I repair my small engine equipment myself. Every once in a while I go there to buy replacement parts. They always have everything, it is amazing. Show them a worn out belt and they tell you the make and the model of your machine. If I had something to repair beyond my skills or workshop equipment, I would bring it there.

Think back(or imagine, for those of us who aren’t old enough to think back — which would be most of us…) to the days when the staff to customer ratio was much higher. To when the teller behind the counter knew you by name, and often by order. Think back to a time when you had someones full attention, you didn’t have to fight other customers, the phone, the computer and countless other sources of distraction. This is what is its like to be here and cared for. Now don’t get me wrong, I understand that times have changed and it is not possible to run a store just as it would have been back then, but there are some key aspects that can be taken away. Real customers come first. The ones who took the time to walk in your front door and stand in front of your counter with a wallet in their hand deserve your full attention and you get 110% of that with Ed, Im a 34 year old who appreciates quality and I will be back. Thanks Eddie. /Marc C.

I’ve driven by this place for years but never had reason to have my stuff serviced until this year. A buddy of mine recommended Eddie’s to me, saying that it’s a complete no BS operation. He was right. I had my green lawn tractor picked up for service(pickup and delivery fees were a lot more reasonable than I expected). The tractor(10 years old) needed some pretty significant work. The owner diagnosed the issue on the spot and quoted me a price and repair timeframe. I got a call right on time letting me know that the work was done and that the job was going to cost me less than his original estimate. A few years ago, before I knew of Eddie’s I purchased a Stihl chainsaw from on the of shops on 28 in Salem. I had to bring it back to them to fix an issue(the saw would not stop running once started.) A warranty repair, they kept it for three weeks and got it back to me. The first time I used it their«fix» was undone and the problem was back. So I decided to bring the saw to Eddie’s for work. The guy(Eddie?) took the saw from me, cracked open the cover, adjusted the way throttle linkage(?) contacted one of the wires and said«it’s fixed» and sent me on my way(and wouldn’t take any money for the fix.) He also did a great job bringing my 10 year old snowthrower back from the dead and running good as new(again, for a pretty reasonable fee.)
