Very disappointed with the quality of meat. I ordered some beef brisket. Was super excited because I was the first customer. Usually means the best cut of meat. However, I was given two sandwiches with meat burnt to a crisp. Completely unpalatable and ended up eating only the sides. Would not eat their food again.

Such a crushing disappointment. Pros first: Chicken Tacos had good flavor Pork Sandwich had good smoke Decent Sides Friendly staff who promised«Super juicy meat, best chicken wings you’ve ever had» Cons: Chicken(in both wing and taco form) was inedible. Meat had been overcooked to the point where the texture was jerky(wings) or sandy(tacos) Pretty pricey, especially for the let-down I LOVE food, and really try to make the best of it, but I had to throw the tacos and wings away. Should have brought it back to complain, but they were busy and figured if the chef was so blissfully deluded of the meat problem, he wouldn’t listen to me.

I’ve been chasing around this BBQ truck for nearly a year and finally was able to give their brisket a try. You see, brisket in Denver is… well…terrible. With the exception of the Whole Foods off Hampden(yes, for real), I’ve been let down over and over. Thankfully Texorado quenched my BBQ thirst. After reading some of the reviews I was a bit weary, but everything was fine tonight. I got the brisket sandwich, which came with coleslaw and potato salad — neither of which I normally like but really enjoyed Texorado’s. The brisket was very flavorful, with smoke coming through very nicely. The cut was lean so it was a tad dry, but not in the way that all other Denver brisket is dry(most are like old shoe leather). Rather, the smoke made it candy-like at times and still rather tender, which I enjoy. Overall I’d prefer a more moist cut, but this was completely alright with me. Now if only they’d come down to Copper Kettle…

The chicken tacos with cilantro are awesome and the brisket is on point. I like the BBQ sauce too; good flavor and spicy. I get a chubby whenever I see these guys parked in Golden!

Awesome awesome awesome. Delicious food– great prices. Great people. I’m always hesitant about god trucks but this one is seriously great. But portions for the price too. Really awesome.

Being originally from the south, I understand good Texas BBQ. This is it. The guy was super friendly too. I usually go for the tacos. Insanely good.

Several us ate the food from Texorado while visiting a brewery. We tried the street tacos, chicken wings and brisket(came with chips and slaw). They were out of pork though it was early, 5pm. I would likely give it another star but one gets subtracted based on a semi bad attitude. BBQ is everywhere in Denver and very good BBQ. I wont be back just based on the tude. They were not THAT busy and I told them several times, «just do whatever is easiest» and was basically told I was complicating things. I later realized there were about 10 empty beer glasses where the«cook» was doing his«cooking». Probably not a good choice of hydrating beverages considering it was only 4pm when we got there, the beer had already been consumed AND you seemingly get easily irritated by people trying to order your food. Sadly enough, if we see them outside a brewery we will likely keep driving(especially if hungry).

I’ve eaten here a few times. As a vegetarian, I’m glad they have tofu and portabellos as options. The smoked tofu is really good, especially with the BBQ sauce. I find it fairly expensive though, at $ 10 a plate for tofu on a bed of collard greens with potato salad. But it seems that many food trucks are a bit overpriced, I guess to have us make up for their gas/travel expenses or something? Anyway, I recommend the tofu. I give Texorado 4 stars for the food. I give them less than 3 for attitude though. I’m pretty put off by my last experience there. I ordered the tofu plate but asked if I could substitute slaw for the collard greens. The guy acted all put out and sighed and grumbled, «I GUESS I can do that.» I’m thinking, either you CAN or you CAN’T do it – just tell me straight up. He asked if I wouldn’t just give the collard greens a try but I told him I wasn’t going to eat the meal right away and thought the bed of collard greens might make the tofu soggy. He reluctantly did the substitution for me but sure didn’t seem happy about it. The last thing I need is attitude when ordering a meal. I want to give you my money, and I want you to give me food. If you’re going to act less than nice, I’ll buy food elsewhere.

Having seen this truck all over but never trying it, we decided to give it a go for Dinner. This is the first BBQ place where I loved all the side dishes, so they definitely have that going for them. We ordered a 1 meat plate(pricey at $ 12, especially for me because I never get bbq sandwiches and kind of hate them) and the loaded BBQ chips, which are house made potato chips topped with slaw, brisket, sauce, and onions. Besides being a bit snarky and too-cool-for-school, the staff was fine and at least they take Square. From the name, the bio on their website, and the fact one guy was wearing an Austin t-shirt, I was expecting full on Texas style bbq, which I love. Alas, it only got halfway there. I really enjoyed the slaw and really enjoyed the potato salad, but they will not please everyone. You need to like very vinegary slaw, no mayo here, and you need to like very mustardy, peppery, vinegary potato salad. The chips were crispy and well made as well, and I loved that everything came with typical Texas bbq condiments– dill pickle slices and onions. Unfortunately that’s where the good stops. Although the meat had GREAT smoke, it was the toughest meat I’ve ever had. Also the driest. The chicken was so dry and tough that one inch on either end of the slices was too tough to chew through; at one point I thought i bit down on a bone but realized it was just the very very tough end of the chicken breast. The brisket was chopped pretty finely but was also the toughest brisket I’ve ever eaten. Great flavor but honestly made me worried about my upcoming dental bills. Also– unless I’ve been frequenting some unusual Texas bbq haunts, vinegar-based sauce is not right. I like vinegar, but vinegar slaw, vinegar potato salad, and pickles means that a vinegar sauce is too much. They only offered one sauce as well so that really turned us off; we had no way to make the very dry chicken more palatable because the sauce was so intensely vinegary it made my eyes sweat(I know you’ve felt that before, it can’t just be me). I would get a side item or something to share if this place were the only option in the future. I’d definitely consider just getting potato salad, but I would never order the chicken again and I would bring my own sauce.
