Bowling was fun but the food and the food service was terrible. The bathrooms were not clean and the bowling seating area is uncomfortable and set up poorly.

Pretty good food, a bit pricey but expected. We came on a Friday night and it wasn’t too packed, the staff is friendly and the bathrooms are super clean with full wall privacy. Generally an overall good experience; the arcade has an impressive selection compared to most bowling alleys. The bar is tidy, but when we went it was empty so service was fast.

Nice bowling alley, but the customer service is atrocious. The people working the front desk are delightful. I used to bowl here twice a week until a certain bartender(Tabatha) lost my interest for the whole place. The rudest person I have met by far. Not only does her attitude suck, but she claims to be a manager. The women working the grill are so caddy it’s actually unbelievable, talk about uncomfortable. Also, shouldn’t you were gloves when preparing food? When I asked for the managers phone number, because I wanted to let him know about his employees, Tabatha not only backtracked on herself being a manager but«did not know his name or number». I asked quite a few times for his information and then she finally gave in and handed it over, while adding«well his Infos on the front desk so…». She’s an ignorant person and does not appreciate her customers. Isn’t the customer always right? I approached the front desk and asked the same exact thing with no hesitation and a smile. So thank you, front desk, but you lost my confidence in ever having a good time there again. It sounds pretty ridiculous that a bartender could make me feel this way, but one situation that could’ve been handled PROFESSIONALLY was not, and that just isn’t acceptable.

A nice bowling alley in the sense of old school atmosphere. The only thing i found lacking was the bumper lanes that some alleys use for kids. My kids love to bowl but have a tough time keeping the ball out of the gutter. Otherwise was a nice bowling alley.

Although my family and I had fun, the service was not good at the food counter. The clerk kept messing up orders, the line was ridiculously too long, and they were short staffed. It really was annoying. They need to hire more people soon or summer time is definitely going to be a bust for them.

overly waxed lanes and balls never gets wiped. so bring something to wipe rental balls… The location is pretty clean, but no matter where you go… certain types of crowds will always be around where they have no bowling etiquette. This place is no exception… Wish the folks who runs the place would spread people around better… plenty of times there were many lanes that were opened… but they stick people side by side. lane by lane…

I wouldn’t be so harsh about the décor. It’s a bowling alley! They have good specials and coupons. What bothered me was the price of their concessions. $ 3 large soda, $ 3 hotdog, $ 4.50 domestic drafts, $ 15 pizza, etc. They understandably prohibit outside food and beverages. But to then gouge your customers on 2nd rate microwave style foods is just wrong. I definitely recommend eating a good meal before you go and bring bottled water.

I enjoy bowling in Deptford and they have a decent bar and fast food service counter. Compared this place to any other area bowling alley in every category, and this one will push if not win. They have the adequate number of lanes and service persons, modern equipment, and fair pricing. For the other reviewer to call this alley«stuck in the 70s» is a blatant misnomer. Maybe it is not the most glamorous bowling alley ever but it certainly is modern enough AND the prices are reasonable for families. Their leagues are thriving and competitive. Even their $ 10 Friday night for two hours($ 15 for 3 hr) laser bowling is a great special that costs more at most other area bowling alleys during such a peak period. Only complaint: their TV at the lanes service often shows hockey or basketball above where you are bowling, but the TV’s are not the proper dimension to be showing anything that requires picture quality, such as movement of a skater with the puck, or a dribbler with the ball. I imagine you can just about make out the score and who is winning based on what color their jerseys are supposed to be, and whether the number is crooked or straight. Most bowling alleys don’t have this TV at your disposal, and this is one of the earlier bowling centers to try it. It was a good concept they had but it doesn’t really work on this level.

Brunswick Zone Deptford is an okay bowling alley-nothing special. With so many bowling alleys becoming hip and cool, this place hasn’t. The alley hasn’t been updated since the 70s. Fine if you’re just coming to bowl but not if you’re looking for«atmosphere.» Avoid the food though. It’s nothing special and fairly pricey. A small pizza will be about $ 6 and tastes worse than something you would microwave. The day we went my group waited about 30 minutes for the fast food service counter person to hand over a microwave pizza and two under-cooked still cold chicken sandwiches. Of course she added coughing and sneezing over the food to top off the half hour wait. Appetite gone…
