Walked in, not one person dining in there and I see why. The place smelled like an alley. Mold. Piss. Grease. If the dining room smells like that, what does the kitchen look like? Even if there wasn’t a disgusting stench, there was no one at the front to provide service. Heard some females laughing in the back though. This place definitely needs better management. I used to think that Chubby’s had potential but with kind of management it’s under, it’s highly doubtful. I wonder if the health department has been there? Just the smell is toxic. One star is not even deserved but, had to click one to write a review. Boo!!! Chubby’s management!!! You suck!!!

This place is not Mexican food. At $ 3.50 for a crunchy taco that tastes like what can be made at your own house, they are making fools of everyone who spend money there. They don’t have pico de gio?!? No barbacoa!!! Not to mention they can’t follow directions. My very simple order of 6 tacos that we’re all the same and they couldn’t get it right. I ordered the beef & bean tacos, (very expensive ones) and I got the beef ones instead. And I still had to pay something over $ 12! Outrageous! Avoid this crappy place at all costs. They need to be closed down.

*** Smothered fries with barbacoa is the bomb *** Food was amazing– definitely something fat to munch on. Less busier than original chubbies but pretty much same quality. The workers weren’t all that amazing but they weren’t rude either. Will be coming back!!! Wish they’d be a bit more friendly though.

I try not to be unreasonable. But I ordered two orders of carne Asada fries, which on the menu is steak, which I specified at the location when I ordered it. All I wanted was steak on my smothered fries. I got it last time no problem. But when I got home, no steak and crushed dreams.

This place is better than the one on 30th seriously why are they dead at 5 pm? Dopest smothered burrito I’ve ever had. The chicken was tender and the Chile flavorful. Customer service was prompt and polite.

Terrible Customer Service. Every employee seems like they don’t have forgotten to interact with people. When you go through the drive thru it takes an average of 5 – 15 mins for them to take your order. Then the wait in line is I ungodly. This place needs better management. And the employees need better social skills. The drive thru lady this morning always displays a negative attitude.

Pulled up to the window and someone said they’d be right with us. As the cars piled up behind us and no one was answering on the intercom some woman came out after 10 minutes and rudely said «you have to pull up to the window «. Like we were supposed to know. So we pulled up to the window and the woman took our order. Still having an attitude, i asked if i could split the egg in my burrito with potato and she was very confused and said they couldn’t do it. The order than took another 15 minutes to get while the cars behind us sat at the intercom honking because they didn’t know it wasn’t working either. I’ve been to this chubbys several times and every time is great, there is always a very friendly woman that is at the window but today was a younger woman with braces. I’ll never go to this location again! A drive through took at least 30 minutes! Absolutely ridiculous!

Usually this place is a decent fast food Mexican restaurant, but tonight was horrible. I feel like shouldn’t have had to pay for this meal. The green chile had a strange oil taste. Maybe the oil they used was spoiled? Also, we tried to order rice, smothered tator tots, and a soda, but there were out of all of that. We settled for smothered burritos and they were awful!

Oh My God!-Del Taco is better! I’m biased because I’m from San Diego, and the food wasn’t THAT bad, however, I got two chicken tacos, a quesadilla, and a medium Pepsi and it was almost $ 17!!! WTF??? What a rip off!!!

Every chubbies is «the original chubbies» I’m pretty sure this is not it. I get the chubbies appeal, it’s a really strange Mexican American take on burritos. The sauce is what makes it, everything else is your standard poor quality food. However, everyone should try it at least once.

They do have good green chile all as I wanted was chile cheese fries. The speaker at the drive thru was broken ended up waiting in line for over 20min finally got to the window and she says sorry but we are all out of green chile this place officially SUCKS! Oh yeah this was at 6:30pm on a Thursday and they can’t even figure out how to keep green chile on hand.

Eating here was like eating in a rats nest. The restaurant is filthy! Against my better judgement-​after walking into the place and seeing the glob of mess on my plate, cheese not even melted. I sat down, dug my heels into the dirt aka the floor and took a bite before I noticed a nice amount of hair dangling off of my fork. Needless to say, I got up and threw it in the trash and left.
Having to deal with the young girls who work in this establishment would have been equally as bad as eating the hair. They were all too consumed scream-​talking at one another vulgar things and making gagging noises in the kitchen. Probably disgusted at their own food. Wow!
There was also no ice in the ice machine to top off this hell hole.
Come here if you want hepatitis and roach legs.

Got drive through Chile cheese fries when I was in need of some hormone comfort food. Fries were undercooked. Chile was still good. Pretty hard to screw up fries. Also the happy hour ones are tiny portion wise, really not that happy of a deal. This is especially true when your boyfriend says that they don’t want any, then they make you share it with them.

This locations sucks. We came in one morning looking for a good hangover burrito because it is walking distance. The lady at the register was really dumb and asked us to clarify our order like a million times. SOMEHOW, 2 breakfast burritos ended up being like 17 bucks. Wtf? And they smothered them in the super hot chili which we did not ask for. I like hot but it’s a little too hot. The bacon inside of mine was super overcooked. I love Chubby’s, but this location has some improving to do.

Chubbys never disappoints. From the Sopapilla’s to the Steak Deluxe burrito. The French Fry burrito i would probably shy away from. But I seen the double burger they offer on Texas toast looked delicious when Izzy was eating it but the Patties looked to be over done.
And one night their was a 10 minute wait because the Green Chili was still cooking. A Heads up would of been nice.
