DON’T WASTEYOURTIMEANDMONEYWITHSTARFLOORS. I’m not typically one for reporting bad business experiences, but with a price tag around $ 8,000, I’d love to keep others from wasting their money. Recently hired StarFloors(CR Chamber Member) to replace the carpet and tile in my home. The tile went in smoothly and the nightmare began. I’ll save you all the details, but let’s just say that a two-day job ran over two months, required nine visits, several no-call/no-shows, two misplaced product orders and a complete rework of the upstairs. Their own contractors won’t recommend working with them. Had to contact the corporate office to get things finished and they only offered amends at my request. They took $ 250 off my final order. Utterly ridiculous.

Stay away! These people were selected by my realtor and have done a terrible job! They are late, they said that they had the tile I selected and then didn’t. During the job in a bathroom they broke the top to the toilet tank and then tried to hide it. They still aren’t finished with the final piece of the job, vinyl flooring in a laundry room. I’m about to fire them, I’m sorry I didn’t see this on Unilocal before giving them the job! found out about these ripoff artists in less than ten seconds!

Unreliable, unresponsive, unprofessional! Do NOT hire this company!!! This company acted as general contractor for a home rehab, overcharged by well over 25% and work was poor, was not done in a timely manner, and they didn’t bother responding to calls or emails and the work still has yet to be done! It’s been weeks and weeks, and though they were quick to charge me, there is still no flooring installed and no one will answer as to when it might be done. Ridiculous. The work that has been done looks terrible. How hard is it to paint a wall? We ended up having to do most of the work ourselves, even though we have them over $ 11,000!!! They are full of excuses when they graced me with a return phone call, but again, it’s been over 6 weeks since we were charged without the work being done. The contractors were liars and nothing has been as promised.

I would have given them zero stars if it was a possibility. The salesman brought us one sample of different colors of carpet. It was difficult to compare, but looked better than the other samples I had received. The quote was incorrect and didn’t include the matching edging for the vinyl and the company refused to fix the problem. We were told that installation would take 2 days. In the end it took more than two months. Workmen used our garden tools without asking and cut the carpeting in our driveway. They also lied and said they talk to one of us to schedule the second time to come out and work on the carpet. After the second day, the workmanship was terrible. Carpet was not cut all the way to the wall. It was not rolled under where it should have been, and there were seams where there should not have had any. The vinyl was not in a straight line, and roofing nails were used in the strips between vinyl and carpeting. The vinyl in the bathroom was caulked with bright white, though there is nothing in the bathroom which was white. They also damaged the woodwork and chipped paint in room which were painted just before carpet installation. Workmen came out a third time and were hurried by their owner, so he could catch their flight. They wanted to come out again, but after the third attempt we refused to have them in our house again. They took off about 10% and charged us for balance of the job after the first attempt at installation without completing the job. They refused to wait for payment until it was done and did not reverse the charge. Overall, terrible quality product and workmanship.
