reasonably decent prices and quality meats. Only grocery store in Depoe bay. Covenient and they got just about everything you need there. The areas newest dispensary which is high times cannabis cup winning is going in directly accross the street… Pretty excited for that.

We’ve visited this particular Thriftway during our stays at WorldMark Depoe Bay — The Resort at Whale Pointe back 2013 and two stops recently on 4÷19÷15 and 4÷21÷15. Yes, there’s WalMart, Fred Meyer, and Safeway in Newport. However, this Thriftway has a small community feel and a great selection of just about everything you need during a brief or extended stay. A plus is their friendly and efficient checkout staff!

Depoe Bay is lucky to have a store like this. Lots of everything. I was pleasantly surprise to find they were open until 3pm on Thanksgiving to grab items we did not pack for our vacation at Bella Beach. Thank you!

What a welcome surprise this place is! We’re visiting, and due to numerous eating sensitivities,(Vegetarian, gluten sensitive, dairy sensitive — you name it, we got it) we tried to bring everything with us. Naturally, several key items fell through. In my experience, small stores in small remote towns don’t generally cater to our range of necessities, but I was able to get gluten free bread, and my choice of Silk or Almond Breeze almond milk, soy milk, coconut milk or some combination thereof. I also had not trouble getting the absolutely-necessary-on-any-vacation popcorn kernels(less of a surprise, but you never know). Good wine selection. Finally, not one, but two options for locally roasted coffee beans, ground or whole bean, and date stamped. Oh, be still, my food-snob heart! Also, random: live east coast lobsters. Because. PS — if, like me, you discovered your lack of breakfast foods at very inopportune time, you may also be interested to know that there is a coffee shop right next door.

We love our Thriftway! This is what a «supermarket» looked and felt like when I was a kid, before warehouse shopping came along. Everything you need, without being overwhelming. The staff is friendly, the shelves are stocked, and the store is tidy and organized. Sure, we make the occasional run to Freddie’s in Newport, but Lincoln Beach Thriftway is our every-day grocery store.

I am impressed at the quality of the produce here! Great deli, bakery and super wine selection. This is my go-to store when we stay at the beach. Quick in and out, friendly staff. We even were told a great Duck Pond wine story! I certainly would love this store where I live… Beats Safeway and FM. Want bigger, stay in the valley.

So convenient, they have the basics. Friendly folks, movie rentals, second hand movies for purchase and a great selection of magazines. Counter for ready made food items includes sandwiches and hot items, too. A good selection of wine. Too spendy for a whole shopping trip, though.

Went to grab a few items, we are on our hols from Colorado. Wow, was very impressed, sure this ain’t Costco(reviewer who made this absurd comment is welcome to drive to the nearest Costco near Depoe bay!) but was well stocked, had a good selection of wines and even some fresh fish. This ain’t a Whole Foods clone like I had been shopping at when we were near Portland but seeing as we are roughing it at the coast it’s just fine, probably better than the Safeway I was going to drive to in Lincoln City. Got some organic milk, spinach and the other veggies seem reasonably priced. It’s eggs and bacon for us tomorrow morn!!!

This is the smallest of the local grocery stores I’ve been to on the coast, and the only one in Depoe Bay — it’s about the size of 3 convenience stores — the size markets were 40 years ago, before mega marts, superstores, and one-stop-shopping dominated the street. Definately a «step in» market. Lots of beer/mixers to cater to vacationers and weekenders, but also good looking produce — spring is good for fruit and veggie sales. Dairy and bread were fresh, aisles were well stocked with enough variety to do my shopping, and even a satisfactory array of frozen veggies(and ice cream) — though I didn’t find a single grapefruit in the produce section… which is a deal breaker for me. The food from the deli counter smelled good — I’m guessing pic-nic folks can find enough fried goodies and chips to make a good afternoon at the beach!

Prices that you should expect at a small freestanding grocery store on the Oregon coast. The next grocery stores are 10+ Miles in either direction A good deli, veggies, fresh(live) lobsters and local seafood. Their chicken tenders are all white meat, big chunks, and delish! If you want cheaper beer… go into Lincoln City or Newport. Or tote your own. Suds are always more spendy in those little food outlets on the Coast! Sorry!

Pricey. Stock up at Costco before you hit town, that’s my advice.

I didn’t come for the shopping, I came for the chicken! A friend suggested this place as the go-to for chicken strips and fried chicken. I totally agree with them — for $ 4.99 you get 3 chicken strips and a side. The chicken strips were plump, juicy and nicely battered. We had the jojos to accompany as our side, which I could feel my arteries clogging after eating pretty much a whole deep-fried potato). I decided to get even crazier and get the 8 pc chicken and couldn’t be any happier. It’s a good thing when the locals come here on a daily basis for their fill and rave about the deli. So next time you’re in Lincoln City stop by Thriftway and check out their deli! Psst — I had a sample of the fried mushrooms and gizzards — wow!

Ummmm gross. Thriftway is a decent market in the Portland metro area, however this location doesn’t even compare to my corner market that specializes in Old English 40’s and mad dog 2020… Moldy produce, dirty floors and stinky fish. It’s the coast how the hell do you have nasty seafood? If you get out and about there is plenty of options on the coast, there is no need to buy here. The only thing that kept us coming back was mixers for our drinks. Stay away unless you need some mixers.

I was really impressed with the selection here. I ended up getting some cinnamon roll bread from their bakery for French toast, Greek yogurt, and some really tasty bananas. They had a surprising offering of produce, which was nice to see in a touristy area. Prices were really reasonable. Pretty on par with stores you’d find in the valley. Plus, they had a sale on Ben & Jerry’s \m/ The employees were all super friendly, and even chatted me up at various times during my shopping expedition. I’ll definitely shop here again when I’m back in town.

This is a really nice grocery for a touristy area. The produce was good and the prices were fair. The staff was also very friendly, and I was surprised for find that there was no ‘vacationer’ feel to the place; prices were reasonable and there was a very wide selection of local and standard goods that you’d expect to find at your store at home. Thumbs up!
