I am a regular shopper at Al’s for the last 7 years, and he is only open Friday– Sunday 10−5pm Thursday by chance only. He’s the guy real antique dealers go to. A Lovely charming fellow, always negotiable and he delivers big pieces too! You won’t find anywhere else like this place!

Can anyone who has actually found the place open ask the owner what the store hours are? I’ve been here weekend, weekday, business hours and after about a dozen times in the past year(it’s on my thrift route), and it’s never open. No one ever picks up the phone. No sign listing business hours.

The man who owns this store was so nice and accomodating to us when we stopped in here. We found some unusual pieces, too, at more than reasonable prices. The place does have a strange area in the back with dishes in a tent on old bookshelves. But, overall, if you’re looking for something a bit different from a Connecticut antique store I’d recommend stopping by this shop.(Also, the large red statue out front looks to me like Atlas – not a Native American figure as was mentioned by another reviewer).

Love this place! So much to look at, prices are usually reasonable. I’ve bought a lot of things from this place and brought friends to come peruse it with me. Nice people working there. Looking forward to my next trip there. They almost always have what I’m looking for(and then some!).

A little antique shop located along 34. You’ll notice it from the burgundy statue out front showing an american indian-style figure. This is a little shop which some might call an «antique store» and others might call a «junk shop». They sell lots of used furniture, artwork, classic technology(like old typewriters), and some high-end old clothing. The place is quite cramped and literally stacked to the ceiling in spots. But you can get some nice stuff at a good price. The owners are more than willing to negotiate on price, and are just very nice people. Worth a stop.
