I went to Dr. Weimar initially because he’s a 5 min. walk from my place, and being able to just walk on over there is incentive for me not to skip those 6 month check-ups that most of us really don’t want to do in the first place. I really try to keep my money in the hands of small business, so when I look for services, I tend to look at location and also will give non-corporate, mom-and-pops business preference. Dr. Weimar’s office is definitely not corporate – it’s a family business. His wife is a dental assistant, so his wife cleans my teeth and then he comes in and does a quick cavity check. The office is clean and modest and the staff are very friendly. They remember me when I come in and even remember little tid-bits about who I am. I like this kind of personalized experience. The teeth cleaning is always good, and Dr. Weimar did have to do an extraction for me once too. I had a crown on a back molar for many years. Eventually it began to abscess and hurt(which is what prompted me to find Dr, Weimar). He was very gentle with the extraction and it was no worse than popping out a baby tooth(but keep in mind this was a tooth that already had a root canal years earlier). My only complaint is that when Mrs. Weimar cleans my teeth, she tends to ask me a question just as my mouth is being rinsed — ha. ha. :-D But don’t they all do this?
