Burger was surprisingly good and cooked a perfect medium rare as requested but it took an exceptionally long time to get my food considering there was only one other table. My server was attentive and made some suggestions. I don’t think I’d eat here if I weren’t a hotel guest but if you don’t feel like going out in the cold, it’s not a bad option.

Food is mediocre at best. When you order to-go, they put the food on all separate plates expecting you to balance it back to your room. Bizarre.

NY strip was poorly done. Service slow. Veggies were well done. Smashed potatoes were from a cardboard garden. Chocolate cake was good. On the upside, I didn’t have to walk far to go throw up

The Great American Grill is a restaurant concept that HGI has contracted to have in the hotel. The food is fantastic but what really makes this place is the Monday — Friday bartender. Tall, blond, jolly– you know the guy. THe quesadilla with pickled onions, the dynamite shrimp, the burger– all fantastic. The other day it was –19 degrees and the place was packed. The service stayed great even though it took forever but no one wanted to drive so they stayed in the hotel. The sweet sauce that comes with the spring rolls is the best. I dip everything in it. Get that.
