Wow. I’ve never heard of bacon jam before but I’m glad I tried it. The cheddar biscuit it was on was also amazing. We’re new to the area and until today have been disappointed in every place we’ve been out to eat. Denver needs more places like the Savory Plum!

I’ve been going to the Savory Plum since it opened back when I was in high school. Their cappuccinos are great and so is their coffee. The location is prime, although I’m sure they have been hit by the new Hwy 16. My favorite thing on the menu is the chai frappé and I recommend it. So glad that there is a locally owned café in Denver, since most of them have gone out of business. Give Savory Plum a try!

I have been coming here over a year and it is disappointing to see this place get worse and worse. A few months ago one of the clerks told me their baker had quit and that is where I believe it went downhill. This last experience was just bad. They left off my bacon jam biscuit which had been one of my all time favorites. When I called and told them, they said they were sorry and that they were all new. I drove back and got my biscuit with little acknowledgement that they messed up. When i brought it home, the biscuit was cold and did not taste like their regular cheddar biscuit(which i also used to love). This place was a great find when I first moved into the area and it is such a shame that it has just continuously gotten worse. It is now a place that I would not recommend.

The food is always delicious but the staff are pretty rude. They made us feel like we were an inconvenience for coming in. Don’t appreciate that. A smile goes a long way and it’s not that tedious of a gesture.

The food was great but the service was awful. Employees seemed truly miserable. The lady that took my order did not offer a smile or thank you. Once my order was complete she did not check on me once. When I approached the counter for a box she seemed extremely annoyed that I «bothered» her.

I’ll definitely be frequenting this place. The staff is friendly. All the food that I have had is amazing. The cakes are moist, probably the best cakes I have eaten. And the coffee beats Starbucks! My girlfriend even works at Starbucks and she agrees. I’m happy we found this place!

This is by far my guilty pleasure. The bacon jam is something I’ve never experienced before. Whether you get the biscuit or the panini, you won’t regret it. The doughnut muffin is also delicious! Just tried the pimento turkey bacon panini today and it was exceptional. In the future, I will pass on the Mac-and-Cheese. I’m in town visiting my sister and I’ve had something from here almost everyday! Looking forward to trying the rest of their menu. I haven’t had the chance to try their coffee yet but the chai frappé is tasty!

Not bad, the little Marshmallow Brownie bites are delic. I hit the wife a Carmel Sunday Cupcake so we’ll see. A bit tiny so hanging out could be a problem.

Great place to eat! Love the lunches, breakfasts, coffee, and baked goods. A regular stop for me, a picky consumer.

Impressed! I decided to stop by today for a to-go breakfast, I bought a doughnut muffin which I’m surprised isn’t more popular, It was unbelievable, even though I did not but it for myself, I had a taste and now I want everyone to try one! I bought a ham egg and cheese sandwich on what I was told was a biscuit for myself. It turned out to be on a cheese scone like biscuit and was probably the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. It is not on my way to anything, but I will make sure to go out of my way to go back!

I stopped in for dinner last week and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was great and the staff was friendly. I ordered the veggie panini and it was delicious. Great sandwich for a great price. Loaded with veggies. My husband got the turkey and pimento cheese panini. Lots of turkey and the pimento cheese was DELICIOUS! We also had their potato salad, it was a large helping for a good price but it was not the best. It had more of an herb flavor than normal potato salad. They are known for their baked goods and we will definitely check those out next time.

I rarely reference others reviews in my own, but since there are only two… methinks Vicky is way off in her assessment. I have been to the SP a number of times over the past 6 months. The first thing that impressed me was not just the concept and options(Lindsay is right about an upscale Dilworth café… definitely higher end execution of solid menu items), but the quality has always been VERY much there. The attention to detail is evident. Their pastries are exceptionally fresh and creative… pleasing to the eye and even more pleasing to the palate. Everything is baked daily or prepared to order on premises, not unloaded off the back of a Sysco truck. The lunch menu goes well beyond the typical Denver fare. The menu features a very interesting take on pretty regular favorites. Salads, soups, paninis… all with just enough creative flare to make them a great option when you’re tired of the slop you are often relegated to on this side of the lake. They have nice seating, intimate and cozy for a small storefront space. Wi-fi…and now wine! They are even planning to offer some dinner items. They run a very much needed and appreciated specialty café/bakery that elevates culinary fare beyond anything you might find in this immediate area(A boon for us!). I would not hesitate for second to utilize them for catering, or to provide very special treats or lunches at important meetings where you’re trying to impress. And honestly, if you’re even just driving by, this is THE place to stop for a hot coffee, espresso and one of their amazing scones(on one day alone they had Chocolate Cherry, Cocont Cream, Caramel Toffee and Apple Cinammon… and these were just their scones!!) Try and find that anywere near here! You would be hard pressed to find a better lunch option anywhere and given what they offer, the prices are quite reasonable. BTW — the staff are very pleasant and courteous every time! Listen, if Dunkin Donuts and Subway is what you want, this place is beyond your palate and understanding. Bottom line: don’t wait… go here!

This is an interesting concept in an area that could support it, but I feel the food quality doesn’t justify the pricing and I was disappointed. I ordered a «to go» order of a «full» roast pork panini and two desserts. I recognize the definition of «panini» doesn’t automatically mean some exotic bread, but I did expect more than tough, over-toasted, sandwich bread. The ridges were so hard and tough that it resembled corrugated cardboard… I’ve never eaten cardboard, but I imagine the taste would be similar, too. I also expected a bit larger portion. This«full» sandwich was exactly the same size as a sandwich you’d make at home with supermarket bread. The sandwich was over $ 6(closer to $ 7) with no sides. Likewise the pork was much too tough for a sandwich. My teeth couldn’t bite through the meat and so I was left tugging it out and then trying to cut or bite it. Any meat served on a sandwich should be tender enough to easily bite through. The sandwich smelled delicious and the roast pork was seasoned nicely. The two desserts I ordered – a banana split cupcake, and a coconut bar – while very pretty, were disappointing. Both were extremely dry, both were made with a coarse, heavy, tasteless batter. The frosting on the cupcake was grainy and too sweet to support whatever flavoring was there. The topping on the coconut bar was so dry, it was crunchy. Both desserts tasted stale. They both ended up in the trash. It took a surprisingly long time for my order to be prepared. There was only one order ahead of me, so I didn’t expect the wait. It gave me a chance to check out their WIFi, though, which worked well. This restaurant is not near my home turf, but I visit this area several times a year and was looking forward to becoming acquainted with a special little spot, but I doubt that I will visit again. I hate to leave lackluster reviews, but truly, I could’ve gotten a better meal for a more reasonable price at Subway or almost any grocery store deli.

So excited to have this amazing café in Denver! The parties are wonderful. I wish I hadn’t tried the scones because now I am hooked! On my second trip, I ordered the grilled veggie panini with the onion marmalade rather than horseradish basil tomato spread. The marmalade definitely had an oniony taste but was unique and really good. Although the eggplant was a tad bit chewy, I really enjoyed the sandwich. I think it is important to note that the sandwich prices range from $ 6.75– $ 6.95 and do not include any chips or sides. Don’t let the exterior of the plaza in which it’s located deter you. Once you step into the Savory Plum, you’ll feel like you’re in a Dilworth neighborhood café.

Cool new place, in an area where coffee is hard to find. A bit small with a slim selection of pastries, but they try by cramming in a bunch of seats. Great coffee. Plan to try lunch soon. Oh and be prepared, not the café’s fault, but the entire staff next door at the hair salon likes to chain smoke right in front of the place. Hair salon now closed… yeah for SV and their customers!
