I stopped in this afternoon for a quick bite for lunch while I was running errands. The big sign on the side of the road caught my eye and I immediately thought«chips and salsa!» I was pretty hungry. I was seated quickly in a booth by the window. The atmosphere was chill. It was pretty quit as there was only one other occupied table in the whole place. As expected, chips and salsa were brought to me immediately and I started to suck ‘em down. The salsa was tasty. I enjoyed it. The salsa dish was little, there wasn’t much in there! As I flagged the waitress down for a refill(as I still had plenty of chips left) she already had my food in her hand as she was coming out of the kitchen… super quick! I ordered the #4 combo, which came with a beef taco, a cheese enchilada and a chili rellano. Again, I was amazed at how quickly it came out! It was decent. Not spectacular, but not bad. I have to give props on the taco not being soggy. One thing I notice with most mexican places is that whenever I get a taco, they’re soggy and fall apart. The bottom of the taco didn’t even start to crack until I was to the last few bites, excellent! However, the rellano was not cooked all the way through. I got a few bits of undercooked eggroll wrapper in my bites which I ended up spitting out… ugh. Overall, 3 stars. Not great, but not bad. Pretty much A-OK :)

Decent mexican food with about average quality food. After living close by for over almost a year, we decided to walk down and check this place out. I couldn’t find too much about this place online(no website) so I figured why not mozy on it and check it out ourselves. The interior and décor of this place seems like it came straight from the 1970s with older than old booths and tables that seemingly cover what once was a dance floor. Their entertainment system is a giant screen big television(no not flat screen — one of the GINORMOUS big blocky televisions with the screen half going out) which they had on some special of 60 minutes going while we ate our meal(kinda weird, but we were more interested in the liquid diet than anything else). We ordered a pitcher of margaritas(which came out in one of the largest pitchers I have seen to date) and at $ 14.00 I was thinking this was going to be one of my new favorite places. Good News: They were pretty tasty with the slightest taste of tequila. Not So Hot News: After about our sixth or seventh glass(they don’t give you the largest marg glasses) I was no worse off than when I walked into the restaurant. This led us to believe that there probably wasn’t a whole lot of tequila in this delicious concoction presented before us. We also ordered some food with our libations. I ordered a combination plate with a cheese enchilada and a chicken burrito. My buddy had some chicken soft tacos. Food wasn’t too bad — I would classify it as your typical mexican food. It wasn’t Oh My God! This was the best mexican food in my entire life, nor was it completely awful. This place is worth checkin out if you are on this side of town and you are craving some average mexican food. I may be more apt to go down the street to Sams No 3, but maybe Sam’s has a crazy long wait and you demand to have some chicken nachos STAT. If you are planning on going on the liquid diet for the evening — this probably isn’t the place to satisfy that urge — unless of course, you were planning on ordering a Virgin margarita(in which case you might enjoy it).

I used to live and work in Aurora for many years. This restuarant has had a few owners in the many years that I have been frequenting it. Some were better than others. The current owners are very friendly and the food is always great. The prices aren’t too bad either. Finding a good Mexican restaurant is as hard as finding a good Chinese restaurant. Give them a try.

I like the layout of this place, has a big dance floor(thats coverd w tables), a cozy little bar, and a million places to sit. I ordered a combo plate of a cheese enchilada, bean burrito, and chile rellano. Was pretty sub-par. My relleno didn’t have a chile in it :(…sadness. The entire meal was VERY cheesy, which was its only silver lining. The man had a carnitas plate that he says was above standard. Yay for him! Ordered 2 margaritas a piece as they were $ 3.50. They were ok, but I didn’t even get to scrunch my face up in a tequila shocked stupor because you couldn’t taste any :(. This place is really close to my house so I wish i liked it more. Might return for the cozy bar.

Stopped here with my parents one day when they were in the area. The food was inexpensive, the place clean, and the Margaritas suuuuper cheap! $ 2 small, $ 3 large!!! They weren’t the greatest marg’s i’ve ever had but they were decent, especially for the price. I was very happy with my meal. The crispy chile relleno on the side was scrumptious. To sum it up, 3 happy adults, big tasty meals, 6 margs = $ 49. Yum.
