Found this place working nearby.
I ordered the tacos adobada and they are legit. Good flavor and the salsa has kick to it .
They have a good selection of Mexican sodas and candy .
I recommend it if you’re in the area. Very reasonable too.

Just about the best authentic Mexican food in Denver. I have eaten here for about 4 years. Tortas, Tacos, Burritos and various platters — everything was delicious and fresh. The salsa is super spicy, but so good! I used to live in the neighborhood and I would get something from here at least once a week. Get a Mexican Coke or Horchata with your order. The tortas are my favorite!

ordered Barbacoa tacos and barbacoa gordita.

Family-​run hole in the wall that serves up really inexpensive Mexican grub. Most, if not all, of their dishes are under $ 10. Order from the cashier if your Spanish isn’t great and he’ll take care of you. They serve up your typical taqueria tacos. burritos, gorditas, flautas, and tortas either a la carte or as part of a combination platter (rice and beans). They have a cooler with Mexican sodas, including Mexican Coke.
The meats I’ve tried:
Asada — average carne asada but I’d get it again. The meat is minced, almost like ground beef. The meat is a little tough and had gristle.
Buche (cow stomach) — great flavors with enough fatty goodness to make me want more
Chicharrones (pig skin and fat) — very very spicy, fatty and tender! Not for me though.
Lengua (cow tongue) — too bland for my taste and overcooked.
Don’t come here if you’re in the mood for nachos because they don’t serve it.

I dropped by because I live a block away and was feeling too lazy to go a few blocks further for better food. Instant regret. Not only have their prices gone up but the food has gone way down in quality. The lengua burrito was dried out, almost to the point of being a jerky. The asada tacos were also dried out and the only flavor to it was salt… lots of it. I won’t be back.

Best Mexican food in the area! Very authentic and freshly made. I recommend the steak tacos or a Torta de adobada
