Grasso’s Pizza

I live downtown so I didn’t know Grasso’s existed until we were in the area helping a friend move. We ordered a bucket of wings, medium, for supper. I was beyond impressed! The wings were crispy, without having to ask. The sauce was spicy without being overpowering and the wings weren’t drenched in sauce like you normally get. Not sure if they make their own Bleu cheese but it was excellent! We reheated them for supper last night and they were just as good. Gold star for Grasso’s! We will definitely order from them again, even if we have to go out of our way to get it!

I am a chicken finger connoisseur. I’m almost 30, and I like chicken fingers. I also like filet mignon, though, and do find the balance between eating like a 5 year old, and eating like a 29 year old.
When I lived in Depew, I used to order from this place all the time, and 3 years later, I thought I would give their chicken fingers a shot again, since their bbq sauce is amazing. It is like Sal’s on Olmsted’s sauce. I ordered online, which I love that feature. You get 5 chicken fingers, fries, a sauce, and then a dipping sauce. So I got blue cheese (of course, we live in Buffalo!!), and the bbq sauce.
Went into Grasso’s, and the girl who waited on me was rude. She was more interested in talking to her friends and watching Jeopardy, then taking care of the one customer in the place. When my order was up, she said, «Here’s your order.» I said, «Thanks.» Not even a have a good night, or thanks for stopping by, something. She just went right back to flirting and watching Jeopardy.
When I got home, I was eating my chicken fingers and threw the majority of them out because there were veins and gross stuff in them. That’s disgusting and unacceptable. My first instinct was to stop at Chuck’s on North St. on the way to my house from work, but I had to stop at Wegmans because my friend decided to invite her family over for dinner and I needed supplies. I should have went with my instincts and went to Chuck’s. That place knows how to do chicken fingers. Snyder Bar & Grill knows how to do chicken fingers. 1,200 other places know how to do chicken fingers. This place doesn’t. They didn’t even give you any celery pieces. What is that all about?!?

It may sound strange but, Mashed Potato Pizza is So Good. We order it at least once a month. Smokehouse Style BBQ wings are good too.

We order pizza from here regularly and always enjoy it. We ask for it to be cooked «well done» as we like a crispy crust. Never had any of the issues some of the other reviewers stated… also don’t use the drive through, we pick up the phone to call to place orders and walk into the building to pick up our order. Lol.

My wife recently got a job out near Alden and tried Grasso’s after her 1rst paycheck to celebrate. The 1rst Pizza was great. Well the past 3 times it’s been absolutely nothing but ¾ crust/​dough on all of the a slices. Granted we ordered on Wed. Special night but I can now honestly say they are done! I’d rather pay more for Picasso’s in Lancaster then give another penny to Grasso’s. Thanks for your time to read this but maybe your better off buying a couple slices out of that counter hot box because your pizza won’t look like the slices they sell!

Grasso’s is usually pretty good. They could learn to handle bad experiences a little better though.
Ordered online early this morning around 11ish when they opened, didn’t receive our food until almost 12:45pm, and didn’t receive it until after a call to the store after almost an hour had passed. When we called they said the order must be out already but I didn’t receive the email that the order was out for delivery until almost 15 minutes after we called so they probably didn’t get the order or they didn’t see it? Either way, nothing was really offered to us. I don’t normally order their fries as far as side order but I think there may have been extra in there? It’s too bad because they were cold and not really edible, so we had to throw them away. The subs we ordered were very good and nice and hot though, so that’s a plus. Just wish they maybe would have offered to take half off the bill since we had to wait an hour and a half or so for our food and since some of the food couldn’t be eaten.
Despite the experience of today, I give this place 4 stars because the service is usually very good and the food is always good. Their online ordering system is typically reliable and it’s a good local place. Especially love the personal pizzas.

Just got wings and they were perfect! Grassos is the only place I will ever order wings from! I highly recommend the garlic parm wings

I think this is some of the best pizza in WNY. The prices are good and the pizza is wonderful. Have ordered from them approximately 30 times (Mostly pizza and wings, some subs.) and am never disappointed. We will continue to frequent Grasso’s.

If you like «O’s», particularly multiple O’s, then I’m your man. Unless you like Grass O’s, which would be O’s enjoyed while high on marijuana, in which case I am not your man because I’m not into drugs. But more power to you.
Grasso’s is very average pizza, and in a city like Buffalo, average pizza is akin to bad pizza, because we have so much good pizza. For example, Pizza Heist (yum!) is just a mile or so away from here.
I also don’t like the service. The guys working in here were not particularly friendly. He had issues with heating my slice up and even then it was lukewarm. He charged me (in my opinion) way too much for a few breadsticks that were just about to be thrown out anyway.
However the breadsticks were decent, the pizza slice was fairly priced, it was huge, and my friend (who I shared it with) thought it was good. It was very cheesy, a little bland, a little congealed, there wasn’t too much flavour to it. I’d describe it as basic. Definitely not a work of art, and could have used more spice and flavour. Nevertheless, the place is open late, the slices are huge, and you could do a lot worse, financially and taste-​wise, than snacking on a slice from here.
And if you really do like Grasso’s, then I should probably tell you that I have it on good authority from my friends in Los Angeles that Cokeo’s are even better.

This business is NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY!!. They refused to take my wing order at the drive up window and insisted I get out of my car… in January… and enter the buiding to order. I stressed that I was only placing the order and would return to pick it up. There were no other customers! Later management contacted me and said «it is their policy not to tie up the Drive Up window»!! What part of «I am only placing a wing order» did they not understand?

Above average pizza and wings. Love the sheet pizza special! Tastes like they use quality ingredients. They have a tasty gluten free pizza as well.

I’ve been in Lancaster for the last year, so I’ve been trying out different pizzerias in the area to see what I like best. I finally tried Grasso’s, this weekend, and although it was definitely better than some of the other local pizzerias, the sauce was too salty for my liking. I probably won’t order pizza from here again.

Well, for my second review of Grasso’s, my rating remains unchanged. We ordered a Cheese, Pepperoni & Mushroom pizza.
First off, it tasted really good, which is why my rating remains 3 stars. The sauce, cheese and toppings were all very, very good. But for the second time, the pizza was extraordinarily messy. I simply could not hold one of the slices. And it was not a pizza with lots of toppings, so I can’t give them a pass for that this time.
I may try them again in the future but I’ll wait awhile. Hopefully the super-​sloppy pizzas were just a fluke.

Amazing food. My two recommendations are the stuffed banana peppers and the Philly steak pizza. Trust me and just go order it and try them yourself!

As Buffalo has no shortage for pizza and wings, being unique is a must. Found mashed potato pizza, and quesadilla cheese stick appetizer. Very good to have variety.

Subs are small, ham is gross, food is very bland, pizza is mediocre. The staff there who answers the phones aren’t very intelligent, usually late with deliveries. Not recommended. The only thing I liked is the online ordering process.

Got pizza and wings from here on new years day. Ordered a small Hawaiian pizza and a large pepperoni with medium and BBQ wings. All the food was very good. The pepperoni pizza seemed to have extra cheese on it despite us not even having to ask for extra cheese (this is a good thing!). The pineapple on the Hawaiian pizza was extremely fresh, that pizza was also very good. the wings were large and crispy. the medium sauce wings were very good, a few of the BBQ ones were slightly burned.

Nope. We had a sheet pizza. Personally walked inside to pick it up, so I know exactly where I went. Sorry. Just not a fan. But that’s just me.

Grassos is fairly good pizza. The dough is solid, the sauce is tasty and the ingredients are good also. Their probably second on my list as far as pizzas go in the Lancaster/​Depew area and with that being said, as far as Unilocal reviews go there getting an unfair wrap here for whatever reason.
Their a solid pizzeria, they really are. Not the worst but certainly not your gold standard by know means. My top 5 WNY pies currently worth mentioning.

4) Bobs Poplar (Cheektowaga)
5) Zips Wise Guys (North Buffalo)

Try the Buffalo Chicken Pizza! Best pizza ever!
