I love this place, the food is great, but they close early all the time. Sometimes there’s an explanation, sometimes there’s just a sign on the door that says«We Closed Early.» It’s incredibly frustrating, and they would get 5 stars if not for this matter.

I had a great coffee in little lovely spot. I was walking down the street and accidentally found this place. To be honest this place wasn’t so catchy but inside it was a great coffee and breakfast fare. They made a decent cortado and the menu was extensive. Recommended to anyone within walking distance.

I hate the fact that I have to give this place 3 stars. Originally, it was only going to recieve 2 stars from me. However, the nice guy that brought my food out scored a redemption star. I’ve been meaning to come here for months. The concept of having a variety of food options at a coffee shop is wonderful. Upon ordering, the woman at the counter seemed annoyed and irritated that she even had to deal with me. I was looking at the breakfast menu and she took it out of my hands flipped it over, and said that I could only order from one side in a very matter of fact way. I’m not sure why she couldn’t have just told me that. When I recieved my food and beverage, both items were wrong. My latte was plain instead of the caramel that I asked for and my burrito didn’t have any vegetarian sausage in it like I asked for. The quality of both were meh, if not below average. This is a great place to come if you are wanting a nice social setting. I would not recommend coming here to get work done, study or read. It is pretty loud with all the different interactions going on. Not complaining about that though!

First and last time here today. Arrived and needed to use the restroom right away. Broken water fountain outside, broken urinal in men’s room, broken soap dispenser at the sink, no paper towels. I finished and asked an employee behind the bar for some napkins to dry my hands and she responded, «use your shirt.» kidding, but still… Is that the type of first impression you’d want to make if you owned this place? Food was unimpressive and overpriced. My friends and I were the only guests eating food, yet it took 25 minutes to make a sandwich and two salads. I ordered a chicken salad and iced coffee — total was $ 15 before tip. Veggies in the salad were fresh and tasted pretty good, but like I said it was quite overpriced. Chicken lacked flavor and was rubbery. An employee sarcastically called out, «bye! I love you» as we left. Won’t be back.

Great location but why does it feel like I’m drinking my cappuccino next to the smelly kitchen line of a restaurant? Please take some of the profits you’re making from the mark-up on your premium coffee and invest it into a better ventilation system! You owe your customers that much! The coffee, customer service, layout, and location make this a great spot for hunkering down with a laptop and battling work in the trenches of the daily grind, unfortunately the mustard gas coming out of the kitchen ensures the war is lost before it ever begins. Extra star for having some tasty beer options.

Unhappy guy on the till, food quality was poor. Service was slow. I guess the«flatbread» or 4 inch microwave pizza was that bad so 3 stars is appropriate I guess. Staff should cheer up abit.

For all the coffee shops and amazing great brunch/breakfast places Denver has to offer, this place is not one of them. I’m surprised they had such great reviews to begin with. You’re first encounter is by an unfriendly cashier/server with attitude(too cool for school) then it takes foreverrr for a bagel with cream cheese, really? Oh and don’t order anything special in your coffee because they’ll forget. Waste of time in terms of money and service when there are so many better places minutes within walking distance.

Yeah, no. Was visiting Denver, looking for a coffee shop respite and found this place via Google Maps(was in the area). First, rude service… Like the«we will barely look at you to acknowledge your existence”-kind of rude. The barista filled my bf’s HOT tea to the brim and merely watched in silence as I struggled to move it and burned myself. Second, bad coffee. Third– and completely a personal preference– not my type of ambience. Denver was cool. This place was a low point though.

A good sized and tasty breakfast burrito that’s reasonably priced. Yup, I’ll be back. The coffee is pretty good too. Apparently, it’s the place to get work done on your laptop as most people here are staring at multiple screens while sipping on a cup of Joe. Just make sure to park in the right spot, as the warning signs about getting a boot or tow are numerous.

A HUGE Coffee Shop! And yet they are still personable and friendly! Plenty of seats, great working WIFI… and they even asked me how spicy I wanted my soy chai… What? I had to think about this. I didn’t even know this was an option! There were tons of folks working on their laptops. Music piped from the ceilings was groovy and energetic without being too obtrusive. This is a new favorite for me in Denver– and would be a great spot to work, have a meeting, eat lunch(they serve FOOD!), or just pop in for a perfectly spiced Chai. Thanks ROOSTER&MOON for making me feel so groovy and hip!

Rooster & Moon is an old standby in my rotation of places to work on the weekend. They have lots of outlets and truly awesome food(the avocado & berry salad is giant and delicious), so it’s where I go when I’m hungry and need to work through lunch. The only downsides are that there is a limit on how long you can use the wifi, and(probably the reason for the foregoing) that they are often packed.

This place is cute – a bit loud, but plenty of seating and parking in this area is pretty easy. I ordered a double espresso and a veggie breakfast burrito. The espresso was good – smooth and well rounded. The burrito, however, was virtually inedible. The wait for it was over 10 minutes, it came with mediocre salsa from a jar and was basically overbooked egg, bland potato, and green chile skins in a scorched tortilla. I was only able to finish half of it – I realize that it wasn’t made in house, but the quality was low enough to turn me off of food here for the foreseeable future. I went with three stars because the coffee was quite good and the place seems like a nice spot to hang out/get some work done. The service, though slow, was very friendly.

So far SOTASTY! first time here and I will be back We ordered the Addison sandwich. It was positively perfect. I ordered the lentil soup which had vegeterian sausage, avocado and potato. It was delightful!!! Whatever they did they need to keep doing it! Talk about taste! My mom ordered the tomato basil soup. I tried it, it was a little chunky which I found to be unique and perfect. Chunks of tomato and true to the name of the soup. I enjoyed my short yet delicious experience, so I thank you.

I love this place! From the atmosphere to the food/coffee to the awesome baristas. Everyone is super friendly which can sometimes be hard to find in your local coffee shops. The coffee is on point — I go for the bottomless but lattes rock too, including their PSL. The Sam I Am breakfast sandwich, the curry chicken wrap, the crazy good jalapeño salad dressing, honestly any sandwich I’ve had has been great so you can’t go wrong. And no I’m not getting paid for this glowing review :) Other pros: wifi is solid! Lots of tables! But don’t come all at once, I want to make sure I can still get a good spot when I come in :)

I have been to Rooster & Moon about 4 times now. t is hip and laid back, and I love that. It is mostly filled with people working on their computers or chatting with a friend. I really love that you can get coffee, smoothies, OR a beer. However, every time i have been I find that there tends to be an individual or two at the bar who really likes to be heard throughout the establishment. Slightly distracting… anywho. The first time I ate here I got the chicken curry wrap and I have not been able to stray away from it. It is amazing and I am not even a huge curry fan. I also got a sweet chai latte– Delish. I also got a small side of the berry and avocado salad. Salad is delish, wasn’t fond of the dressing though. The food truly is delicious and so are the drinks and smoothies(i had the pb&j last time and that is a meal within itself). However prices are a little steep for what you are getting.(Wrap, side salad, and a chai was 16 $). Regardless of the price, but I will still be back.

At first I wasn’t super impressed with rooster and the moon. Coffee has always been good, but I love a good breakfast burrito with my coffee and they were serving«mames burritos» which are a premade burrito served at many coffee establishments around the city and they are just not my favorite. Now rooster and the moon makes their burritos in house, which are far superior to «mames». Score. I have also branched out and tried their bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, it’s awesome. Double score. They are also the only coffee shop I have stumbled upon that makes their caramel latte’s with real caramel instead of just flavored syrup. And it’s on my way to work which is very helpful. Keep up the good work R&M!

Located just off of Speer Boulevard 8th(ish), Rooster & Moon is a teacher’s dream. Well, really, anybody’s dream who needs a quiet perch to work on the weekends or has the luxury of working from home and/or a coffee shop. Rooster & Moon is a breakfast and coffee joint by morning/day and a bar/pub by night. Hence, the name of the restaurant. Get it? This coffee shop is perfect for the individual or pair who needs a small table to work. There is one larger table that can be used for slightly larger groups, but I wouldn’t count on it being available.(If you’re really interested, perhaps call the shop and see if they will reserve it? I’ve definitely seen a «reserved» tent on the table before.) There is local art on the walls, and it changes regularly. Because I’m not there all that often anymore, I feel as though the art is different every time I’m in. As you walk indoors, you’ll notice a few small tables set up outside. Grab them fast if the weather is nice because these are a hot commodity! You’ll walk past some pretty sweet wallpaper of aspen trees as you arrive at the cashier/barista. There’s a case full of some goodies if you need something fast. But, if you have the time to sit down and savor some good olé food, do it. I’ve never actually had the breakfast options, I prefer the Berry Avocado or Wrigley salads if I want something lighter. However, the PBGB(peanut butter granola banana) is my go to. It can be breakfast or lunch, and with my easy americano on the side. Heavenly. I have to admit I’ve never been by at night, so I can’t comment on the nightly atmosphere. Though, I do love the idea of corn hole, so who knows what the future might hold. For now, this coffee pub is a favorite workspace for this early bird.

When the gregarious woman at the counter recommended a bunch of food stuff and said the hummus is «the best,» I thought she was perhaps just being overly enthusiastic or dabbling in the hyperbole of our generation(you know… it was«the worst» or it was«awesome» or «literally»). Nevertheless, the sandwich looked tasty, so I ordered the Greektown on flatbread and further followed her rec throwing some avocado and chicken in the mix. With all those additions, the sandwich went form $ 6.50 to $ 11(ouch!). But, it was worth it. The woman was not kidding. The hummus was effin’ tasty, the veggies were fresh, the chicken was marinated and tender, the bread was perfect, and I wolfed that thing down as if it were my last meal. Super boistrous and friendly staff. Lots of people on their work lunch break coming in, and because of that, it’s hard to get the vibe of the place. Can’t really place the culture of the patrons or the establishment so it’s not a place I personally would hang out for a long time or saddle up and do some work(there were some people with laptops so this could be a great place to eat, get caffeinated, and be productive). That said, Rooster is far from lacking personality. The food is simple but great. And it’s nice to go to a place that serves so many functions: watering hole(beer on tap), office(I assume they have wifi but didn’t check), café(lots of coffee and espresso drinks), and sustenance provider(salads, sandwiches, pastries, and breakfast served all day).

I’ve only been here twice and if I didn’t live so far away from it, would definitely be a regular. It looks like any funky, eclectic coffeehouse but they also have a wonderful food menu. Food at places like these can be a crapshoot but they make everything with love(even with the irony of the hipsters making it!) Twice I’ve had a latte and The Wrigley Salad and the Berry Avocado and everything was delicious! Smooth, strong lattes made to order and huge salads with a quiet atmosphere. They have a bar with cans of beer if you’re so inclined plus… wait for it… parking! Definitely stop by if you’re in the mood for some java but also a little hungry as well.

I just want to say this coffee place is delicious — it reminds me of Europe meets Seattle … I’m very picky about my latte… and they make it right every time… so try it out — the food is good too… and not very pricey. oatmeal is yum . And today I’m having a little Sammi w soup — the front desk lady was so sweet– I love this little shop — and 4 more checkin still I get a free drink!
