Everything is overpriced at an airport. I prefer getting sandwiches since it’s quick and easy. Sara Lee is good at the quick turnaround time. However, the quality isn’t all there. They don’t put a lot of meat on the sandwich and the bread is so dry. One would think that a bread that typically has preservatives in it to maintain its freshness would be soft and moist… Nope. Try another place.

Had the teriyaki chicken panini which was actually quite good! The downfall is the cleanliness of the entire establishment and higher than evicted prices. The good prep area appeared clean but as I was eating I noticed how dirty everything was — tables, chairs, equipment, etc… Perhaps if I saw that I probably would have went elsewhere.

The lady making my sandwich was literally moving at the pace of a snail. I had to repeat ingredients for my sandwich about 3 times each so either she was completely not listening to me or just didn’t care. The sandwich was fine, no problems there, but I would definitely avoid this place when having a layover in Denver. Long waits for a mediocre, over priced sandwich.

Sub-part sandwiches. The sign on the counter says«New Grilled Sandwiches» so I opt for the Californian. It makes mention of the croissant it comes on, but the girl behind the counter continues to ask me what type of bread… I thought I was committed to the bread i just ordered? The food comes in a plastic container; leaves something to be desired. The girl who rings me up for my food had the most unfriendly attitude i have ever seen. You are making sandwiches; not brain surgery-put a freakin’ smiles on your face and give me croissant sandwich! Layover in Denver; don’t eat here.

First time in my life where I’ve been struck in the eye by projectile crumbs from a so-called sticky bun. If you think that sentence sounds weird– well it bloody well is. Connecting through DEN today and with time constraints, it had to be this sandwich shop or the taco place. There was a long line so I thought, why not. The sandwich: you would think a Sara Lee branded shop would have enticing breads… Oh no. The sour dough on my roast beef has that ‘fresh out of the freezer’ taste. Yay. The fillings are pretty skim — one slice of beef, one slice lettuce, half square of cheese. You get better fillings at Subway, seriously. It tasted fine, all considering. And then the sticky bun… Well it tasted like dried brioche with sprinkles of cinnamon. No stick to it whatsoever. The projectile crumbs are from the brunt and dried bottom — the shelf they had the buns on was way too hot. What I was even more offended with is the plastic containers everything came in. Seriously, a skinny sandwich(any sandwich for that matter) just needs a paper bag.

I have had many layovers at the Denver airport and usually experience very nice meals. On one occasion I decided to give this place a shot. First thing that happens is I trip over a metal strip on the floor. Bad place to have a strip like that sticking up but partially my fault for being clumsy. So I wait in a small line a order a turkey sandwich and a soda and pay the not so friendly lady behind the counter. She takes my credit card rings it up and walks away. I tell her I need a receipt for my expenses. She sighs and huffs and prints off the receipt and hands it to me without a word. I step aside to let the next person in line order while I wait for my food. At this point no one is manning register. Then another lady who I presume was the manager yells at the young man who couldn’t speak a lick of English to handle the register. He walks up and looks at the guys who is about to order and the the manager yells again«No take that guys money first» and points to me. He looks at me and sticks out his had as to take money from me. I tell him I already paid. At this point the young guy is really confused and the manager comes storming up and says«Did you take his money yet?» I pull out my receipt and hold it up and said«I already paid». So she then berates the young guy and says well then help out the next in line. The next guys in the says«No thanks I go somewhere else». Finally my food comes and I ask for a bag so I could go eat it at the gate and the young guy had no idea what I meant so I just walk away to my gate. The sandwich was bland and dry and I didn’t even finish it. The soda was good though so I had that going for me.

Simple sandwich shop. Good if you’ve been traveling and want a simple lunch. Some unique sandwich combos if your feeling adventurous.

My husband and I had to catch a connecting flight at Denver Airport and had some time before our next flight so we decided to get something to eat and boy do I regret choosing this place. The service was absolutely horrible. Our order was completely off and they completely didn’t care. If I’m ever at this airport, I’ll just get some m&ms if there is no where else to eat.

Even for an airport food stop, this place is not a good stop. My sandwich was bland and their cookies were too solid; you could tell all of it had been there for a couple of days. Plus, one of the staff members didn’t know what he was doing with the credit card machine; I wouldn’t be surprised if I was charged twice. You’re not going to find great food an airport, but I would definitely not stop here again.

Close to the middle of terminal B, order to your right, right as you enter. I got a turkey bacon avocado… Blech I ended up just taking the turkey and bacon and rolling them into a meat sandwich! Avocado was basically lemony guacamole — unedible. Staff was ok, not super friendly and as others mentioned, English isn’t strong. I get it’s an airport restaurant, but still…

I had a chili dog here. It was edible, so I’m not going to give it one-star. However, the dog was drowning in watery chili, so you couldn’t pick it up and eat it. You had to eat it out of a little plastic tray, using plastic knives and forks(thanks, Nanny State) to cut it. This part of the United Terminal is definitely food challenged, so Sara Lee will surely stay in business. Unfortunately, it’s not a great choice.

This food stand is an easy grab for something quick to eat as you’re catching your flight. The employees don’t speak English. When I said yogurt parfait and pointed to their menu that read yogurt parfait, their response was«parquai?» They looked very confused. The turkey sandwich was not memorable. I didn’t finish it.

I was excited to see that they had a cuban sandwich on a panini. However, even after my sandwich was put in the oven it was a little cold when I started to eat it. On top of it being cold, my sliced meat was a bit dry and not much of any flavor. Definitely not the cuban sandwiches I am used to.

I ate the teriyaki chicken sandwich. It was made extremely quickly, and it tasted decent. I was able to eat the entire thing without feeling disgusted. I’m giving it four stars as an airport eatery. It would not be four stars for a regular non-airport restaurant.

I cant really say to much as I was in between flights when i stopped in for food. Its better to eat at the airport than to eat airplane food. If you really think about it, it cost the same and you have options.

I know I said Ham & Cheese many times, but the worker here just really really wanted to make me a chicken sandwich. I suspect that she did not speak or understand english. Food was at least fresh. The mustard is way to spicy for my tastes and detracted from the sandwich.

So… hmmm… There’s this metal strip in the floor where they lock up the store front at night. And it sticks up about 1⁄3 inch. So I’m wandering aimlessly around the airport on my cell phone looking for something to eat. Sara Lee Sandwiches looks not terrible. I wheel my luggage topped with backpack into the line, order my usual — one hot dog with mustard and one with chili(yeah I know, its what I like). I get to the cashier and decide to get a diet Pepsi. They don’t give me a bag for my dogs and I’m just wanting to get out to the terminal to consume everything before my flight so I don’t ask for a bag. Now I’m carrying the two dogs stacked up in one hand and the drink in the other. The drink is in the same hand that’s pulling my luggage combo with one finger. Here’s where the bump in the floor comes in. Yeah — splattered an entire diet Pepsi across the Denver airport terminal… sorry. The dogs were ok, but not A-OK.

Always looking for ways to kill time at airports… DIA is one of my favorite airports since although not huge they do offer some decent bars and even a massage place(well I hope it is still there). I just came across a few receipts dated 05÷14÷09… I bought a graduation card, a Bön Appetit Magazine(even though I’m a subscriber — nice Shiho) and a Vitamin C Water at Hudson News and a Pretzel w/Cheese at Sara Lee. For $ 2.94 I cannot complain about anything. I know I devoured it and tried to lick all the faux processed cheese out of the container… I remember all my food consuming experiences unless I’m blacked out(once I apparently yelled at my little sister while sitting on a toilet screaming, «FU#@ you, stop eating my Pizza Bagels»… um I’m hoping this is when I was visiting home while I was in college and not after… I don’t remember the incident but my sister told me the next morning.) So yes, pretzel and cheese lovely… but I cannot remember why the heck I was in Denver in May of 2009?!? I have 2 wedding this year, I know I go every year in January for Snowberry(ski trip to Keystone and cabin that can sleep 20) but what the heck happened in May? I used to live there but moved back in April of 2008… I must have had a stopover but I cannot think of where I was headed… I will take a minute or 3 to solve this little mystery. Wow.
