Love this coffee shop! The Baristas are great and really sweet! The lattes, cappuccinos and mochas are fabulous! I am a coffee snob and I love the coffee they use!

Great latte and pastry! The location is good but the building is small and gets very crowded. I was here on a weekday and it was jam packed. Service is awesome and welcoming. I really enjoyed my espresso drink made just right.

Great coffee. Great pastries. Very nice place. Cortado was memorable. Well made, and outstanding espresso. The coffee had a good bittersweet chocolate note which I really enjoyed. Danish was very big… maybe a little pricey, but nice.

Steam is a gem within Denver. I’m a lover of coffee shops, and this one has become my all-time favorite to visit. Not only is the coffee amazing, but the staff is always friendly, helpful, and they seem to genuinely enjoy the conversations they have with their customers. The atmosphere in Steam is also something I find very special. To me, it always feels very warm and inviting, and gives me a feeling of being at home; which is probably why so many people can easily spend hours inside reading, working, or just talking with their friends. It’s also beautiful inside. You can easily tell that the owner has spent a lot of time and money finding each piece. I recently purchased some of their coffee beans, specifically their Stella batch, and it’s phenomenal. On the days that I unfortunately cannot make it into Steam, I’ll make my own mocha at home using their coffee. Overall, everything about this place is amazing! Once you go to Steam, it’ll quickly become your favorite coffee shop in Denver, I promise!

Consistently great drinks! I was overjoyed when I recently moved to discover that my favorite coffee shop(Steam, duh) is now so close to me! The baristas are all super friendly and craft delicious drinks using Boxcar product. I haven’t tried their pastries, but they always look very enticing in the case. I highly recommend Steam for their clean, beautiful shop, friendly employees, and excellent drinks!

First time customer. I enjoyed Steam. The ambience and structure were excellent. It seems to be a great place to meet(small groups – no large meeting rooms, from what I saw). There were also a good deal of people studying or working on laptops. Coffee-wise, it was pretty good. I enjoy good coffee(aero-press, pour over, etc.). The brew bar was good – Chemex but not the normal filter(they use a permanent/reusable cone filter that allows more of the coffee oils to pass through); however, they only had one choice of beans. They were good but would be nice to have variety. But this is an espresso bar primarily – not a brew bar. So I may have unrealistic expectations regarding that. I didn’t have any of their espresso, but I also don’t know that much about espresso either since I’m more into the brewing side of coffee. Overall, great place.

My roommate and I drove from Boulder to try it! And it was worth the drive. The service, coffee and atmosphere was exactly what we had hoped for. I had the mocha and apple croissant and they were both delicious!

Very good. Impressed with friendly service, well made coffee drinks. Had orange blossom cake, amazing, so light and scrumptious. Great neighborhood coffee shop.

I visit Denver about 1 – 2 times a year, and this place is very close to my friend that I was visiting. Steam is a great neighborhood coffee shop. Very clean and well-thought out space. Lot of details were considered when they put this place together. There are comfy seats and tables of different heights. They have a reserved set of seats for chilling out short timers(no laptops, 30 min max). They have ample interior and exterior seating — and even 4 seats at the coffee bar. There are two garage door windows that can open when the sun warms up. They have good lighting for cloudy days and after the sun sets. During particular sunny days, their windows have nice blinds to soften the glare. The baristas are friendly and know how to make coffee. Service seems to be a common theme here from the other reviews I’ve read. I’m here to say they were all right. The only thing that I can knock them on is their wifi. It is pretty awful. I could only muster about 1MB down — even with a handful of other patrons. It would seem the shop was set up for remote workers — so overlooking this facet surprises me. Edit: I just realized they are only open until 5pm — which is too bad as I would think this would be a great place for students to study at.

Excellent espresso, nice staff, and a very open and friendly space. Really enjoyed the flavor of their coffee. Their traditional chai is very tasty — I recommend it «dirty» with a shot or two of espresso!

Excellent coffee and espresso! The lemon cake was phenomenal. The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting; I wish I had more time to hang out there. Staff is friendly and responsive. Very genuine, polite people. Highly recommend this place and would go back again when I’m in the area. One note: fix your lid situation with the to-go cups. Don’t send me out into the world with a fully loaded cup of cold-brew coffee without a lid… it’s just mean.

loved this wonderful coffee shop serving boxcar coffee! firstly, i love the ambiance– super soothing and filler with light. yes hipstery haha. we ordered a latte and a little carrot raisin cake. took that outside to their outdoor seating area. we enjoyed listening to live music — a harpist playing romantic songs for the café. latte was done well, strong and bold and rich. it paired well with the little cake we had(albeit the cake was greasier than i liked). don’t miss the interesting airplane relic on the outside.

Macaroons and chai… So good. Very good. Seating is indoor or out. The staff is super friendly! Now the food. Chai has a good amount of spice and they give you a good size cup. Smells wonderful! Creamy… Love the macaroons here. The flavors are awesome. Salted caramel here I come!

Been here more times than I can count. Friendly staff, delicious coffee, sweet patio, and great location. What more could you want? My favorite — the iced coffee. yum!

This is really good coffee, we went back twice during a short visit. I had an iced Mocha the 1st trip. The flavor was good, but the last sips were undrinkable due to the chalky chocolate shaving at the bottom. Normally I wouldn’t be opposed to chocolate at the bottom of my glass, but these were disgusting. I tried to dissolve them, but they stayed solid. My Americano the next go around was perfect. The staff was extremely friendly.

I absolutely love steam. We come here all the time. There are plenty of outlets to do work on laptops. I love the décor, even the bathrooms are well done. Great outdoor seating, perfect for warm days. I am not a coffee drinker– but everyone who is raves about the coffee. The baristas look like scientists when they do the pour overs, I love it. My favorite is the almond milk chai– it is to die for! Yummmm!

No frills, traditional coffee house… in the best way possible. Like others have said, if you’re looking for drinks that trendy coffee places have made popular, keep walking. They have espresso, teas, lattes and pretty much just simple things. Staff is super friendly and my latte came out quickly, made to perfection. While this place is pretty no frills with barely any color in the building and uncomfortable seats, it’s a bit too hipster for my taste so this won’t be my new go to place but I wouldn’t be opposed to coming here if I was in the South Pearl area.

Besides a great cup of latte the plane outside is fascinating. I guess I should have taken my cup outside and checked it out more It’s a great place for chats with Friends. Not a bad place hang out while working either. I will go back by myself or I might bring along a pal or two

Somewhat over-rated: A concrete slab with hipsters in suspenders and caps making you expensive but cute little cups of high dollar joe. I give them credit –this little coffee shop has been open a few years and is always packed and doing well. They sell a specific brand of espresso product to a specific brand of people and if you are one of those people you would love love love Steam. I’m a slightly bigger fan of both Corvus Roasters, who sells a very similar product, and Stellas down the street which is the original granddaddy of the coffee store concept.

Nice neighborhood spot. The atmosphere in here is really in tune with what most people look for in a coffee shop. A place to relax, spend time, and enjoy a friendly staff. I tried something new, which turned out to be pretty good. Spicy Chai. Not your regular spice, but a little extra. DT
