my scalp or spray my braids… The woman that braided my hair said. «I’m sorry, we dont do that here». I thought that was it I’m not coming back here and will not refer anyone to this salon. After paying over $ 200 for some micro braids not incuding extra to get my hair washed I thought the least you could do is oil my scalp or my hair. BADSERVICE
