Good venue, friendly & professional staff. If I lived here, I would hang out here.

I really want to like this place. The view is great. The table was not bussed well from the previous guest, so we had to ask twice for someone to come over and wipe down our table. My draft beer was warm. I asked the server about it and she said that all of the kegs were warm and offered to get me a bottled beer on the house, which was reasonably cold. The server recommended the fish and chips, so I went with it. The fish didn’t smell quite right and the cup of tarter sauce had obviously been sitting out a while before it was brought out. It really is a tragic situation because this place would rock if they would just get it together.

The food was surprisingly better than I was expecting. I got in to the hotel around 9:30 and was looking for something that wouldn’t be sodium overload. I didn’t have high hopes for this restaurant located at the top of hotel VQ. I picked the BBQ steak salad, and it was actually quite good. They were generous with the avocado and steak. The bartender was super nice and kept checking up on me to see if I was enjoying my meal. For the lazy, give them an extra $ 2 +18% gratuity, you can get your food delivered to your room. Id recommend going up there after dark, though, bc the view is phenom. Bar open til midnight, delivery til 10 pm.

Stayed at hotel for Av’s game. Got into town and went up stairs had a burger with onion rings. Very quick service and very good food. My only problem was the hours are 4−12pm when we returned from the game at 11:15 they were closed. I would expect to advertise your hours you will honor them. Especially on a game night. Views of Mile high and downtown are great. If you stay at the Hotel VQ it’s worth checking out.

First off, I would love to give this place less than one star, however, that’s the lowest I can go. So with that caveat here’s the story: I visited the skybox after a Bronco game with a friend. It was close and taxis were scarce. After some dining recommendations from a security guard we headed upstairs. The view is a pretty nice panoramic snapshot of Denver — I will give them that. Even though I hear they’ve renovated somewhat recently there’s no way the carpet in there is not from an 80s casino. So, based on the security guard’s suggestion we order a plate of nachos to start. While they were red & green chips there’s no way they could be from last Christmas. Right? They certainly tasted that way. Easily the worst nachos ever. We ordered a couple beers and a couple waters too. The beers arrived without issue. However, when the waiter set down the empty water glass something happened and a seemingly small amount of beer turned into a gusher and literally covered my friend from head to knee. About 5 minutes later they brought him a replacement beer and baby nachos. About another 10 minutes later our waiter came by and asked ‘You guys still good over here?’ Are you kidding me? My buddy was still soaked. Yeah, we’re great. Thanks for asking. At that juncture I figured, we’re in a hotel, let’s just get out of this environment and head to the lobby to finish our beers. So, we just got up and strikes toward the elevator. Surely they wouldn’t insist payment from my friend that was still wearing his beer. I was wrong. The little man in charge stepped right up and insisted that we pay for the beer. That my friend was still wearing. When countered with a dry cleaning few request he suddenly gave out beers back & ghosted. Clearly they are of the adversarial & avoidance school of management. It’s a shame that with that view every single other part of the experience totally and absolutely fails. But, I guess if you have a good enough location(and a captive audience) you don’t really need anything else.

I am definitely surprised by the relatively low rating this bar has. The views alone for me bump it up to 3 stars and then add on the cheap drinks and boom we got a nice little hang out if I do say so myself! Not sure if it was the buzz I had going from tailgating at the CSU/CU game, but I thought the experience was delightful. The wait staff was very accommodating for the 7+ people we brought and it felt very comfortable to watch the game and have a couple drinks with friends. Yes, the hotel and the accouterments were a tad on the dated side, but get over it and relax. It’s right next to Mile High, it has a beautiful view of the sky line of Denver and it’s large enough to have a big group mob on up there and have a good time. I highly recommend it and I would expect anyone to go enjoy themselves. Cocktails/beers ran around $ 5 which definitely doesn’t hurt quite as much as Peaks so try it out!

Stopped in here before to have a drink and just enjoy the spectacular view! The hotel and bar itself is a little dated and could definitely use a face lift. We were the only people in there at the time so I’m not sure if this place gets hectic, but i could see it being pretty popular before a Broncs game. The view itself won me over. I ended up ordering a small appetizer menu and was actually pretty amazed by it. I would definitely say if you’re visiting to pop in here just for the view of the skyline!

COMPLETELYTERRIBLE! My friend and I got in on a Saturday evening… maybe 5:30 p.m. Sign in front of entrance says to seat yourself. So we do, by the amazing window, beautiful views of downtown & cool to watch the cars whiz past on the highway. Thing is, we never get served. The bartender comes out from behind his wall to wipe down the bar, not sure if he should be serving us or not, but could at least alert someone else to our presence. We look down as he settles in at the end of the bar, by the door, talking to TWO waitresses. We wait a few minutes, deciding on drinks, chatting, looking at the view… nothing. Even if they were closing at 6 p.m.(which they don’t), we’re in before close and just wanted ONE drink for chrisssakes. We could have gone to the bar I guess, but that’s not really service and they should let us know if we will not be having a waiter. SAD, had such hopes for at least a pleasant experience.

Bleh. I hear other stuff is good, but don’t ever order the breakfast burrito. Soggy tortilla ruined everything. Apparently at Skybox, «easy on the cheese» means«slather that sucker in cheese, please.» On the plus side, the service was fast.

My sister and I decided to split an order of ribs and salad. The ribs were pretty good. They were meaty, but the sauce was not tasty. In contrast, I loved the honey grilled chicken salad. The sweet potato fries were also good. My parents shared a plate of cod. The cod was tasty, but the vegetables and rice that came with that dish were much tastier. In the end, my favorite dish of the night was the chicken salad. As a side note, when we first came in and were seated, our waiter came and asked us if we were ready. Somehow he misinterpreted my sister as saying«we’re just planning to sit and not order anything» instead of the more standard«we’d like to order eventually, but we’d like to look at the menu first.» In addition, the order of cod also came late, because it was put in as something else. This was silly, because our waiter had engaged in full conversation with us about the fish. Moral of the story: hopefully you don’t get a bad waiter.

Came here on a Friday night and the kitchen closed at 10pm so he had to hurry up and order. The view of elitches in front of downtown was incredible and we caught a short fire work show too! The food was extremely over priced but still good, $ 8 burger for $ 15. Expensive drinks and really slow staff, we stood at the bar for 10 min before being noticed, the bartender was out side smoking 13 floors below… It really does have a lot of potential.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Skybox Grill before a concert at the Mile High Stadium. Incredible view!!! I would love to come here again at sunset(or maybe sunrise) to get an awesome view of the city. Even so, the view is pretty great no matter what. I was here just for drinks and appetizers, but would like to come back for a real meal. The bar was fairly crowded and service was slow. The appetizer menu was a bit lacking and we ended up just having drinks. However, I took a look at the full menu and it looked pretty good. The food I saw looked great and smelled even better(I ended up eating stadium popcorn, not nearly as wonderful). Either way, this place might be worth it for the view alone.
