So sad to say that Suzy Q does not appear to be in business any more, as returning there recently I found a remodel project going on in the space for a, seemingly, high-priced chain serving sushi /japanese or ??(hard to tell by the propaganda outside the location selling the new tenant. Suzy Q will will be greatly missed as they offered a delightful menu of sandwiches, soups, frozen yogurt at extremely reasonable prices. I guess too reasonable, as now they are gone. My best wishes go to the extremely friendly ladies(owners?) behind the counter, they ran a great operation and provided a delightful place for downtown workers to take time out for an enjoyable and economical lunch.

Although they had Dulce De Leche fro-yo today, I opted for a waffle cone with Liks Sleepless(chocolate with espresso) Ice Cream. Total Charge: less than $ 3 :D

So this is not the best place to go for the fro yo but I could definitely return for there wraps again and again! Not only are they of good size they always seem fresh! Now the people behind the counter definitely look like something out of a boulder sub shop but they make great food! Oh and they have a punch card that is always cool for some brownie points

Suzy-Q-Frozen Yogurt — A Haiku I have a sweet tooth A terrible location A fro yo let down This place has an unrealistic set of ratings based on its location. Its right on the 16th street mall. Dead center of all the foot traffic. So when its hot, and you want to cool down there it is. You get some stuff, you scarf it down, you say«hey not bad». And your right, but that does not equal a good review. First, the place is a dive. Its actually a little bit gross on the inside. The people behind the counter are neither rude nor friendly. They are simply pushing fro yo to combat bordem. The Fro Yo and Ice Cream are just average. Probably 3 star quality in a 2 star joint. Nothing I have had here screams«yay this was worth gaining 2 lbs!». All in all, i would rather go to Dairy Queen I guess.. .

Happiness. I found Suzy-Q on Unilocal and trotted right over for a quick frozen lunch on a very hot June day. So yummy and much cheaper than Kuulture. The tart yogurt is quite delicious.

Cute place right on 16th Street Mall, but damn are they pricey or what? Their smallest serving of ice cream runs almost $ 3! I know they have to pay for high rent, but jeez, that’s almost like getting a smoothie or sundae at other places. Still, I must say their ice cream hit the spot on a warm and humid afternoon in Denver. We chilled outside, passing the time and reading the paper before making it to the Hyatt’s lounge, which opened at 4. No pressure to leave(even though we sat there for almost 90 minutes); just a delightful afternoon of ice cream, catching up on the news, and booze to follow…

Yesterday was a full moon. It actually was, so I can attribute the fact that it was like 85 degrees out and I wanted a bowl of chili con carne! Why on earth is it that when it is cold out people buy frozen deserts? Full moons! Same phenom! So, I was kicking shopping A** at Ross, got the«I have to eat in 3 min or less or there is gonna be a victim!» notice from my stomach, and realized that Suzy-Q-Frozen Yogurt was right there! How amazingly conjunct! Full moon, overwhelming urge to eat red chili, and proximity to some really decent bowl! I got the half sandwich and a bowl combo, the half sand is closer to ¾’s of a sandwich, and was just the right amount of food. Far fresher than any chain, and the ladies there are just sweet as can be! Go give them some business when you are there, but avoid peak lunch rush if you can, it’ll spare you a wait. Also they have 4 patio tables that are great for eating and people watching, or free WIFI.

What a great locally owned deli in the middle of a bunch of franchised shops. The owner is always there and friendly when I stop by for lunch. Now they serve tart yogurt along with Liks ice cream.

Suzy-Q is one of the best sandwich places on the 16th street mall in my book. The prices are low, especially compared to other similar places nearby. The sandwich suggestions they have are excellent. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. Yes, it is a little hole-in-the-wall style place, but once you get past that you will be surprised. They also have a frequent diner program, buy 10 get your next free. I have not tried the frozen yogurt yet though.

Suzy-Q is a decent sandwich shop in the middle of downtown. They have traditional sandwiches and healthier wraps as well as the ice cream and yogurt they are named for. While I wouldn’t say there is anything special here there isn’t anything wrong either. If you’re downtown looking for a quick, non-fancy bite, Suzy-Q’s could be the place for you. One thing I thought was cute was their idea of a «lunch box» that comes with a sandwich, chips, side and piece of gum. It was the stick of gum that got me. How cool that they give you a way to refresh your breath before going back to work after lunch!

My friend and I mostly frequent Suzy Q’s because it’s a lot easier than going to liks itself. The sandwiches are decent, but a little pricey and we’ve generally gotten pretty slow service even when there are only three customers in the whole shop. They lost a star because of the slow service and also the questionable sanitation accident that we witnessed while we were there last.(it was the attendant’s fault)

Four stars to the two hard working women(owners?) I see in this shop every time I come in. Also 4 stars to their awesome lunch combo, all for $ 5!!. I get a half sandwich and cup of chili and I’m set! One thing, one of their workers almost always appears to be smoking somthing… but other than that, how can you beat a $ 5 lunch? Oh and their sandwiches come with everything, I mean everything. Cucumbers, tomatoes, sprouts. Totally delish.

Not just a frozen yogurt shop. Suzy Q’s does quite well selling decent sandwiches and Lik’s Ice Cream too.
