This place always serves terrible food. You always have to wait a long time for a waiter or waitress to come to your table. They bring your drinks and take even longer to come take your order and when you complain they blame it on other waiters. Once you finally get your food, it’s the wrong thing, or the added something you asked them not to or it’s really cold! And if your drink runs out, don’t expect a refill any time soon… especially if you’re Hispanic. They act like your money isn’t good enough. They suck up to other people. Definitely one of the worse places to go!

Tortillas are not home made. Salsa is ok. Margaritas aren’t great. It’s fine but not great.

This place use to be called El Coyote– and MAN, was THAT place good. Everything was authentic, fresh and so delicious. NOT anymore. We went for lunch at 12:00pm on a Thursday. At 12:45 our food still wasn’t out, so we asked to have it boxed. They did(and didn’t charge us– so that was at least nice.) Got back to the office to eat it(so much for the lunch date) and it was actually really, really disappointing. Cheez wiz instead of queso. SO greasy. Mushy. And my friends said she couldnt’ even eat hers because it was so greasy and gross. So… I miss El Coyote. They knew how to cook Mexican food.

This is such a great authentic Mexican restaurant. It’s my first choice when I’m craving Mexican food. The service is always wonderful. Everyone is friendly and fast, and the food is delicious. I recommend this place to anyone craving some great tasting, authentic Mexican food.

I ordered a variety of tacos to go for a party one night when I was in a pinch. They were a hit! Sooooo good and reasonably priced unlike other trendier places. Authentic fare, nice and helpful staff, good prices. Definitely recommended!

Whenever I am feeling Mexican food, I tend to try hole in the wall places. They usually have the best food. I was right about El Torito. The place was pretty dead for lunch on a week day. I figured more business people would have been there. I was seated in a very large booth by myself that looks at the whole restaurant. Since I had the room, I spread out. The ships and salsa were awesome. The chips were very salty, just the way I like them. The salsa, slightly spicy and thick chunks. I ordered a combination plate with a ground beef taco, chicken enchilada, beans and rice. The taco was good, but nothing too special. The chicken enchilada was smothered in green chile sauce and spiced perfectly. Great enchiladas! The service was quick and friendly. Best part of it all, lunch with an iced tea was only $ 8. I go to Wendy’s and pay more than that for lunch. Check out this tiny place. They have happy hour from 6 – 8 with two for one drinks!

I was here for breakfast a few months ago after they changed ownership and thought it was good enough to return. I was back again last night to watch the Cup with 3 kids and 3 adults and had maybe the worst dining experience in my life. I think it may have changed ownership again. The staff from the kitchen down to the servers were incompetent. Our server didn’t know the menu. We ordered chili con queso and it was grilled green peppers and onions with white cheese on top-more like fundido. We requested a marg a certain way and had to send it back. All of our food came out at different times. We ordered kids bean and cheese burritos and they came out last and were smothered-not how kids burritos are served. We ordered a taco salad and it had an inch of liquid on the plate. When we sent it back, we were told«that was the juices of the meat»…aka grease. The staff kept calling the manager because they were fighting amongst themselves. It took us 30 minutes to get our check bc they were trying to get approval for a discount. I had to take my kid through a drive thru after sitting there for 2 hours. Horrible.

I have been several times and have never been disappointed. The inside is nice and clean, the food is always good and very affordable, and the service is fast. I want to try something new but always end up getting the tacos because they are so good. They have good deals on drinks and i enjoy their chips and salsa. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Came here for a breakfast burrito one morning, and was shocked at what I got. I ordered a sausage breakfast burrito, and I was appalled to find that the«sausage» in my burrito was nothing but a cut up hot dog. Seriously? How does any restaurant get away with crap like this? I’ve also tried their tacos, and really, its nothing special. This place was 100x better under the previous ownership when it was El Coyotito #3. Will never be returning here knowing that hotdogs are an acceptable substitute for sausage at this dump.

Yes this used to be El Coyotito. now El Torito. Don’t care… still good real mexican food. I just went for lunch. and the place was almost full, and that’s definetely a good sign … There were Latin and American customers… all enjoying the food. FYI they play latin music and have the tv(on mute) on latin channels. Yes the salsa might not be good, but really are you going to judge a restaurant just for the chips/salsa they served? I had a combination of Carne Asada and Shrimp Tacos. I like it a lot. My American friend had a smothered burrito and she like it too. Planning to return back for sure and try different things. prices are good, taste is good, dish size are big. Sounds good. and yummy to me!!!

The carne asada is excellent! I have eaten there three times and only had one ‘meh’ experience… they had some 40-person party in the side room with the music BLARING and we asked the hostess if they could turn it down and they said no.

The service was o.k. I got the enchilada plate. It was fair, but the food all looked sort of the same. I probably wont go back.

I don’t get all of the sour puss reviews?! This place is the real deal. The food is fresh and tasty… The carnitas tacos are amazing. The green chili has a nice kick. The frijoles are home made. The service is friendly. Can’t wait to come back…

We came here looking for El Coyotito No. 3 and got Torito #3 instead. Once we were seated we felt bad leaving once we realized it wasn’t the same place. So we gave it a shot… I kind of wish we had left. The place was very clean, but that’s where the good ended. The salsa was not really salsa… it took us a few tries to figure it out, but it was enchilada sauce mixed with a little salsa. No bueno. The bf got tacos that he said were«meh», I tasted them and they were just very bland. We also asked for a side of cilantro and got a ton of onions with a sprinkle of cilantro. Do people not have cilantro separately at most places? And why not? Some people just want cilantro. Anyways, I got a chimichanga with rice & beans. It was ok, better than the tacos. Not so much with the rice though. It was kind of crunchy. The servers were nice, but probably not coming back any time soon.

Formerly El Coyotito No. 3. which had good reviews(but I had never been myself). Torito was pretty run of the mill mexican. Nothing was of especially good quality here, and certainly did not scream of freshness. A dead giveaway was the salsa — people had complained about the chips at Coyotito, but the salsa at the now Torito was nothing less than awful — stale low grade mexican ketchup from a giant bottle I’m guessing. I’d caution anyone to call into serious question the passion of any mexican establishment that doesn’t make their own fresh salsa.
