Amazing meatballs!!! As a gluten free and dairy free person, I can still come here and enjoy a meatball sandwich on delicious gluten free bread with chicken meatballs(the only meatballs that are dairy free) and some yummy toppings. My favorite combo is care listed onions and apples. The homemade chips are also super tasty!!!

My wife and I went here for the first time one night after work. I should have known our meal wasn’t going to be life changing from the get-go since we were the only people in the restaurant during peak dinner hours. Despite the post-rapture feel, we decided to stick with our dinner plan, because how can you pass up a place known for its«iconic meatballs»? I ordered the«Pepper Delight», and my wife built her own pasta with pesto, parmesean cheese, red pepper flakes, and chicken meatballs. When we got our meal, we were both a bit shocked by the portion size. With a 20-dollar tab for just the two pastas, I’d expect to get more than a lunchtime-sized portion. We held out hope that the meatballs were going to be something straight out of Little Italy. After a few bites, I could see we were both feeling the same way: unimpressed. The meatballs were really dry. Nothing special and definitely not«iconic.» Also, the pesto and peppers didn’t seem to mix too well in my pasta. While my meal was edible, it was not worth the price I paid, and I won’t be visiting again.

*sigh* If your specialty is meatballs, they should be dang good meatballs. They were unfortunately not. All of them were pulverized meat and overcooked and just not flavorful. The sauces were actually excellent, but you have to smother the meatballs in them to make them better. The veggie one also fell right apart and was weirdly grainy yet mushy. The beef meatballs were the better of all 5 choices. They actually had some flavor and chewy texture. My fellow diner got a meatball sandwich and the bread was really good, so there’s that. Again… meh. Too many other amazing restaurants to spend your money on in Denver! Oh, and, important: They lost their liquor license or something as they were taking down the display of beer and wine and said they could not serve it.

A meatball place for a primal/paleo/keto girl? Sign me up! I LOVE this place! It’s a hidden gem and I seriously don’t want anyone else finding out about it LOL. But seriously, let’s do this. They have sandwiches, pastas, salads, a ton of gluten free options and amazing meatballs! Portion sizes are ONPOINT so you get a good amount without being forced to take a bunch of half eaten food home. And speaking of home, you can dine in or take out. I think they have delivery options too… Hmmmm, meatballs delivered to my door… yes please! The space is big and modern looking and clean and all of their dinnerware is recyclable! What a great thing! The people working the counter have always been friendly and the food comes out quickly, but not too quickly. The flavors are deep and interesting and some of the flavor combinations are to die for. You really need to get in here and try it! It’s located in a bigger shopping center(near King Soopers) so parking is ample which is good. Perfect pricing, beautiful flavors and good for the environment(and your tummy) is a win-win-win for me! Slotted Spoon… my new favorite!

Really great food, interesting options. The sides and sauces are top notch, I recommend the meatball sampler and Brussels sprouts.

Can I give this place a 3 ½ stars? I liked it enough that I’ll probably go back(which is how I really measure the restaurant: 3 stars and below will not return, 4 and 5 stars definitely a repeat restaurant). Anyway, everything on the menu has something to do with meat balls. They have various types of meatballs, I had the beef meatball and it was good. I tried the philly sandwich and I really like the roasted red peppers and cams liked onions that they put on top. The bun that they used ripped to shreds the top of my mouth but still was good. The cheese they had on it was really good as well, almost like a cheese wiz. The other thing I liked about it was that they use Coke products there rather than Pepsi. CO is definitely a Pepsi market so whenever I go to a restaurant that offers Coke products in happy. Lastly, the location is in a strip mall like area and I really liked the ambiance.

We went there because they were known for their meatballs… We tried the veggie meatball and beef meatball. It wasn’t anything special about it. We ordered the Mac and cheese with the beef meatball, first of all the cheese was very strong after a few bites was a little too much for me. The meatball tasted like any other meatball you can at other places. I got a pesto almond salad with veggie meatballs. The salad itself was alright, I felt like it was not very flavorful. The veggie meatball wasn’t good at all. They made it with too much flour and the seasoning was a little weird. I Wouldn’t recommend going there just for the meatballs! The place was pretty nice and clean. Kind of reminds me of chipotles style.

Awesome meatballs. Haven’t had the salmon or veggie meatballs, but the others are great. Good price for what you pay for. Only complaint is that I paid close to $ 3 for a slice of garlic bread(the top of a sandwich bun) with some cheese on it. Probably cost them $ 0.50 to make at most and they overcharge you for it. Maybe if it was like some artisanal bread and cheese from the north regions of Italy– but it simply isn’t that. Rather dry too. Anyway, don’t let their lack garlic bread game keep you from tying them out. Their meatballs are delicious.

If I could eat here everyday, I would. These meatballs are INCREDIBLE! My husband and I stopped here with his parents who were visiting from Florida(who are also pretty picky when it come to food) and everyone left happy! I love all of the different choices of sandwiches, and I saw a few people order the pasta dishes which looked incredible. If you haven’t yet, you need to try this place!

We came in the staff wasn’t that friendly. We told them twice that it was our first time visiting this place and asked them what’s good? No answer. Instead the guy changed the topic to the shirt my bf was wearing. So I asked again what’s good here? No answer again. So we just got what sounded good. I got the ss mac cheese plate and it was grows. If your craving pasta go somewhere else

The Havana meatball sandwich was incredible! I have had the Sonoran and Grinder before and loved those options as well. The meatballs are never overcooked and the customs toppings pair well with all their options. They had an issue with CC machine so instead of running the order again, they paid for it on the house. I pleaded with them to take some form of pavement but they refused. I can’t wait to go back!

I feel like I need to go back here because my dinner guest and I only made ONE joke about balls the entire meal. If you know me at all, that’s a feat nothing short of a miracle. My guess is that it had something to do with the fact that I was eating ONEOFTHEBESTGODDAMNEDSANDWICHESOFMYLIFE. I had no time to think of ball jokes, all I could do was enjoy my delicious food. I had the Havana: pork meatballs, bacon, sweet mustard, garlic mayo, and provolone(I skipped the relish). Everything was perfect. Unfortunately, I was so full from the sandwich that I didn’t get to try the side of slaw I had. Now I have a ton of reasons to go back again: to try the slaw, to try a different menu item, and to make at least several more balls jokes during the meal.

Excellent and delicious. I’ll be returning. Totally paleo and gluten-free friendly. Great atmosphere. Came here with a friend and we both loved it. I’m very particular with food and food quality and I’ll be returning.

Well shit… literally. Two of my friends got sick eating here. Like pull over the car cause something’s coming out sick. Another friend and I got the salmon — we didn’t get sick, but the food was just okay… definitely not worth the risk though. Besides the lackluster food and, well, food poisoning, other issues include broken WiFi, a failure to communicate that only certain sides are included with the sandwich, and an uncomfortableness that comes with being watched while eating(we were the only customers). Never again.

I wasn’t sure what this place was all about when my friend suggested it. For some reason I had thought it to be a buffet line type of place, but what I found was nothing of the sort. What they really have is a series of sandwiches, salads and bowls that are based around their different types of meatballs. I tried the salmon balls(snicker) on a sandwich called the Sonora. Chipotle ranch, bacon, and sauteed onions with the smokiness of the salmon was outstanding. My friend had the Kabob sandwich with beef balls(snicker) and a really lovely basil pesto and tzatziki sauce and cucumbers. I am impressed with their eye on healthy options. The staff was also very friendly and open to my questions. I am sure to be back.

I had read about this place on Unilocal and sometimes a girl just wants a meatball or in this case three! I was craving meatballs, blame it on knowing this place existed or the fact that I really just had meatballs on my mind, either way it was going to happen. I made the little trek to Slotted Spoon and ordered a Meatball Sandwich with a side of pesto pasta salad. I thought the Sandwich was average. Like a lot of fast causal places, I think it’s more about the toppings than the actual protein or in this case, the meatball. It was a good, the flavors worked well together, and the bread to meat ratio was excellent(easier said than done). I found the meatball to be dry, it felt overworked and lacked moisture, that’s probably the reason for all the toppings — to add moisture. It was a completely adequate lunch but definitely did not satisfy my craving for meatballs(sadness). If I was in the area again and was considering my lunch options I would think of Slotted Spoon but would likely try something else. For those people with kids, I can see Slotted Spoon working well and satisfying the entire family with very few issues. I know sometimes kids can be picky eaters, Slotted Spoon would for sure keep all the kids happy and sometimes that’s all a parent is looking for — a happy kid.

I do not know how my husband and I had never heard of this place but as soon as I came across it last week, we knew we had to try it out. We loved the meatball concept and there seemed to be something on the menu to please any taste/mood we were in. Score! We headed over on Sunday and it was unexpectedly quiet inside. We ordered our food — Philly for him, Picnic for me – and grabbed a table in the sun. The space is very clean and neat, which I appreciate. Our food came and we were instantly impressed. Something about the honey jalapeño BBQ sauce wasn’t hitting my taste buds right, but just on certain bites, so I’m writing that off as my own weird problem. The chicken meatballs were incredible and the pesto pasta salad on the side was equally delicious.
I think it’s safe to say we’ll be back!

Had bookmarked this restaurant a while ago and finally was able to pop in to try it out. Came with a friend on a Saturday and ~3 for a late lunch. I enjoyed the layout and décor. The menu is big and easy to read and our server was most helpful with suggestions and info on the dishes. I went for the philly sandwich with the pesto pasta salad, and my friend had the ss mac. We had a short wait before our food was brought out to us. I got the large sandwich size and should have stuck with the small. Everything was very good though and I enjoyed the kick from the queso. I greatly enjoyed the pasta salad as it was well prepared and the almonds were a nice addition. My friend loves mac and cheese and was very pleased with her choice. She outlined as well that she had more than enough food. Overall, we had a good visit and enjoyed our meals. Prices were a bit higher than what I expected, though I also could have cut that down by going for a smaller portion size. When in the area, I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Unilocal to the rescue again! A friend and I were in search of a reasonable and yummy lunch spot near our summer workshop site. .. The Slotted Spoon met our need. The young man who took our order was friendly and knowledgable. The menu is a bit overwhelming, but with his help, we figured it out. My friend enjoyed a classic — Old School Pasta. For the price, about $ 9, the portion size seemed a little small. I chose two side orders — funky brussel sprouts and mac & cheese. All in all, a great lunch. Give it a try!
