Went by today and they are gone. Space empty and a for rent on window.

I strongly disagree with the negative reviews for this shop. They have a great selection and the customer service is out of this world! I felt amazingly welcome the moment I walked in and everyone helped me with anything I needed. I think most of their items appeal to a sophisticated shopper. I really enjoy it here and intend to visit frequently.

Pretty all over the place. I’d pop by but won’t make this a regular stop.

I do not understand the negative reviews. My girlfriend and I visited Puttin On the Ritz last week and had a wonderful experience! I bought a beautiful Coach purse at a reasonable price and a darling designer red coat for $ 35. The owner and her assistant were delightful, very friendly and helpful. The store is full of classic clothes with designer labels that never go out of style. Shoppers looking for trendy or faddish items will probably not find what they want here. If you want to portray a classy, well-dressed, tasteful woman, you will love this store.

I love consignment stores and was excited when I saw the sign for this one, it is pretty close to cherry creek so you think there would be some treasures there? Nope! I spent over 2 hours in this store and really looked through stuff. At most consignment stores if you look hard enough you find some gems. Not here. Everything was VERY dated. Even some of the tags were YEARS old. I was surprised at how much St John they had but almost all of it was at least 10 – 15 years old even some from the 80’s! The couple of pieces that were newer were so ridiculously over priced I could get it for that NEW. They had jeans from god only knows how long ago. None of any good brands. The older lady(owner?) was very pushy on what was there but never offered to help me. Did I mention there were clothes there that like they were from wal mart marked for $ 40!!! The sign said it was high end and new clothes, an extremely misleading sign. Oh well the clothes match what you would expect from the outside, old, dirty, and crammed into a small tiny shopping mall.

I was fully prepared to write a terrible review on this place, but all the other reviewers beat me to it. Nevertheless, I have a few words for the owners/staff of this clothing pawn shop: 1) Lose the attitude– You sell other people’s old clothes, from a dilapidated storefront, in a strip mall, off of Colorado Blvd. 2) If you make eye contact from inside the store with a customer carrying an armful of potential merchandise for your store– do not stand there and stare as she struggles to open the door by herself. Customer service 101. 3) Do not click your tongue while you sort through a pile of freshly dry cleaned and pressed dress pants, pencil skirts, and cashmere sweaters as if they carry the plague and make a comment about your store only carrying professional items– I happen to actually work in a professional office environment, and you… well, see point 1… so I’ll be the judge of that. To Unilocalers: Do not even bother with this horrible store– take your business, and your consignment elsewhere(ANYwhereelse!)

I love consignment stores. I can usually find a treasure in this one. Great staff and good pricing for the brands. As for the other poster that said you could find something for new for the same prices, I disagree. I guess you have to know what some of the brands actually cost in Nordstrom, Saks, etc.

This is really old clothes priced way to high. I went here looking for a gown or nice cocktail dress for a work function and was very disappointed. Most of the dresses seemed to be from Prom 1983. The other garments(pants, shirts, skirts) seemed to follow suite. For what you pay here, you could pretty much get something new for not much more. And there also seemed to be a strange odor in the air.

Awful. If you want to give away your clothes, then consign here. I consigned a couple of fur coats here, two of which were subsequently ‘stolen” and one supposedly sold. Pat, the owner, refused to reimburse me for the loss of the two coats, claiming she had no insurance for it. I checked her police report for the two ‘stolen’ coats, and she had listed her insurance company(though she told me she didn’t have insurance) and claimed the loss of all three coats. What got me was her refusal to reimburse me and general rude behavior about the whole thing. Given her rude dealings with me and insurance fraud, I doubt the coats were actually stolen. I pulled the rest of my items, and they came back to me dirty and wrinkled. I will never buy or consign here again. Parking is usually a problem here, too.

On the main door, there is a posted list of consigners who write bad checks. That is pretty badass to just put it out there for people to see. I like the balls on you, Puttin’ on the Ritz. There’s not a big selection of clothing here. Nothing special about this consignment shop, but it’s decent. There were, however, cookies and chocolate covered strawberries sitting on a table when I came in. They looked yummy, but I didn’t take one because I didn’t buy anything and I didn’t want to seem as if I came in just for the treats. Plus, I wanted to shop without getting chocolate all over myself and the clothing, but it’s nice that the staff left some nibbles out. And the women working here are very nice. So who knows, I might be back if I’m in the area, but I wouldn’t make a special trip just for this place.
