Ahh Hoodkroft — my hometown course. This course actually has a pretty decent(and tough) layout and the rough is usually really thick. Prices are cheap — the clubhouse is nothing special, and the putting surfaces are usually pretty dicey. That being said, Hoodkroft sits in a flooding plain and if there is a rainy spring, it makes it tough to keep the greens in good shape, especially after a brutal winter. With a little bit of more maintenance(not sure how much this course is making) this could really be a SOLID course. Keep in mind it is only 9 holes … but the layout is challenging with a bunch of forced carries, streams, and blind shots. The rough, is usually LONG. Fun times, try it out!
