Despite how close this is to my house, I rarely frequent it. It is located in the strip mall across from campus and shares a parking lot with Burger King. I prefer either heading to a locally owned coffee shop(for way better coffee) or going to the drive thru sbux located two blocks away. BUT. if you MUST have a starbucks that has space for you to plug into your laptop and you’re here, you’ll get the service you expect out of a starbucks. the location means that there are sometimes sketchy people(yes, I suppose I do mean people who seem like they might be homeless. I feel for them, and I know they have a right to caffeine too… and as a single woman, it can feel less safe). Seems like a trait shared for all the Sbux located on Colfax.

This is the WORST Starbucks in America. Don’t waste either your money or time! I walked in to a long line waiting for me, and all I wanted was a venti mocha. I go to use their restroom, it’s locked. Upon asking to be let in, I was told by the male employee at register that he’s «only here to take my money» and there’s no bathroom available at this location. I asked him if he was joking and told him i had to use a restroom badly. He and the store manager both started laughing at me and I would never recommend this location to anyone. WHO would drink coffee there if there’s «no bathroom in the location», according to their rude, lazy staff working there on 9÷9÷15, at 9:00 am in the morning, and the unprofessional manager in charge.

My job is actually 30 min away from this Starbucks, but I love coming here regardless of the distance. The staff is friendly and amazing.

Just like every other Starbucks, and not a bad location since you can stop by on your way into the heart of downtown from the highway, but you might find it entertaining to see how certain people might dress when they come to this specific one. It was 10am and these two women walk in dressed in full leopard and zebra print skin tight jumpsuits. It was like watching urban animal planet but in slow motion. I’m not judging, wear what you like, but that sort of stuff tends to attract negative attention, as I observed every other patron first look, then snicker, and even a few pull their phones out to snap a picture. Staff was friendly and the place was generally clean, I mean you don’t really have to do that much cleaning up since everyone orders a cup of coffee and/or a pastry, no splattered fried chicken grease I could find in there.

This Starbucks used to be really poorly laid-out, but they have done a lot of renovations and it is so much better. The only thing I wish they had was more regular tables. There is this long high-top through the middle of the room that makes it awkward for two people to sit and chat while the line wraps around them.

I was instantly wondering about this place when I walked in and there was no one in there. What Starbucks does not have anyone in it during the morning hours? I ordered my usual drink and was disappointed on how long the process took. The baristas were fine, just not the top notch speed customary of Starbucks. I am hoping I caught them on an off day, as the other reviews seem to be more positive.

This is my «usual» Starbucks since it was close to class(when I was a student) and close to work(for what time I have left at my current job). This ‘Bux sticks out mostly because it serves the population of the Auraria Campus. During mid-terms and finals, many a student AND faculty/staff can be found here lined up for a Red Eye or Frappucinno for that kick to get ‘em through. I don’t go super often, but when I do I’ve noticed they’ve got their system down pretty well. If there ever is a line, it moves quickly and drinks are put out in relatively short order. The staff is always friendly. I’m sure they see a lot of regulars and I’ve witnessed them addressing them by name and/or drink, so that’s cool. I’ve only been in the bathroom once and I think it was clean. The store is pretty clean overall, even during a rush it’s not bad. The only thing I’m not a fan of is getting hit up for change on my way out the door. I know that’s not fault of Starbucks of its employees, just an unfortunate drawback of this particular location. Also, getting in and out of the parking lot can be a challenge during peak times(9-ish, noonish, and 5ish). Still, I’ll know it as ol’ reliable if I’m ever in the area once I’ve moved on from Auraria.

This is the Starbucks located across the street from the Colfax at Auraria station. There are some nice workers here, helping us students out. Oh, and a couple of workstation areas too for some productivity. The only gripe I have here is the store hours, I bet they could be longer, especially for the studious lifestyle at Auraria. But given that the location is along a less fancy area of Colfax, makes sense.
