Authentic, delicious tortillas. As soon as I walked in, a smell that reminds me of tortillerias in Yucatan Mexico filled my nose. I bought a bag of fresh(still hot!) corn tortillas for $ 2; didn’t count how many but there were a lot. I brought them home to my husband who has spent extensive time doing fieldwork in the Yucatan and as soon as he smelled the tortillas he was so excited– We’ve never been able to find something that comes close in the U.S. and these are spot on. We ate all our meals with tortillas for several days after that :) Parking is really easy with a big lot in the strip mall. I can’t wait to go back here to pick up more corn tortillas and try out their other varieties and goodies. This is my new go-to place even though it’s nowhere near my apartment.

Best corn tortillas I’ve had and you can get them hot all day every day of the week. I love this place.

Was looking for some quality tortilla’s and somehow found this old Denver Post article about this place. A couple weekends ago visited this place for the first time on a saturday and they are awesome. Located in the strip mall on the corner of Florida and Federal it is easy to get in and out of. Lot’s of delicious options, we were there on a Saturday and apparently they only make Corn tortilla’s fresh on the weekends; however these were some of the best Corn tortilla’s I have had. A big pack of them was ~$ 2.50 or something like that. We also picked-up some day-old regular flour tortillas and some wheat ones and they were fantastic. They also have day-old packs of all of their tortilla’s and I believe during the weekday they make all of the different types. You should really stop in here. I believe they are open from 7am to 7pm.

I mentor an young tween, soon to be 13. His mom and dad, from Chihuahua MX will ONLY buy their tortillas from Cuauhtemoc. She endorses their quality 100%. John Moyer

For around two bucks, you can get a pile of freshly-made corn tortillas four inches high. For a point of reference, four inches of tortillas= three weeks’ worth of quesadillas and fish tacos. They make the tortillas there, as you watch, and hand them over wrapped in paper towel and still warm, pillowy-fresh for days and days. It’s a ridiculous deal– their products blow store-bought, rubbery, mealy tortillas out of the water. We drive all the way from Capitol Hill for these, and they are absolutely worth the extra driving.
