It is very rare to get«fast food» here. Every single time I’m in line a minimum of 15 minutes! No joke. This time, I’ve been waiting just under half hour just to end up switching from drive in spot to drive thru to finally have my order taken. I love the fact that they sell their ice by the bag but the amount of time I’ve waited for a bag of ice and a cheeseburger is just ridiculous! I tip well. I’m polite. I receive decent service. I just cannot stand the wait times.

This place wasn’t very clean. We used the patio and it was plain nasty! It also took forever to get our order; the server was very nice. Said they were understaffed. Also, restroom wasn’t useable.. I wouldn’t go to this location again.

I hate to give Sonic such a low review b/c all of their drinks and food are great! But waiting 20 minutes at a stall for a Rt. 44 water with lemon and 2 bags of ice is absolutely ridiculous! And also, they wouldn’t sell me bags of ice on the weekend when I came, so I had to come back today! Get it together Sonic!

Don’t even want to award one star but it seems as though I have to, worst sonic experience ever just now at the broadway and vassar location. Probably bad enough that I won’t be back to sonic until I’m back in Oklahoma. Liquid slushie raw corn dog Unmelted cheese sticks Gross.

First visit was late 11:30 pm and they had placed a garbage can in front of the drive through to ward off customers even though they don’t close until midnight. All the workers were hanging out on the tables in front. Second visit I waited 35 minutes to get my food.(1 Burger and a cone). When I got the burger it was actually cold and the ice cream cone was melting all over. Not sure what the hang up was. I did only see one server so maybe understaffed? There is no good time of day to go here unfortunately.

Sad day when your local Sonic is so poorly managed you can’t even muster a 2 star review. We’ve given this store multiple tries hoping it would get better but it hasn’t. The lack of customer service is just infuriating. We’ve waited multiple times for 20+ minutes to receive just drinks! Seriously makes me question what’s going on in the kitchen and how this place is ran if they can’t even get their drink orders done efficiently. 1 sad star for this Sonic, please corporate Sonic do something!

First they said the drive thru was closed… so we go to the stall. Seriously my boyfriend and I waited over 10 minutes for two coke slushies… we pushed the button again to see how long it would be and they completely ignored us so we just left. Fucking worthless. If you can’t work in fast food, what can you do?

This Sonic is horrible. Never get the food here. But I thought maybe they can’t mess up the ice cream desserts right. I’m in the middle of eating a Banana Bo Bana blast and it taste like a melted milk shake. Only found one pie piece so far and I’m half way finished. The bananas are doing fine swimming in meltyness. It cost me $ 4.32 for a small! Just keep telling myself this is a milk shake milk shake milk shake…

The only reason I’m giving this store 4 stars is because the lack of staff. The staff who were there were incredibly friendly and didn’t let their stress ruin their work ethic with how busy they were. The lady who took my order was running the store as well and she was amazing! This girl needs a raise totally!!! She rocked it with her and the other 2 employees in the store! She will be the reason I return to the store! I’m just upset I didn’t get her name because she was awesome!!!

I have given this sonic several chances, and have finally given up. The service is terrible and extremely slow and the employees are careless with your order. First visit here: the drive through line is super long and moving at a snails pace. Because I’m in a bit of a hurry I stop in a stall. It takes a good 6 min or so before anyone answers to take my order. 15 min later I have still not received my drink, and I realize it would have been faster to stay in the drive through. I finally get my drink and the girl who brought it for me didn’t bring me a straw. I ask for one and she says she will be right back with it. After waiting another 5 minutes I just left and grabbed a straw from a gas station up the street. Second visit: I go through the drive through and order a medium diet cherry limeade. I am encouraged to order a large because its happy hour so I agree. I verify with the employee who hands me my drink that it is, indeed, diet as I am type 1 diabetic and consuming more than a few sips of non diet soda is incredibly dangerous for me. I leave, consume my large drink, and realize shortly after that they made a mistake and gave me a regular cherry limeade. My blood sugars were 5 – 6 times what they should be, my day was ruined and I’m lucky I was able to bring my sugars down without going to the hospital. Third visit: I am on bike so I go to the walk up order thing. I press the button. It blinks saying someone will be with me shortly, then times out. I press it again. Again it times out. One more time and I’m ready to leave when someone finally answers. I ask for my usual, medium diet cherry limeade. Total was $ 0.96(I love happy hour) and the drink arrives quickly enough. I give the man a dollar and he hands me a grossly over flowing drink with pink soda spilling all down the sides. I ask for some napkins and he leaves to get me some. Several minutes later comes back with napkins, helps a few other people and then says to me «oh, did you want change for your dollar?» Now, I’m not picky over 4 cents but I find it rude that change wasn’t offered to me in the first place. I’ve given this place 3 chances and I don’t think it will get any more from me.

Super busy on Saturday afternoon. Drive-thru line was wrapped around the building so we chose a drive-in spot. Happy Hour of course. Upon pushing he order button, we were pleasantly greeting within about 30 seconds. The speed was keen, as was the guys attitude who greeted us. Simple order, 3 slushes and we were all set to go in about 4 minutes. That may seem long for just a few drinks, but considers how busy it was, me and my 3 little girls were content.

Waited 5 minutes after pressing the button to be waited on. And then after 10 minutes without so much as seeing a car hop stroll out to any of the other 4 – 6 cars there I left. I went back about a week later(this time thru the Drive thru) and the lady that took our order kept cutting me off during the order and was just awful to deal with. the employees here are just nasty to deal with. I’m not asking for instant service, amazing food or 5 star service. But if I could have already had real food delivered at a nice sit down restaurant that’s just way to long. I know no one driving thru town or even up the street pays attention to reviews before pulling into a fast food place but perhaps my fellow locals /corporate will and this awful management can be addressed

You pretty much know what to expect from Sonic food. Mediocre, greasy, etc. I don’t eat fast food really, so I can’t comment on this locations standards but I do love cherry limeades. However, I don’t love cherry limeades enough to wait 15 minutes in a drive thru for one. This has to be the slowest Sonic I have ever been to.

A trip through the Sonic Drive through has always been about one of two things for me — the Route 44 diet cherry limeades or the tater tots. If I had to pick between the two, it would really have to be the tots that would win my heart. Hands down. I love me some tots. I like them plain. I like them dipped in ketchup(catsup?) or ranch dressing. I especially like them covered in chili and grated bright orange American cheese. All right, truth time, here. Raise your right hand if you feel like you’re too grown up to be enjoying a childhood classic like the tot. Not me! There’s just something about the tater tot that convinces you that it is superior to the french fry, the hash brown, or the cowboy potatoes. I can’t even say that it truly DOES taste better, I just know that I FEEL like it tastes better, and isn’t that what counts? I’m not even from Denver, I was only visiting here for a quick weekend trip, and was honestly just pulling through the drive through to get one of their famous cherry limeades on the way to the airport headed home to California. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that they had SWEETPOTATOTOTS! OMG! Sweet potatoes are one of my all time favorite things on earth, so I HAD to try some of these beauties. Yes, they were truly amazing, these little bites of heaven ready to be popped into one’s mouth! It was my classic tot, but with a little sweet twist to them that was just perfection! When I got home I discovered they’ve arrived here now, too. How could I have missed their arrival? Not a clue, but I’ll always remember this particular Denver based Sonic as being the one to introduce us. Take that, Napolean Dynomite! Put those in your cargo pants pocket and chew on them!

It’s fast food. It’s mediocre fast food. That said, I’ve been known to get my chili cheese tot on in the past. And their hot fudge sundaes are decent if the craving hits you at 11pm, like it did the other night… more on that in a sec. This Sonic is consistently slow. Slower than slow even. Recently it took 12 minutes(yes I timed it) for my order of a diet cherry limemade to get to me. Sure it was Happy Hour, but there weren’t *that* many cars parked or in the drive thru. However what takes the cake was over this past weekend when I came for a hot fudge sundae. I drove up to the parking spot and pressed the shiny, red button… Server: Welcome to Sonic, may I take your order? Me: Yes, I’ll have a hot fudge sundae with nuts and a cup of water please? Server: That was a hot fudge sundae with nuts and a cup of water? Anything else? Me: No, that’s it. Server: Total is $ 2.96, we’ll have that right out. Me: Thanks. Then it hits me, $ 2.96? A sundae is $ 1.99! I’m no mathematician but the taxes can’t be that high! So I press the button again. Server: Welcome to Sonic, may I take your order? Me: It’s just me again, I thought sundaes were $ 1.99? How does my order come to $ 2.96? Server: We charge .75 cents for the water. Me: For *tap* water, you’re charging me .75 cents? Server: well it’s for the cup… Me: A cup shouldn’t cost me THAT much, especially since I’m buying food. Just cancel my whole order please. Server: So you want the *whole* order canceled? Me: Yes please. And I drove off, I didn’t need the 530 calorie sundae anyway. While I understand the economy isn’t what it used to be, this IS Sonic, I don’t think they’re doing so poorly that they need to charge .75 cents for a cup of water. I actually also called corporate and complained to them about this and they were totally unapologetic. In the future, I’ll choose other crappy fast food selections over them.
