First of a three-day celebration for 60th birthday Friday night paint and sip. The atmosphere was perfect. It was an area to set up your finger foods and your wine. I unlocked my Unilocal coupon and received a free T-shirt. John the instructor was delightful and also if you like celebrity look alikes it’s definitely the place to go. We weren’t rushed and we were able to bring out our inter artist. I recommend Art by You to all Unilocalers.

So much fun with friends! What’s better than getting wine drunk and showcasing your art talents? Almost anything. But this somehow manages to be a good time. You can bring your own wine, as much as you want. They supply the canvas and the paint(and a smock to wear during). The guy who taught our class was very nice and you could tell he enjoyed what he was doing. $ 25 for the whole thing, very cheap. I do my own canvas paintings at home so it’s definitely not something I’ll ever need to do more than once, but it was still fun! Highly recommend this place over any of the others X’s and O’s! J

This place was the original painting and drinking class in town. I have been there several times. The paintings are more on the traditional side, but John, the owner and teacher, is phenomenal. Unlike the other studios where there is no art tips that you can take back home with you, John provides little tidbits here and there that you can apply to paintings you want to try at home. The owners are friendly and inviting. I even one a gift certificate for Art by You at one of their raffle months. They were the first to paint the Peace Bridge, the Buffalo Lighthouse, the African Savannah. It is a great place that I wish others would check out. It is bring your own anything. You could bring your own cheese, or other food, wine, beer, etc. It’s great. And it’s the only place in town that is reasonable at $ 25 for a 2 hour class and $ 35 for a three hour class.

A friend of a friend was hosting a 2-hour painting class where half of our fee would go toward a breast cancer support group that her friend is a part of. I couldn’t say no to participating since I’ve seen too many lived ones suffer through breast cancer and treatment. Plus I love being artsy so it was a PERFECT combination of doing good and having fun! There were 12 ladies in the class with all different levels of creativity running through their veins. Our painting was of a vase with flowers in it. I completely took a different(color and style) direction than that of the original painting and was pleased with my results. That’s the fun thing about art– do what moves you! The art space itself is decent, comfortable for a group of 12 and I’m sure potentially a few more. But do note that you have to walk up a flight of stairs to get into the painting area. If you’re handicapped or unable to walk up stairs, this space is less than ideal. I’m glad I unlocked my art talent once again. It’s bee tooooooo long! I’m going to have to hit up an art store for supplies soon so I can make more creations at home. Very inspiring!

You’ll be amazed at what you can do” is their slogan and yea, it’s true. For $ 25 you get a 16 X 20 canvas, all the paint and brushes you need and 2 hours of instruction of a predetermined painting that you create. The website has a calendar with different pictures for different days, so pick one that you like and have fun. You can also bring your own refreshments, snacks, etc. Really a fun time.

Went here with a few friends because of a Groupon or Livingsocial that we bought. We all had a great time and plan to go back. The only hang up is that everyone who goes makes the same painting, so if you go as a date night, you wind up with two of a kind(obviously a little different). I’m hoping to go again with my mom & sisters. The instructors teach a great class and show you different methods to make your artwork just(ok, almost) like theirs! I bet it’d be a fun time for a low-key bachelorette too!
