Nope. Don’t do it. It’s just all covered in liquified butter. And at that price I think they should be paying for my first coronary artery bypass

This place is a marriage of my two favorite cuisines and I couldn’t be happier. I have loved the crab, crawfish, and shrimp. The catfish po’ boy is really good too. I’ve not had their phở yet, but my friends rave about it. Solid restaurant that will have my business for a long time.

Oh Asian Cajun, where do I even start with you? Thank you for blessing my life with the best seafood boil my tastebuds have ever had the pleasure of becoming acquainted with. You are far superior to any Boiling Crab I’ve been to(and I’ve been to many). Even though you are tucked away in a hard-to-see street off of Alameda and your parking situation is downright awful, I will always keep coming back. Like every other Cajun seafood boil joint, it’s market price for all the boils. I remember a couple of years ago, shrimp used to be around $ 9 a pound and now it’s up to $ 11. But you can’t blame the restaurant — food prices are increasing and they gotta make money! What truly sets Asian Cajun apart from its competition is the signature Asian Cajun sauce/seasoning. It is a perfect harmony of sweet, buttery, garlicky goodness with the right amount of spice that is incredibly aromatic and such a tease because when you first get your bag of shrimp or whatever you choose, careful because contents will be hot. It’s a little extra to add corn, potatoes, and sausage to the bag, but nothing worth having comes easy and trust — it’s worth it and I also usually order more extra corn because it’s so good. I’ve also had their Cajun fries, fried oysters, fried alligator, and Cajun wings and those are all also delicious in their own right. My boyfriend said their fries are«like Five Guys, but way better.»(Very eloquently put… haha, but it actually is accurate) They also have a big combo boil option that has shrimp, snow crab legs, mussels, clams, and crawfish with two orders of the corn, potatoes, and sausage for about $ 54 for 5lbs which is great for a group or maybe just a very hungry person(you do you!!!) worth noting — it makes great leftovers. And it’s also really good with rice, but what isn’t? It’s messy and labor intensive so it might not be the best place for a first date, but would you really want to date someone who would judge you for giving into your carnal desires as you ravage through all this deliciousness? Hint: the answer is no. I love you, Asian Cajun. And even though I just had a pound of shrimp for dinner here a few hours ago, I can still smell the Asian Cajun sauce as I type this review and I’m hungry again. Seriously, just go here. Or not so that there’s more for me.

This place is amazing! We had the alligator, snow crab, blue crab, oysters and a pasta dish. When you have an urge for a fusion of cajun and east coast seafood come here! oh, and have a Corona!

Decent appetizers, service, and ambiance. Now I wasn’t going to write a review just so be nice, but wow… Too much had gone wrong in their food! It’s like they don’t care what was being served! 1. Fried shrimp — good 2. Wonton nachos — awesome 3. Lao sausage — good but too sweet. Blue crab: We found one with a tape worm in it. I’m not sure how you can tell which ones have been infected, so this is forgivable. Plus, you won’t get sick from eating this since the crab is already cooked and dead. What was upsetting though, is that the staff insisted that it was the brain. Come on now… I’ve eaten PLENTY of blue crab since I was a kid. Crawfish: Even worse. My friend ate one that was rotten. We were too busy talking that my husband just encouraged her to spit it out immediately. Then, half of the crawfish was actually old. They all had black bellies and it felt like hard dirt like the restaurant didn’t clean it. How could the restaurant be so sloppy? By the way, the black bellies mean the crawfish was almost or already dead by the time they boiled the crawfish. The staff better not come back with another invalid excuse for this because it’s not like I grew up eating and cooking these either. If the restaurant was honest with us in the beginning and the crawfish wasn’t so bad, I wouldn’t complain about these things publicly. I hope someone QC’s their inventory, so their future guests don’t receive the same experience we did.

This place is so unique! Great option for something different for dinner. My boyfriend got the crawfish and he really liked it. I tried the shrimp po boy and it was so delicious. The sauce on the sandwich and served with the fries is amazing. We also tried the smothered fries and they were amazing. Generous amounts of seafood on the smothered fries and the sauce served with that was also amazing. Definitely a great, affordable option for a different dinner experience. So many different options, so no matter what you’re craving you’ll find something to suit your appetite.

Asian Cajun is a really solid seafood place. Almost everything we tasted was really good but not great. The shrimp and crawfish were really good. But the King Crab legs we’re really small especially at almost $ 35 a pound. They handled our party of 40 really well and I have to give them a lot of credit for that. Splitting checks was a little tough but everyone managed to figure it out. I wish there«Asian Cajun Hot» was a little spicier but it was definetly flavorful.

Maybe the best Cajun food in Denver. I stopped by far as shrimp po boy on a rainy day and it was terrific. I have had the seafood boil in the past and it is the best

Wow, this place was awesome! I found this through Unilocal of course as I had a craving for mud bugs. These crawfish were another dimension of awesomeness! We got the signature seasoning which was a combo of the other seasonings. The bag came out, and we unleashed a bowl of 5 pounds of crawdads, corn, sausage, potatoes, and a plethora of garlic. Yabby hut, sit down cause this place puts you to shame, sorry. The Asian Cajun is family owned and everyone was so nice. Sue ellen, was our server and told us the history of the place and family. Dessert was also amazing(custard filled cream puff, sorry no pic as i ate it to quickly) make sure to wear your bibs!

The service needs some work because I never got a refill on my beverage and the waitress and waiter keep walking back and forth and only once did someone came to check on us. The food is incredible. We got the boil and it came with 1lb of everything for $ 54.95 and we got the Asian cajun medium and it was very flavorful. We’ll be back when we visit again. Don’t get the calamari, it was mainly breading. The oysters are fresh.

Finally after years of wanting to come I made it! It was delicious and well worth the wait. I tried a bit of everything. Tried some mango habanero wings, Korean short ribs, and crawfish broil. Everything was delicious. The only this is say is the serious could use a bit more love, but over all a good experience I’ll be back!

Good Place to get your Cajun Crawfish fix! We stopped here on our way back from snowboarding. The restaurant is located in an area surrounded by Mexican restaurants. The restaurant is a bit confusing, because it advertises Phở. We came here around 2pm, and there wasn’t much of a crowd. We sat where we wanted. The waitress came over shortly after we sat down. She was very nice and informative. The menu is quite different from the normal Crawfish joints, as they offer things not on the menu, such as Pasta, Tacos, and Fried Rice? Fried rice was what was recommended, but it wasn’t on their menu. I think there are other things offered not on the menu. Price was reasonable to similar Cajun Crawfish locations. We order the Combo Fried Rice(~$ 10), Crawfish(~$ 11), Shrimp($~12), and Snow crab legs($~13) in their Asian Cajun Sauce. Corn, Potatoes & Sausage was an extra $ 2.95. The Asian Cajun sauce is garlic, butter, and spices. It’s a little more salty than compared to the sauce offered at a Hot and Juice or Boiling Crab. Overall good food and service.

I’m slightly disappointed in the Asian Cajun. My friend was trying to bring me here because she raves about this place and has been dying for me to try it. We decided to try it last night spur of the moment. From the moment you walk in, the place is much nicer than the crawling crab. It has a nicer, cleaner feel. We got a server my friend had before and we thought the service would be great. It was just ok. I will say that our server was great at keeping our drinks full and taking our orders. When I asked him what the Asian Cajun sauce was like, he said, «I like it.» OK!!! I’m glad you like it but can you tell me WHAT you like about it. Use your words. That knocked the review from 5 to 4.5 stars. We ordered the Cajun fries and gumbo for an appetizer. It was ok. I really like the sauce that came with the fries. The gumbo my friend ordered must’ve been poorly seasoned because my friend kept having to add salt and pepper to it. Where I’m from, gumbo is super flavorful and doesn’t need extra spices. 4 stars. I ordered a pound of shrimp with the Asian Cajun sauce at a hot and my friend and I split two pounds of the snow crab with the classic Cajun sauce at medium. My shrimp was hot, just like I like it. I was surprised the sauce wasn’t as saucy. It had lots of chunks of what I assume was garlic but it didn’t taste like garlic. You can’t order the seafood by the half pound so save yourself that question. The frustrating thing is every question we asked, is probably a question he gets all the time and he just had some kind of attitude when answering. 3.5 stars. The food wasn’t anything to rave about. When it came time to pay we asked to have our checks split and it seriously was an issue. We weren’t asking to split the item specifically. I’ve never been to a place where you can’t give them your card and tell them to charge an amount on one and a different amount on the other. But I guess it was an issue. It’s also unacceptable. I really tried to go in with an open mind but my experience is that these seafood by the pound places in Denver, just have awful service. I am disappointed. 3 Stars, and that’s pushing it.

The only thing that would make this better is if I could go every single day of my life. This place seems perfectly tailored to me. Like the owner heard me talking one day and thought, «let’s open a restaurant Shea will love more than anything else.» I don’t even know what to say. Go here. Stay awhile. Order a bag of some kind of seafood with little eyes. Eat it all. Don’t ask questions. But if you don’t LOVE little eyes in your food(which is crazy by the way) there are TONS of delicious non seafood items.

I came here for an UYE and it was definitely tasty. I ordered the mussels with medium spicy sauce. Be warn, there is a kick to the sauces so I would start with mild if you can’t handle the heat. It had great Vietnamese, cajun flavor. Also ordered the corn, potato and sausage with the boil. The star was the mussels though. I did try the crawfish wontons and chicken wings. Crawfish wontons were hot and freshly fried. Filling was delicious, I believe a cream cheese and crawfish mix. Wings were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Overall, I would come back. Similar to Boiling Crab in CA. Food is delicious. Service is ok, what do you expect at a Vietnamese restaurant.
