Santiago’s is a Denver gem. I don’t think you can find a better value for a breakfast burrito anywhere. Sure, there may be a few that are a few cents cheaper, but they’ll be primarily potato. Santiago’s breakfast burritos have a lot of egg, cheese, chile; and whatever the daily protein is. I love the half-and-half, which is a combination of the mild and the hot chile. It definitely hits the«Goldilocks zone» for heat: just right. I’m also a sucker for their chicharrón burrito, if I’m in the mood for a non-breakfast burrito.

My top Santiago’s restaurants! My first taste was In Brighton(6 – 7) years — and definitely my first choice– Because there consistent with fresh food served and very good service– 2nd is 6th and Sante Fe, still good every time– third is 84th and conifer, never had a bad experience– Needless to say I love there chile– Half n half– (That’s hard to say growing up having homemade) — what to order? Breakfast burrito’s till 1030 I like the bacon or ham, stuffed sopapias with beans and cheese inside, and you can’t go wrong with there cheese enchiladas–(with red chile-) — I believe in 2nd and 3rd chances and glad I came back to this location– My food was fresh and the chile had a bite-The waitresses were friendly and went out of there way for me– Thank u for the great service, I will be back soon– :)

I’m a fan usually and this place always stops up the southbound Federal Blvd. theytraffic because it is pretty darn popular and for good reason. I have dealt with them before the remodel and often have more customers then Jack n Grills across the street where you have to get out of your car and go in usually for a «better» burrito I think(choice of green, red or both) for $ 2.00 or a smothered monster for 8.00 and even a huger monster up to 7 lbs. But southbound ways I usually can get reliable green chile in different temps at Santiagos and they are just right price wise depending on how fancy you want it. But I really wanted to scream when I had one breakfast burrito with beans and it had a gluey consistency that would rival bondo. Then it looked like a a project on tossing your ingredients on the tortilla from 5 ft away and refused to roll into a proper burrito. It just turned into a project of keeping it from rolling on your lap. Such a shame. then the other one was ok but restaurants should never let that stuff out the drive through window. I’ll be back because there have been days where they nailed it, but never let your brand sputter!

All these bad reviews are lying. Santiagos has saved me from some of the worst hangovers the rocky mountains have ever seen. I sit in my car in the drive-through chugging Gatorade and say«half and half spicy smothered burrito add guac please» more often than I am proud of. Long live Santiagos.

I ordered a regular(no meat) breakfast burrito with no add ons(one would think this means no meat since it says on the menu: potato, egg and cheese) and got a burrito with bacon. I have a circumstantial allergy to bacon. It probably would have tasted great but for that bacon and getting sick!

Good service. Smothered sopapilla and cheese enchilada was very tasty. Loved their green chili. I would definitely stop here again.

Santiago’s is one of those places that I crave. I get it in my head that I want a breakfast burrito OR a chicken tostada with a side of beans & mild green chile. And I cannot be persuaded otherwise! This place still delivers although there were a few mishaps with this location. 1. The drive through situation is disastrous — I“m sure when they opened this place they had no idea it would get so busy. Located right off of über busy Federal, the drive through lane only has room for about 3.5 cars. Which means that 4th car is gonna have it’s booty hanging out on Federal if it has a lotta junk in the trunk. 2. See #1 and go inside. Seems to be a LOT quicker. Which is what I would’ve done but by the time I realized the line was so slow, I was socked in by a car in front and behind me. 3. I didn’t help the situation much for people behind me because I pulled up to the menu, waited for a few second, decided on what I wanted and honestly didn’t realize it was where I was supposed to order because no one said anything. Plus I could tell Car #4 had it’s ass hanging out onto Federal. OHTHEPRESSURE 4. So, user error on my part because they didn’t have my order when i pulled up to the window. Bless her, the girl at the window looked ready to kill me when I said I hadn’t placed an order. Unfortunately, once I placed my order, it took a while and she brought me the wrong thing. But hey, a chicken taco is just a folder up chicken tostada(which is what I wanted). The burrito also leaked right through the bag and I almost lost my loot but caught it in time.

Most horrible place ever! I called in and placed an order. I went in to get it and they said they don’t know what I’m taking about, didn’t even offer to re order. Alexandrea has very poor customer service skills and shouldn’t be answering the phones taking orders! They are all very rude and the manager doesn’t even speak English so he doesn’t even know what is going on. I wouldn’t recommend this Santiagos at all!

This has To be the absolute most unorganized restaurant we’ve ever been to. We have given it numerous chances and won’t ever dine here again. Always very poor service and extremely slow. Order is usually messed up when you have more than one different item on it.

Good burritos, but we called ahead to place our order. We got there to pick them up 20 minutes later… We waited there for another 40 minutes…

Pros: –clean restaurant –okay portions –friendly staff Cons: –poor service –long waits –mediocre food The last time I went, my wife had ordered the food by phone and was told the food would be ready in 10 minutes. We got our food 45 minutes after.

Great big and inexpensive tacos and burritos. Service is okay. Quick food but nothing that is overwhelmingly amazing when it comes to taste. The tomatoes on my meal were frozen.

Thank you Santiagos. Thank you Santiagos for such poor service. I went to pick some breakfast burritos on a Sunday morning and the place was very busy. The servers and members of the kitchen were all walking around not at all acknowledging me to see if I needed help or if I wanted to place an order it was almost as if I was invisible or nonexistent. After waiting at the counter for a good fifteen minutes to place my to go order someone did ask if I could be helped I gave them my order for the breakfast burritos at which point I was informed they had stopped serving breakfast because they ran out. Needless to say I was rather irritated for one having been totally ignored and two for them having zero communication to their customers about running out of food. I voiced my frustration to the woman at the counter left and found a wonderful place called Javier’s Diner on 38th and Tennyson. The service at Javier’s was fantastic the food was wonderful and I will be certainly returning to Javier’s in the future. So again thank you Santiagos for waisting my time and running out of eggs cheese tortillas and meat, it’s not like you serve Mexican food, oh wait you’re supposed to. But hey without such poor service I would have never come across Javier’s diner so again I thank you and I will never eat at Santiagos again.

The two-star review is due to the service and the time it takes to get food. The food itself is amazing. We have known for a while that this particular location is slower than most others, but tonight took the cake. We called in our order and when I asked«how long will that take?», I was told that they will start making the food once we arrive and pay… so, literally zero point in calling ahead. Then, once I arrived and paid, I waited with several other customers for 25 minutes only to get half my order, then another 10 for the rest of my order. I witnessed customers that were dining in asking for menus, silverware and salsa refills. Also, the employees are less than polite. If we have to spend this much time waiting for our food, we may as well go to a location that has its stuff together. We won’t be back.

This review it isn’t based off of their food this review is based off of the fact that I just watched them say no to people in front of us in the drive-through at 8:01 at night because they just closed but they were already in the drive-through. I’ve never eaten here but imagine I’ll go eat at the many other Mexican restaurants in the area.

I have eaten here many times. And I dunno why come back. The meals I received today were by far the smallest I have ever seen a Mexican restaurant serve. This has made me finally decide that I will NEVER come back. I ordered the green chili plate and pork dinner plate and a large soda. Spent $ 20. And it was most expensive garbage has ever been.

Too long to get anything! They always mess up orders. Today My tacos have no cheese on them. And my girlfriend got a bean and cheese burrito smothered, ended up with a chicharon burrito. Don’t bother. Get it together santi staff! Have some pride in the food you’re sending out

I cannot understand why this place is so hallowed. Santiago’s is legendary in Denver — but why? I have eaten Santiago’s twice and both times have been disappointed and even kind of grossed out. This shit is amateur hour for breakfast burritos. After waiting in the drive thru for 20 minutes hungover as hell, I cannot describe the feeling of let down I had when their food hit my mouth. WTF Denver? If anything, this burrito made me more hungover because it was nothing but burnt eggs with faux chili wrapped in a soggy tortilla. As a side note, though the«hot hot» was only a 4 going down the hatch, it was an incredible 9 out of 10 coming out later. So that’s notable. If you have the chance, skip this let down and find yourself the Big Mamas Burritos on 44th in Wheat Ridge(specifically the burrito stand inside the building shaped like a hotdog). Now THIS place knows how to make a breakfast burrito. I won’t bother describing the lunch that was catered to my office by Santiagos; I’ll just say DON’T DOIT.

One of my favorites and always lands on my to do list when I come back to Denver. No breakfast beats the half and half breakfast burritos… don’t forget to add cactus to them for an even better taste. It may not be in the best area of town, but it certainly gives you an amazing bang for your buck.
